For me big opportunity missed for a beautiful iron staircase straight through or off centre inside the silo. But without a doubt this one of the best renovations I’ve ever seen!
As for your ceiling, after replacing the floor in my father-in law's old home , i used some old rope from the hay fork in the barn to out line the floor where it met the fire place. I first scribe the flooring to match the rocks of the fireplace, then glued the rope to the rocks for a border with some clear lexel. you have to brace it in place till it dries, but you could staple it to the ceiling. looks cool when it's done.
watching up lift up the sander, what you should do is get an old vintage barn block and tackle they used to lift hay up to the upper part of a barn and mount it in the top of the turret to use! When not in use it become part of the decor and is available if the owner needs to move things up and down the silo
You are correct! We are going to be installing a pulley system on the king beam to deliver items to the different floors but just haven’t found the right vintage one to install yet, thanks for the suggestion!
Maybe i haven't seen the correct video but how did you attach the timberframe roof structure to the stone silo. Absolutely beautiful. You should be proud!
@@Worzalla_Brothers It was my pleasure! Please keep posting whenever you can: the more posts you make, the more subscribers you will get I am sure. Yours is a great channel.
Waow, you have made a lot of progress since the last video. It is really taking form beautifully. As you were laying down the flooring with each piece being cut to perfection I was really admiring that because that is not only craftsmanship at it's best, but also with a lot of skill and of course patience. You are doing a fantastic job, and I know that you will execute it extremely well. Out of appreciation to you for taking the time to produce this content to share with us viewers the progress of this great construction, the video has now been given the 42nd like to say thankyou very much. Have a great Weekend and take care, Sir. 🤙🏼🙂🤙🏼❤️
We really enjoy what we do and being able to share it with others! Thank you for appreciating the time and effort we put into our work, it’s much appreciated!
Good job guys..👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 it is so satisfying to watch.. I want to mention one thing though.. you could have made top floor a bit lower to have better view through windows since you have more space in the middle floor..
Thank you, you are correct, windows are a bit low while standing but we were shooting for a good window height while sitting as that is what they will be doing most of the time up there which actually worked out pretty well! Thanks and God Bless!
I would add a large hinging step/landing that can be folded up at the bottom of the little stair, opposite to the ladder, so that people can't fall down easily. Otherwise, love your content!
You are correct, only reason we did not do that on this project is to allow the heat to rise more naturally to the upper levels from the gas fireplace on the bottom floor, Thanks for watching!
We will have a spiral staircase in the front entry which will go between level 1 and level 2, this will be a custom timber beam spiral staircase we are building ourselves so stay tuned!
Haha no we do not argue much, occasionally we do disagree on some stuff but we tend to find a happy ground in-between, but if there is any 'secret', I would say its probably humor and being able to joke around with each other, it seems to always keep us happy! Thanks for watching!
Thank you and yes the lumber was a bit oversized but we used those dimensions for aesthetics mainly, fortunately we have an abundance of ash lumber in our area due to an ash bore that killed most of them and now there are more than we have time to mill, thanks for watching!
Everything looks great. You're not allowed to bury junction boxes, 8:22, 10:46, you need access panels. Are you going to put railing around those holes?
All our ceiling boards are screwed in so they essentially act as access panels, the holes will have coffee tables built around them with an opening in the center to send a beverage tray between the levels, thanks for watching!
@@Worzalla_Brothers OK, I don't mean to pick apart your work, I just want whats best for you. Since last week I've watched all but about three or four of your videos. Keep up the good work.
You need another style of the upstairs to get to the top room. Vertical one with hands uses is not good point.Probably sircle small lift or full iron spiraling stairs from the second level to the third ,it is not good to use hands and legs to get to eating top room because of the hygienic matters.
Worzalla Brothers, you should dive into SACRED GEOMETRY! By weaving a touch of mysticism into your creative hard work, you could deepen the meaning of your already impressive creations, blending your trademark solid, tangible craftsmanship with a subtle layer of patterns and shapes that’d resonate with both the eye and the soul...
Given that the timber was cheap or free, thanks to the Emerald Ash Borer killing ash trees in the area, and that they already have the mill and milled the trees into lumber themselves, and did all the labor themselves, they probably don’t have those numbers for you. Labor alone would be prohibitive for most of us!
We are installing a heat source on the bottom floor and want it to rise to the upper levels as naturally as possible and we thought insulation would hinder that but it would have definitely helped with sound. Thanks for watching!
got a question: from the looks of it top floor 2-3 ft below where bottom part of windows.SO wonder why wont you use steal beams suppport etc and ON very top part of silo build larger room ?...ie 14 ft radius can extended to 16 ft rad...that would increase area by 100 sq ft right away and structure probably can support extra 2 ft all around I know it will look like thing...say BEZOS rockets-blue origin :D and it will change the original look but small spaces are ...not worth really investment unless in monaco, hk, manhattan etc..I know you guys work hard fast unlike many youtubers wont blah blah endlessly for simple things so video will be longer ..so you should get good return on size, practicality etc that way
We are going to build tables around the openings and the center of the tables will be open as well which will allow us to mount a pulley/rope system at the top to send items between the floors, thanks for watching!
There’s no such thing as working a hour and a half for free for an hour and a half of lateness, news flash you just don’t get paid for an hour and a half of work😱
Everything about your videos and work are so classy and top notch...except for the nasty way you treat your brother. What's up with that? Bad enough that you treat him like that, late or not, but why included it in your videos??? Diminishes him to your entire audience and doesn't make you look good either. Wouldn't miss it for sure.
Thank you for the feedback, it’s second habit for us because we grew up in a large family on a farm and we tend to use humor as a way to get us through the long days it’s they way us brothers bond believe it or not, the little brothers throw it back our way too! Thanks for watching!

