Jimmy’s Hall tells the true story of Leitrim farmer Jimmy Gralton, the only Irishman deported from his own country. His crime was to build a dance hall where he encouraged the local community to learn, to argue and to dream, but above all to dance and have fun.

Saw it in Carrick-on-Shannon and it was fabulous!
I live in the states so I wasn't able to come see it, but wow I really wish I could've! I heard they had the actors on stage, dancing with the music while the audience filed in, along with no intermission, which really seemed to draw the audience in more to the story - and in that, it's much easier to forget that it's a rehearsed stage production. You really feel as if you're watching the real story unfold right in front of you; very authentic. I'm an actor myself and this show is definitely going on my list of shows I'd absolutely love to perform someday. What a gem. Love and cheers from the US!

When are you bringing it to LA! We saw it at the Abbey Theatre a few weeks ago on our last night in Ireland. What a fantastic amalgam of live theatre performances in acting, dance and song. Such a powerful story. All the players were so talented, so energized, so passionate in their roles. Wonderful! It should come to LA, New York, the world awaits!
