I was so excited that I finally found someone who posted a video explaining in detail how to use microcontrollers with MSFS, only to be extremely disappointed that Part 2 was never made. Such a shame.
I really wish you could complete this series, I would love to be able to build my own cockpit and I have so many things to learn from you about hardware, coding and building a whole project. Carry on with the awesome work!
Dude this is really engaging and a great subject, I would like to encourage you to continue your tutorial as I'm with everyone else here in that I'm waiting patiently
Thats amazing, maybe you can divide it in shorter videos, so you don't have to do all the work at once. If you could start with a tutorial on how to get the data from the watcher to arduino and back i would apreciate it much :) If you have a 3d Printer i could send you some nice throttle and rudder files to bring your fs experience to a next level (even so I used the Arduino as HID :) )@@ProjektAlpha
@@M4xT3 that's exactly what I'm going to do. I'll start with a simple led indicating the state of some control i.e. gear. So... yeah :) thanks for the encouragement!
You're a hero! Subscribed, liked, pressed the bell, for when you continue this series, thank you so much for this! Even if you continue this as a forum post or even just a repository it will help so much!
2 Years is a long time. Your video is great and we all thank you for giving us a headstart on this project. Really look forward to your following videos. Give us a heads up on what's going on with you these days.
Really top content! What would it take for you to continue this series? Donations? Collaboration? I think that there's more people than me that would be happy to chip in.
This Tutorial is an enriching example to leadin´ step by step into the amazing world of realistic cockpit design - many tks! Looking forward to listen the next episode...
I really liked this video. I have not been able to find any of the others. Did you actually make and publish them? If so, can we have the link(s) to them please?
Would love to see the Part 2. Side note, my version of the MSFS SDK does not have the "samples" folder.. not sure how to get it. (one text file in the root called version.txt says 0.24.3.0 if that helps)
I prefer to use Arduino since I already have it. Will you have a follow up video where we can create our own little project controlling switches and LEDs. I am interested in making a little GPS controller with a few buttons and 2 rotary encoders. I just need to see a few simple examples about the process. I can take it from there. Of course the section about the documentation would be also useful
Great video. Looking forward to the next one! Just a quick question, could you use an Arduino as a HID to control all the switches, button etc and then another Arduino to receive events from the sim and output a led for example? Thank so much
Woah this looks like fun. Is this for ANY version of MSFS or just 2020? I'd been hoping someone would post this exact video. So - if I create custom controllers for FSX2004 version of MIcrosoft Flight SImulator will they also work with 2020 when i get it? OK after watching to the end I realise how hard it is to READ what's on my laptop screen so I may have to output to my 40" TV or get better reading glasses :) Are there any books teaching this stuff?
Hi! Sorry for missing your comment :(. I had to take a break to get things up do date at work. In the meantime a great microcontroller has been released by Raspberry Pi (Pico) and I'm considering dropping Arduino and using this new board. However, I must make sure all required libraries are available and working (i.e. LED display drivers, etc.). I'm already testing it and I will soon come back with the rest of the episodes.

This tutorial is honestly amazing the way you managed to explain the depth and scope in a straightforward way is really nice

Such a shame this series ended here, I was looking forward to it. I'm planning on building a virtual Piper cockpit
Hope you get to do another episode, Im diving into the sdk now.
An excellent start to an interesting topic. Please continue. Thanks
Can’t wait for the second episode! It’s awsome!!

Super !!! Just go on with this series 🙂
excelent tutorial, very clear explanation and great video quality. thank you.
wow najlepszy tutorial do MSFS jaki widziałem w życiu :) proszę o kontynuowanie
I would really love to see more of this. I've been wanting to build hardware for this, but the programming is a bit out of my depth.
Excellent Video!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Hey :-) this is a nice tutorial. Did you continue with it? I didn't find a follow-up video on your channel :-)
When can we see the next episode? Please.... Anyway thanks to give easy explain for the understanding.

Great video. Is it possible to develop software and hardware for Xbox? Is it possible to access sim vars just by Arduino serial port communication?
Hope do I ad a keyring using this app?
Have you made part 2?
Great video... too bad you didn't finish the series.
Where is part 2?
Great video...but....where is the part 2?🤔😄
Hi! I'm extremely sorry, but I gave up at some point. I will get back to this project for sure though...
Have you posted this to the MSFS forum?
Excellent vid but is that it!
Świetny tutorial a naprawdę bardzo dużo ich oglądałem ten zamiata, tylko czemu nie kontynuujesz jestem tak ciekaw co dalej 😢
Save yourself the headaches and simply purchase one of Leo Bodners boards.
No it’s not just available for PC it’s available for Xbox too
What happened to this? There was only one video and it was 2 years ago.
When is the next video coming?
