The octopus actually died over the course of hours. It seemed faster since it was from the deeps perspective and he was in shock.
How do you know this?
Octopuses can survive up to an hour without water. Also we've seen her out of water before, i think it was very briefly mentioned in the last episode. Also the time Starlight walked in on Deep mid octo-bj

Pretty sure the octopus would move towards the door as opposed to just laying there and dying if it was the course of hours
Ashley doesn't go because she has nothing in her life without vought and also no powers. She is stuck in fear in an abusing relationship and can't run away like A-train can
Thats why she might get desperate and take compound V to be safe
Problem is, the show already show us two times where the compound V works on an adult, so it will probably give ashley a super weird/ useless power
@qwerkel878 weird maybe but might not necessarily be useless. I think V on adults, it reflect more on their psyche or emotional state if it doesn't kill them. Take Hughie Sr, for example. So for Ashley, she always irritated, stressed and figity. I like to think she may get teleportation, or even invisibility. Who knows

The said in the episode the octopus could only be out of the tank for a limited time hence the several gasps for air during the death scene she didn’t instantly die but was suffocated slowly
Apparently octopi can stay out of water for up to 30 minutes. That whole scene still doesn't really make sense because it didn't convey that much time had passed. The Octopus was out of her tank long enough for Deep to read his stupid poem book in the previous scene. The show did a weak job at explaining the difference between the two...
@trebmal587 Octopi also have the ability to store water in a sack inside their bodies. She had probably stored some when Deep was reading her the poem
A-Train was also foreshadowed during the A-Train puppet scene in the beginning. When Ryan couldn't do the song, everything stops, and you can see the A-Train puppet going unconscious.
That's a stretch. When his puppet is replaced later and Ryan does the same thing on television, the puppets do the same thing. It's just that the person controlling them stops. We even see some of the puppet masters sneaking out after his outburst during live tv.
@@thekillah24th Fr...the puppet going "unconscious" doesn't even make sense to foreshadow what happened with A-Train. Dude straight up runs away.
It would actually be foreshadowing if the puppet was missing or if it was the only one to walk out of the frame during the song or something like that
@@brendonw456 honestly it's good foreshadowing, just super on the nose. i interpreted that as him officially not being 'puppeted' around by Vought anymore because in the same episode he outs himself as the leak and runs away.

@@turnleft8645 I'm really not counting on that. This looks like their way of subverting expectations. Because everyone expected A-Train to die. Instead, they write him out of the story by having him run away.
And also, in this case, you'd just be hypothesizing that this is foreshadowing. It hasn't happened yet, and as far as we know, it may never happen. Then it would be foreshadowing nothing still
i'm honestly impressed they were able to get an oscar-winning actress on the show

5:28 An octopus stores water in a pouch so it may breath it while out of the water. It's possible she didn't have time to fill that pouch prior to the damage. It's also possible the scene lasted longer than we saw on screen.
Literally anyone that has ever seen an octopus will tell you that it won't die in seconds being out of the water. Considering how pissed off an octopus can get when they're out of water The Deep probably had to tune her out when she switched from begging him for help to just straight up cursing him out lol

I don’t know how people don’t understand Homelander actually did care about A-Train, I mean he did pick him to be on the team, A-Train killed Popclaw for him. The Deep and Mavae have told stories about times they were all just hangout getting drunk and using their powers together, A-Train even offered to get him some Shake Shack! I think the type of fans who make videos like that are the type that only look away from their phones during the action scenes.
He called him fat and bullied him multiple times for his heart problems, including threatening his life multiple times. Homelander only cares for a train because he thinks he can control him as much as he does the deep. I think the type of fans who make comments like this are the type that only look at the screen during action scenes.
Homelander cared about him being an asset, he treated A-Train like shit and threatened to laser him among other things, he only cares for the control he thinks he has over A-Train. I think people that leave comments like this are the type of people to only look away from their phones during action scenes

He cared about him, but not for the person he is, and definitely not in a normal way. Homelander has always had this twisted definition of family, and he sees the other members of the Seven (at least the original ones) as his little sisters and brothers who look up to him and are completely subdued, so when one of them betrays his trust it's unfathomable to him. Typical narcisstic behaviour.
