I love that all mcdonalds eggs in the UK have to be free range and that's pretty common now in all restaurants. Also we now have a vegan big mac for veganuary and the salt craving as my sister gets is the lack of zinc from being vegetarian
Hello to Aunt Linda, you didn’t disappoint us as she is an absolutely delightful lady. I hope she makes regular guest appearances from now on.She did put a smile on my face when you two said you didn’t like certain McDonald’s foods and she kept saying Mmmmmm I like those 🤣🤗
A big problem with food in the US is the disconnect, between knowning what is in what they are eating to what they are eating. It comes down to conditioning by food companies. There is a English chief called Jamie Oliver, who started a campain in the UK to try and get kids to eat better food. So he did a TV series where he went in to a school and cook good food. One of the things he did was replace chicken nuggets with real chicken, but the kids would not eat it, wanting the nuggets back. So he got a group of them and showed them how the nuggets were made, in front of them. You got all them noices kids make when they do't like what they see. at teh end he offered them real chicken or nuggets, they choose the chicken. Well a few years later he was do the same thing in a town in the US, and had the same problem with the kids. So he did the same thing and the kids re-acted the same all the way though, until they were cooked, and they went straight for the nuggets. Why? because it was nuggets, there was a total disconnet between the process and the end result in there minds.
I can remember the news article about fat British mums pushing big macs through school fences, because according to them there kids were not getting what they needed. its one of the only times i have been embarrassed to be British, shame on them mums. I personally know Jamie Oliver I was his gardener at one of his restaurants in Newquay Cornwall, he always made sure there was a good Sandwich and and a good healthy drink for me when i did the gardening. totally free off charge a great chef and a good friend I used to enjoy his BBQ's once a year for his staff and guys that did jobs for him....
I find these UK v US videos interesting as the two cultures are very similar - but at the same time being very different! It would also be good to see a US v Australia comparison. On the whole there is usually no Best or Worst. Vive Le Difference!
Yes. There is. You can easily judge cultures. The way they treat women for example. Or children. Or animals. Or minorities. It's very easy to tell that some cultures, though not perfect, are better than others.
The UK government in the last few years introduced a sugar tax. This forced all companies operating here to cut sugar or increase their prices. A lot of sodas are now sugar free. This may explain the difference in size and calorie count. Even chocolate bars and bottled Coca cola have got considerably smaller to avoid the higher tax overheads. Jason x
Antifreeze isn't made of propylene glycol, it's actually made of ethylene glycol - totally different substances. Propylene glycol (PG) is used in some vape liquids, sometimes mixed with a vegetable glycol (VG) & some theatrical smoke machines.
Biscuit comes from a Latin pottery term meaning "Twice Fired". The French adopted the term in baking. Biscuits are small, flat, sweet, twice baked, unleavened caked. Because they have been baked twice most or all the moisture has been evaporated leaving the results crisp and sometimes crumbly. Biscuits with no sugar or a touch of sugar and savoury (savory) ingredients are called Crackers. American "Biscuits" are not baked twice so are simply NOT biscuits.
Morning everyone especially auntie Linda... A very good McDonald's show... More of auntie Linda please... Lots of Love from N.E. England... 💕 🇺🇸 💕 🇬🇧 💕
Hi girls and aunt Linda Debbie from Wales here. Here in the UK we can get savoury cheese scones, especially nice if you make them yourself and put your cheese if choice in them, the cheese is mixed into the dough. We can also get fruit scones with, currents or raisins in the mix or we can get plain scones. Just like you I have not had a McDonalds for years as I enjoy fresh food, and prefer to make my own, as it is just so easy to make burgers from fresh and quick too.
The reason he showed the 20 and 40 McNuggets is because they are listed on the menu as separate items. The 20 is cheaper than 2 x 10 McNuggets, and the 40 is similarly discounted.
Another great video! I love watching you learning about our culture. Would you consider letting us learn more about your lives, maybe in vlog form? Such as vlogging at your favourite places to eat? 💕
I can't see the need for all those ingredients in the American fries. Why is preservative necessary? They're manufactured, frozen, delivered to the store and thrown into the deep fryer!
