      @@kdbhoney Hi, Karen, She die cut a very thin frame in the center that left white space around the center design. You may have to watch the video again as I don't think I explained this well. :-)

    Nicole - I wanted to let you know what an inspiration you are. I’ve had this kit and haven’t been able to do a thing with it. After finding your video, I pulled out my alcohol inks (which I’ve hardly used) and went to work! I was able to create all three cards (had to change up just a few things due to lack of supplies.), Thanks for taking me out of my comfort zone and giving me the confidence to create! Love your videos!!

    • @yarabaird5645
      @yarabaird5645 4 года назад

      You mean instead of cleaning the stamps, stamp on paper and then restamping with the lift ink?

    • @andrealavigne7824
      @andrealavigne7824 4 года назад

      @@yarabaird5645 You use the lift ink on the alcohol ink background, like Nichol demonstrated. Then, without cleaning your stamps, stamp on a piece of white cardstock. You will get the colorful impression that you lifted off the AI background. I am not sure how clean an impression you'd get, as it's been a while since I saw this technique. Jennifer McGuire demonstrated it on her YT channel. Of course, that may depend as much on the stamp as anything. Just be sure to clean any residual ink off of your stamps before inking with the lift ink again, or it can damage that pad by "gunking" it up with alcohol ink. Hope this helps! :)

    What surface is safe to use for crafting with alcohol inks?

    • @caseyslove
      @caseyslove 4 года назад +1

      I usually use my Tim Holtz craft mat when playing with alcohol inks. I keep a damp cloth or baby wipes near by to remove ink from my surface in between projects.

    • @andrealavigne7824
      @andrealavigne7824 4 года назад

      You can also use freezer paper, if you don't have a craft mat or don't want to stain it. :)

    Just curious, if this is a “how-to” or “how I did it” video, why did you crop out the actual methods of what you did? I found it frustrating. The cards are lovely, but why hide the process that created them?