Budget was a tricky portion of the project but we are doing a large wrap around bench on top floor so when your sitting the windows will be at eye level! Thanks for watching!
This is simply Magical.
Job very well done, guys 👍

That’s actually a really creative idea and sounds like it fits the rustic look well, we may have to try that in the future, thanks!

Use wall wash lighting… it will bring out the beautiful texture of the walls and be a softer light for the lovely floors
We really like that idea and may incorporate in the future! Thanks for the suggestion!
I like the window/wall layout in the new area, looks very clean. Progress is super cool as always.
Thank you! We are hoping the spiral staircase in this area turns out nicely as well, stay tuned!
Dang guys, that is above and beyond, so good!

We are actually looking into that or a gate/door after we install the wrap around bench on the top, thanks for the suggestion!
Maybe isolating in the silo in the floor will make it more comfortable for the ears and more soundproof 😊
So would binning the muzac....
You are correct, only reason we did not do that on this project is to allow the heat to rise more naturally to the upper levels from the gas fireplace on the bottom floor, Thanks for watching!
the windows look nice, it is clean and modern but still feels rustic and warm.
Thank you, we appreciate the feedback!
Vertical boards on the walls definitely flow well.
Maybe install an automated fireman's pole with a stand-on platform...
I need more videos. This is phenomenal
Thanks! we will keep them coming!
Beautiful work as always, can’t wait to see more!
Thanks!
LOVE THE TRIMLESS WINDOWS!
Thank you, we liked how they turned out as well, it’s our first time trying it with cedar boards!
That top floor ceiling is AMAZING!!
Thank you!
Tastefully executed
It looks great. I would consider a bunk level with window so you could sleep whilw looking out the window.
We definitely thought about putting a bed on the top floor but wanted to make it more of a social space, thanks for the suggestion, we appreciate it!
Great work!👏👏👏👏💪
That floor is awesome!
Very nice! Nice carpentry. I like your style.
Thank you!
Love it, good job guys
I would built a house on top of the silo. Would had awesome view plus excellent natrual cooling system.
Provided you have a view and the budget.
Could used the silo for spare rooms maybe hobby shop on the bottom.
Like the look.
That hole saw almost took your for a helicopter ride 🤣
Indirect lighting would be cool
Did you guys install a lightning rod. I'd hate for all your great work go up in flames during an electrical storm.
We do not have one on the silo but we may mount one on the barn next to it, thanks for the suggestion!
beautiful!
IMHO, I would have included spiral staircase

My only question is do you guys not ever argue? If not I want to know the secret.

Looks great!
Maybe add a safety rail.
We agree, there will definitely be some safety features added later on once all the interior work is complete, thanks for watching!
I’m new to this channel. What will this silo be used for? It’s amazing.
That canopy looks great, but was that size lumber an over-kill; could you have used smaller size lumber just the same?
Thank you and yes the lumber was a bit oversized but we used those dimensions for aesthetics mainly, fortunately we have an abundance of ash lumber in our area due to an ash bore that killed most of them and now there are more than we have time to mill, thanks for watching!
I think it would sell better if yiu half like a cool staircase!🎉

How is no one asking how much a renovation like that costs? I’m so curious to know the price tag. Prob more than my home by double.