I always look forward to your vids, I'm not very current I'm always dipping into various sites... The TT one was bonkers, I was a bit late with my congrats on your 18 but congrats on your 19th. Your fun to watch keep on truckin
Hi Natasha and Debbie I love your channel. From an old guy in North Yorkshire, UK If You ever get over here there will always be a we!come for you in one of the most spectacular areas in this country
That was good I had not seen that comparison on the MacDonald's food before. I have however seen a film called "Remo Unarmed and Dangers" (American title was "Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins") and the teacher/Sensei said it's called fast food because "It speeds you into the grave".

Interesting to see a video on what you do eat in the US (rather than what we think you eat). They do curry sauce at fish and chip shops to put on chips (fries), so McDonald's have 'appropriated' that idea. Thanks for uploading ladies. Good to meet Aunt Linda. 😎😁😎
Good morning from a beautiful sunny morning in Burntwood Staffordshire. Hi to Natasha Debbie and the lovely Aunty Linda. Aunty Linda so reminds me of my two late Aunts. Look forward in following your story. Lovely video as always. I am not a lover of McDonald’s but am glad to say they have in the UK lots of healthier options.
as a baby I was taken to the very first UK McDonalds on opening day in 1974 so like me they are celebrating 50 years this year. growing up they did used to do root beer, but they stopped in 1993. ironically on the subject of American biscuits, a Popeyes chicken just opened across the road from that 1st Mcdonalds and does sell them. but savoury or not I got mine with a honey dip.
I believe you are imposing the US McDonalds onto the UK McDonalds. All the beef used in the beef burgers are supplied by UK & Irish farmers. Therefore the animal husbandry is of a higher standard. No artificial growth hormones injected into the cows. You also failed to spot the eggs used were free range eggs meaning that the eggs came from non-battery chickens. They would have lived outdoors to forage for food. The eggs are much healthier to eat. They are also not chlorine washed.
You're all so lovely. I havent had a McDonald's in a looong time, but I've got fond memories of the cheeseburgers (I loved the relish!) And milkshakes. But wow I didn't know they had that many calories!! Consider me edumacated lol. Lovely to meet Aunt Linda, and will happily check out her channel when it's launched. All the best from not so sunny Worcestershire! (Now pronounce it 😆😆) 🙏🙏👍👍👋👋
Wonderful to at last "meet" Aunt Linda. I am sure that she coudl educate many of us on both sides of the pond with her life experiences. As for Mcd's , well when I was a sales person out on the road here in UK it was handy to get to know where each branch was located in order to get a tea or for a bathroom (toilet) stop, beyond that to eat - no thanks. Many road side food trucks offered better value fresh food and my favourite was sausage and tomato cob ( for cob read roll, bread cake, barm etc depending on the area in UK you are from lol). Aunty Linda you have now got to be in more vids. Stay safe all three of you.
as a mcdonalds uk employee, those fries were probably full or mostly full, but as they cool down they get softer and they fall down and therefore dont look full
Awh, Aunt Linda is lovely. Such a sweet soul! I wish her the best of luck with her channel! Seems like our palettes are very different. We came out of war rationing, and are slowly catching up to spicy, sugary foods, so I guess it won't be long before our cheap/fast food is full of more rubbish too!
I think as a general term bad ingredients are al in small amounts perhaps the question is how often are those bad ingredients consumed and larger amounts in the same product does not help.
Thing is, this video isn't a great representation - I mean we do have a breakfast menu which is various muffins (not sweet they're english muffins) with various fillings. We have wraps with the same fillings as the muffins, we have pancakes... And for the main menu there's also a rotating menu that changes every few weeks. They had cheese melt dippers with tangy sauce for example. And you can get various salads in the UK. You can get donuts too and in summer there's special summer drinks.
Quarter delux is available in the UK, you just have to ask for it, you can also get the cheeseburgers (single, double and triple) done like it too at some McDonald's.
