Anyone else glad to see so much diversity of drag cars this year? Classic v8, turbo 4 bangers, fwd, awd BIG vehicles like the Jeep, and “slow” cars like the ones that beat a 15 sec time. It’s so cool to bring all the different levels of drag racing together for one great event!
Nitrokiller 99 there’s always a large diversity of cars of Drag Week. I went during 2014 and 2015 and couldn’t believe all the vehicles that they brought out.
Yeah, some in particular are making me smile, just cause I haven't seen em in a while, squareback Pintos, the old Buick wagon, fox-body T-birds, (I always liked driving one of those for the balance. Hated the digital dash but the balance was nice.) Even old Mavericks got memories attached. :)
Wow, this is really something else! I just found out yesterday when at the local RoFo in Md., and all of a sudden here comes all these fantastic cars pulling in with little trailers behind them! Thanks to Dallas for letting me check out his beautiful '71 Super Bee!! Him and his wife were the nicest people! Told me all about this event. Good luck to Dallas at Bud's Creek today!!
looking for the route/hotel for this evening. want to see if i can see some of the cars on the way to atco. the google map on hotrod.com seems to not be working.
Based on the live chat the Cresta and Barra Foxbody were first to run. So not on the RUclips video yet (maybe it'll correct later) According to chat Cresta ran 8.90 and the Mustang ran 8.60
I saw on Woody's Instagram page (woodrigos) they were the first cars to run so maybe before this footage started. Benny's Cresta ran 8.95 and Ben's Foxbody did a 8.64 according to Woody.
David should come to Oz. We had a TV show called Kingswood Country. Holdens had the Kingswood for mid spec cars from 68 through to 80. We got some Chev hearses also which were Kingswood also.
@Jonathan Harger You do realize that Lutz where the first to do a plastic car, years ago. He was the first to show up with a tube chassis pro mod and call it a street car. Larson is the only one who has not gone that route, but he is doing other things currently.
@@autotech1467 yeah that's another one, that one is still new but the s550 EcoBoost had been out since 2015. Not a big deal, just curious on their thoughts.
I dunno, not having driven one, but Jay Leno just had a guy from Edelbrock talking about a supercharger setup for those that gives you more power but means it's still lighter. That's an appealing idea because... I prefer lightness. :) (my thoughts there were maybe that'd make a nice daily setup on which I could just swap out different pulleys for different occasions. :) )
WHERE is the rescue personal?? no one at the start is properly dressed and the truckpersonal at the end has to be the slowest i have ever seen.. the lack of rescue personal on american dragraceing events is scaring me.. race like this should never be allowed to start without a minimum of 8 rescue crew dotted around the racetrack.
They have the required amount of emergency response personnel. If they didnt they wouldn't be allowed to race. The crew are in uniform. If you bother to pay attention the whole length of the course there are fire extinguishers about every 15 feet. Sorry they are not meeting your expectations. Call Cecil county drag way and tell them how you think it should be run. Lemme know how that works out for you.
Calm down. You're the type of person who puts an end to fun events like this. There's plenty of rescue and safety personnel (notice proper spelling of personnel ).
You turned down a Gasser, you should tell that Civic, Supra, Integra: Get the fak outa here! too. They ruin the purity of American Muscle with awful, unbareable sounds & looks like garbage

@@pureinsanity75 Post up the correct one.

@@MalcolmPowder Ahh, the good ol' "RUclips live stream converting to normal video" processing lag.
One ECU later they made good run.
Thanks for posting this. It is my favorite time of the year. Work suffers a bit but well worth it. 🇺🇸 🏁

‘Travelling acceleration show’ is officially my favourite name for drag racing ever.
@01:54:00 still ran 11s even on the roof.

When did they change the parachute rule from 150mph to 135mph or is this a drag week rule?
Yo.. the difference between an 8 second and 6 second run is mind blowing. 1:18:38
i love drag week
Where do i find dates of what’s happening. I live close to Cecil and only find this now🤦🏽♂️
They are only running at Cecil today but ran at VMP in VA yesterday and will end Drag Week there on Friday
I wanna know what happened to blasphemies trunk lid...

Amazing to see all these cars last night coming through Cecil County & Harford County!!
"The jaundiced eye" lol
What is most important thing drag racer's want too see, the time slips and the bill board with speed n et you duck

We also had the broughams. The Caprice and Statsmens using those bodies for the luxury inclined... Or the retired Italian owners :)
btw, the Motortrend live feed isn't working...
Love you
8 sec Cresta?
Fail @ ruclips.net/video/bn_Pimi6BDM/видео.html It's a '68 Barracuda, I know I own one. The '66 has the big glass back.
I would do a drag week on my 2003 Harley or my 1987 Honda 700 Super Magna.
Finnegan and Blasphemy run at 316;00 and No that is the time in the video stream not a biblical reference !
Finnegan runs at 4:41:00
No Lutz or Larson ? I guess they were afraid Tom Bailey would blow there doors off !
