Thank you for the info. However since this video. I swapped in a mild built motor, and actually sold it this past summer to a father and 2 sons are their first project car.
I just picked up a '73 swinger. I haven't got it running yet, but it has the slant six, so I have no doubt it will run. You could never get those things to die, even when you wished they would, so you had an excuse to get a different car. I shouldn't say anything. I may have jinxed myself.
Oh man, I love the sound of that starter while it is cranking!
These old Mopar starters have a unique sound to them. Thanks for subscribing!
They sure do and you’re welcome!
My Plymouth Fury when cold, slow and sluggish. No, No, No, No, "YES"! whine down. Miss the hell of that.
Oh man, I loved the sound of those starters!
Check the choke/fast idle settings. It should have a fast idle speed of 1500 RPM's.

Thank you, I appreciate it!
I have the same car.love driving it.
It's been one of the most reliable cars I've ever owned.
Not original starter? cause it doesn't sound horrible like the originals lol. cool car!
No, At the time it had a "mini" starter from a Dodge Dakota.
Pump gas pedal 3 times, hold down 1/4 pedal, stick tougn out and turn key.
I found closing my right eye yields the best results lol.
Closing right eye & farting produced best results.
You Need To Stomp Harder On The Throttle… this way you get the hole in firewall
I had the same car same motor.
I had a 74 dart custom, swinger, brougham with a slant 6 and it was the least cold natured car I've ever owned.
Nice! This is the oldest car in my fleet. And it has been one of the most reliable cars I've owned lol.

This definitely doesn't sound like a slant 6 to me ... sounds like the small V-8.
Haha, it was just a lowly tired slant. I did swap in a hotter one with a small cam, headers and a super six intake a couple years ago.
Sounds like a v8
Lol, thanks for the comment and subscribing!
slant six is problematic in starting
I know, I loved that starter sound!