I've seen others react to this video, but none of them have Aunt Linda! I rarely eat at Maccy Ds, usually I feel disappointed when I do. I have tried them in the US, the biggest thing was the portion sizes. I'm glad ours has less bad stuff!
YAYYY!!!! I guessed last night on the Facebook live that Aunt Linda was going to set up her own RUclips channel 😁😁 I love listening to older peoples’ stories xx
We get superior doughnut sticks in the UK. We get them from Greggs and call them Yum Yums. Also, I've tried biscuits when I visited the US and discovered that they are cheese scones, nothing more nothing less.
Corn syrup seems to in every foodstuff in the US, a lot of food does taste a bit 'chemical' to us in the US - where the stereotype is that UK food has no flavour I think that's probably in part because in the US stuff is drenched in every sauce possible until it's not clear what it's meant to taste of any more. And stuff that wouldn't really be sweet over here, like bred, is quite sugary in the US
It’s strange that in the US they say uk food is bad, and in the UK we say US food is bad, I guess it’s what you are used to. Saying that we went to the US a few years ago and everything did taste like plastic, we said we wouldn’t go back until the food standards got better.
Hi Aunt Linda, oh and Debbie n Natasha! Another fun video, I never stop being amazed by portion sizes when I've visited the US. Many years ago a gang of us went up to Scotland to do some mountain walking. We stopped at a restaurant for breakfast and our orders arrived with all the usual suspects and a scene. We all looking at each other in supprise when the waitress came back to explain they were "American biscuits" as the had many US tourists visit.
I thought I had switched onto a Charlie’s Angels episode with you three here. Great to see you all smiling and having fun. Take care of yourselves you are precious to us all
Hello Auntie Linda from the uk. I really dislike McDonalds as a brand . You cannot go anywhere without the wrappers and boxes littering the roads and pavements . I've never eaten one . People think I'm weird . 🇬🇧
I've eaten Maccy D's, KFC, Domino Pizza, Pizza Hut pizza. I don't know what all the fuss is about, they're OK but nothing to go wild over, I'd rather have a Bird's Eye beefburger or an Asda pizza.
Here’s the recipe for the secret sauce for Aunt Linda, minus all the chemicals: * 1/2 cup mayo * 2 Tablespoons French Dressing * 1 heaping Tablespoon sweet relish * 3 teaspoons dill pickle juice * 1 teaspoon sugar * 1 teaspoon dried minced onion * 1 teaspoon ketchup * dash of salt To make Sauce: combine all of the ingredients and cover and refrigerate for 24-hours. Hope she enjoys
@@ruthfoley2580 i'm near denton, a friend of mine lives in bury. i went up there last year, once to visit him, and once went to the steam train museum. it was great. pretty nice up there.
US "sodas" are terrible, generally. Way back when Nixon was running things, he did some sort of "deal" with the farmers over "high fructose corn syrup". The thing is, HFCS isn't as sweet as sucrose (normal sugar) although, gram for gram, it has nearly the same calorific value - add to that "United Statesian's" extra sweet tooth, and you have a pretty unhealthy combination.
Cairo is a place of amazing history with, of course, all the museums and iconic pyramids and Great Sphinx, dating to the 26th century BC - and right in the middle is a McDonald's!!! Talk about out of place. Help - there is no escape!!!
How cool was it to have Aunt Linda join us?! We loved having her here! We hope you enjoyed this episode. Please Like the video if you did.
Incredibly cool that's how cool.

All facts apart from the coca cola part because they are paying the sugar tax and have the exact same amount of sugar as they always have
Same size bottles also so.. I'm confused by that part lol

Loving the knits Ladies.Keepin' it cosy.Stay well.
In New Zealand, grass fed Angus beef.... chocolate dipped icecream in a cone. Kiwi burger which has an egg and beetroot.(my favourite)
Cairo is a place of amazing history with, of course, all the museums and iconic pyramids and Great Sphinx, dating to the 26th century BC - and right in the middle is a McDonald's!!! Talk about out of place. Help - there is no escape!!!
