I can’t help but love how mellow Bryan is speaking in normal conversation but is a complete monster in his music. Just amazing
he seems like such a sweetheart and that makes me love KL & their music even more.
@@marissasucks 🤘🤘
Bryan giving a shout out to title fight genuinely made me happy
"I'm like a giant beverage person. Im always drinking something. So I got blueberry red bull, which is my favorite flavor... and then I got -water- hand sanitizer."
How Brian described the a day to remember tour was very similar to my first knocked loose show. Saw them with beartooth, never experienced a hardcore show prior, was terrified during their set the entire time, but fell in love afterwards. Im excited to see them again with movements and kublia khan.
and koyo !!!
Bryan seems like he has such a god complex in such a humble and respectful way. Keeps it to himself but definitely has that feel to him
Were there any parts of this interview specifically that made you think that?
Whenever I hear any band that was featured on Tony Hawk Pro Skater, I am immediately transported back to 14 year old me in 1999. Can totally relate to video games, skate boarding and surfing videos leading me down a path to finding the music I love today.
Appreciate the shoutout! Miss you both and hope to get back to shows and traveling ASAP
When I first heard Knocked Loose I wasn't a fan. Then I saw them live with Drain in October. Great band, but still wasn't a huge fan. THEN I saw this podcast, realized how incredibly chill this dude is and it completely changed my perspective and I had to go back and relisten. The one thing that I did not like is becoming the one thing I do like. At first listen his vocals were like nails on a chalkboard for me... Then it clicked. He is NOT trying to sound like ANYONE, What comes out of his mouth is raw Bryan Garris. Mad respect. Dude is as real as it gets.
Respect for doing what every person who doesn't like K\L, didn't do.
It grew on me too
@@JLVCII Thanks. I think what got me is how chill he is but goes absolute effing bonkers once that mic is in his hand... that and the fact he sounds like NOBODY. Then I see the drummer makes fucking candles??? Im all in.
@@smesple hahaha right, he's able to hold that higher note so well and after a while you see how hard it goes with their sound it's so raw. The drummer has been an absolute machine since a kid I swear, there are videos of them from almost 9 years ago
@@JLVCII I'm old AF ( 46 ) and I have been on what I think is a hardcore bender the last few months. Stumbled onto Drain, then found Turnstile ( except I'm not a huge fan of Glow On ) Then found K/L. I def like some songs more than others ... and still I wonder south is probably my fav so far... I think its the timing of guitar, drums and vocals.. shit just slams. Im also not a fan of bands that try to look or act tough... they just be themselves. Probably why I like Sammy and Drain as well. Anything I should check checkout let me know...
@@smespleoff the top of my head,, inclination is definitely a band you should checkout, the vocalist is such a humble guy,
Drain - Hyper vigilance
Knocked loose - The Gospel
Knocked loose - deadringer
Knocked loose - Oblivions peak
Fantastic interview!! Loved getting to hear the backstory on Bryan’s life, makes me an even bigger Knocked Loose fan. Big fan of the podcast and will definitely be tuning in for more!
I tore my acl in half during knocked loose set in Columbus Ohio. Shout out k//l shout out 614
Mad considering what ge said abt his next goal and now theyre touring w Gojira.
Last time I saw Knocked Loose was in Brisbane Australia around 3 years ago and it was probably the most violent show that I've ever been to. It was amazing to watch!
Sending some love from the UK bro. Randomly searched for Bryan to see if there was any lengthy interviews or podcast appearances and gotta say this was awesome.
Perfectly hosted with good questions and it's a breath of fresh air to see the host let the guest flow and not interrupt to take over.
Have you heard of a slam/deathcore band "vulvodynia"?
Would love to see the vocalist Duncan Bentley appear on a show.
He would be stoked as he loves music and has a passion for talking about it.
Thanks for the kind words Tucker. Hope you're diving into other episodes.
What a great interview!! Knocked Loose is my favorite band and you knocked this one out the park!
This one didn't disappoint. Great interview and awesome insight into the legend himself!
Ahh another Tucker 💪💪
Great interview! Super interesting to hear Bryan's insights on music, the creative process, and life in general. And I can confirm that Knocked Loose at Webster Hall in Nov. 2019 was definitely one of the best shows I've ever been to; it was insanely sick!
These interviews get me through my morning at work 🤙🏻 thanks man great interview
I’d die if I saw Sunami play Contempt of Cop at a halftime show 🔥 I saw Knocked Loose for the first time at Knotfest Iowa, and that was one of the best moments of my life. Real shit
Great interview bro. Damn. You got a new subscriber!
Yooooo this energy
I just listened to the episode with Josef from Sunami and it’s so interesting to hear how much their approach differs from Knocked Loose.
love this
Knocked Bluese!
first time podcast listener ~ cant fucking wait to see knocked loose this year
would love to see knocked loose tour with architects especially because the last band Tom mentioned that he loved before he died was KL
LET'S GO
I’ll never forget when I saw them with expire and counterparts back in 2014 2015 I don’t remember what year
2016
@Aidrik Grube it was one of the best shows I’ve been to
@Aidrik Grube I didn’t know their music the first time I saw them either but it was an eye opening experience ahah
Yoo R.I.P Mitch Lucker from Suicide Silence
If you get him on again can you ask him if he will ever do anything again with street rat or left behind. Anyways Great show man so fun to listen to😌🤙
A different shade of blueberry
I think a knocked loose should tour with city morgue. That shit would be nuts

@@Artificialnightmare1 it had been 8 months since the video was posted, now 8 months since I commented and 8 days since you replied. I think I’m going to find some horse races and put my house on #8
🔥🔥🔥🔥
does the northeast include ny/nj
He’s right blueberry Red Bull isgood.
called bryan straight edge, he’s not straight edge he’d just rather be sober
I got the 666th like 👊🏽🔥
kublai khan has ABSOLUTELY nothing on knocked loose
I wanna know why he’s straight edge. Religion, bad experiences, personal reason, just never interested him? Internet how heavier musicians typically are straight edge
It generally tends to be from watching loved ones walk that path and being hurt by them, on the bright side it makes for a good musician when that happens.
Bryan isnt straight Edge i think, on Pop culture Theres a Line going I'm Not straight Edge I'd Just rather stay sober. But I wouldnt actually know so feel free to ignore
Bryan is straight edge and we talk about that lyric specifically in the episode.
@@ScopedExposurePodcast shoulda finished watching
In the UK hipsters ate the scene..now there walking around dressed like us but listening to shite music. Krazy and sad.
I thought straight edge was against all form of drugs and alcohol? Dude is drinking caffeine….
It varies. Some people take it to mean all drugs, including stuff like caffeine, some people treat it as just illegal/recreational drugs.
There are portions of the straight edge community who include vegetarianism or veganism and consider those who don't as not fully edge.
