Thank you so much! I appreciate your video. I am struggling with funds for repairs. A mechanic Quoted me 3k for the repairs. I was able to do it my own. Thank you again!
Thank you Braddah, You have just made my life soooo much easier Brah!!!! Very well done all the way through. Instructions with the parts made NO MENTION of jacking up the engine, sizes of bolts or nuts but TORQUE values were all over the place! You ROCK DUDE!!! PS - I have a major issue with the blatant greed that manufacturers of this industry have practiced in multiple ways but CAN NOT get over how they use so DARN many sizes of bolts/nuts while building a car!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🥵🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 When Ford made the Model T he was aware of a high percentage of his customers who struggled to put food on their tables and refrained from forcing the diyer to buy mass amounts of tools!! You can pick 3 of the most common sizes and make a strong and safe car
About how much would I expect to pay to have both driver and passenger done (Lower control arms with ball joints, sway bar links, brake pads, rotors, and strut/shock assembly?
I just got quoted 2100-2200 all that minus the brakes in OH at an independent shop. 466 for full front struts, 308 for LCAs, 270 for sway bar links, and 5 hours of labor. I know for a fact they add margin to their parts. I wont be getting the work done there, but hope that helps in some way. **looks like it should be 1700 based on the itemized view, labor was added twice by mistake.
Hopefully you offered to change the other side because when one side goes bad the other is sure to follow. I have a 2014 Sienna and about to change the lower control arm-ball joint assy, inner/outer ties, and ball bearings on both sides. After this it will pretty much have a new front end because I already changed the strut assy, CV axle, and sway bars. If it still has problems after that I'll have my in-laws take it to Mexico and sell it or run it off a cliff.
Dude, that was absolutely a four-beer; if not, six-beer job and you made it look like you did a cakewalk blindfolded. Hats off to you.
That birds chirping background is wonderful

I think if you include of torque wrength into titening all nuts and bolts, it will be perfect.
Great job of explaining as you went along. Thanks for your time and effort.

If I use decent after market parts for this I hope they last a few years because I hear they are likely to fail in less than a year
