Alcorn played Get Away by EWFire. That is a hard song to play, salute to play it. Then JSU follows with Shanise Great battel. love it JSU all day.
JSU version of Get Away is far more complicated and JSU executes it wonderfully.

@@aquannsmith89 Alcorn's arrangement surely isn't hard to play. Like I said, ours is far more complicated. Comparing the two Da Boom's arrangement has more going on, more moving parts. Go listen. I know from experience.

TxSU and SU the only schools that sound good with euphoniums. Everyone else could benefit from switching back to baritones.

Mane I give alcorn credit they did well to keep it close. But jsu is just on a clear different level of musicality and execution it’s damn near scary how they’ve had almost a new book and still great execution each week. WOW oh wow 💯🤝🏾 jsu win.

I didn’t necessarily enjoy this 5th. I’ve heard better from both bands this year. I enjoyed JSU’s sound more than Alcorn. ASU did better than last year, but it wasn’t enough. JSU with the W. OAN: Alcorn played Getaway at sight reading speed and it still wasn’t good. Try again next year. ✌🏾

I am 19 years old graduated from High School 7 months ago and every since I was 4 years old I had always dreamed of and wanted to March in the Marching Band but I never got the the chance and I still wanna pursue my dream of Marching in the Band and become a Director of Bands but I will always continue to pray to God and never give up.

It's not even about being outnumbered. You can clearly hear how clean, balanced, precise, cohesive, powerful, dynamic, and IGNAT JSU is compared to Chicken Coop University. You can be small but still be all of these things but CCU is not. No one sit here and listen then come back and say Alcorn was 🔥 or put up a good fight. This was a complete MASSACRE and Dr. Little released one of his hounds to finish them off.
Less numbers means you should not have that many mess ups jsu had a much larger band but still held it together

Miles was the first school I heard playing it it, either 2004 or 2005. Jackson State also played it in 2005, but I don’t think it was the arrangement they played here.
Didn't NSU change their original version from 09. The new arrangement is not even as full as it was back then. A comparative video of the two bands playing it wouldn't even be fair. Boom's arrangement has no empty spots, but you can hear that all through Spartan's version
Miles been playing it since at least 02 I think.
@MarchingsportHD wasn't saying the legion played it 1st... yea, I think miles was the 1st to play it back in 04. Just saying the legions arrangement is dam near unmatched. It pretty much sounds just like the original song plus it's clean and clear the whole way..... start to finish.
