I honestly think it's that boss battle at the end of the movie he was bad ass. you got the two dudes who got the power up real quick and that guy kind of bodies both of them and then Donnie comes in his beats dude's ass. Shit was entertaining as hell I think that's what makes us come back.

This is a great film from the cinematography style to the acting style, from the clothing style and to the fight scene coriography style.
It's unfortunate that this film didn't get the distribution and the praise/recognition that it deserves!

@@sam77306 Absolutely. I bought it from a DVD rental store during the introduction of BLU--RAY. Most rentals were closing. They even still sold VHS for $1and $2. I bought loads of movies and burned them to CD.
Lot of Martial-Art movies, Manga, and B-movies. DRAGON TIGER GATE was a gem. It was filled with excellent Martial-Art talent. All the rental places are long gone. I hear rumor DVDs will be discontinued. Even BLU-RAY is threatened by streaming or whatever it's called.
A few good "SLAPS" is always humbling and brings a person back to reality😂😅! I Love it!

Very impressive.Great movie
First time watching this all the way through. I loved the comics this movie was based on, but it has only a slight resemblance. Still, though, I really enjoyed this movie. The cinematography is quite well done, and the musical score, especially during the somber parts, was excellent 👏
One issue with the movie was they didn't keep to the source material (Oriental Heroes). Dragon was never the main character but they wanted Donnie to be the main character, but he couldn't play the younger brother since hes so much older than Nicholas Tse. so they had to create a some new plots to make Dragon the main character and push the true main character to the back.
Finally a hippie kunfu original I believe are the best in my book as Bruce Lee 🎥 movie 🍿 ok ✅

This was based on a very popular Manhua (Think of it as Chinese Manga) series from Hong Kong called "龍虎門" (literally translate to Dragon Tiger Gate) or "Oriental Heroes" in English. The drawing style is very distinctive. Something between Japanese Manga and American Comic. Pretty unique and definitely worth checking out!

My all time favorite movie based on a comic book anime series. SNK( Neo Geo arcade) and MARVEL should definitely be involved in this. Plus imagine this was in a street fighting video game with element graphics from Guilty Gear ,Killer Instinct 3.

Yeah, this movie is almost 20yrs old but it's a favorite of mine. I have 3 copies lol. When It 1st came out everyone was selling bootleg copies. I have an English copy but don't watch it, sounds weird. I've been trying to find animations,comics anything TV shows since I saw it

Not sure if this has been stated yet, but I saw this movie like a decade ago on Netflix.
The names, the hairstyles, and yes even the scares( Gold Dragon was always my favorite character - Turbo in the movie) was straight from one of my favorite comics growing up, Oriental Heroes.
Sure nuff, this movie was inspired by the same JadeMan comics I grow up loving.
Only got to issues #0 - 64 ( they were hard to find in the US). Still have them, missing covers and all...
Imho, the movie just doesn't do the comics justice. Dragon Wong literally lived from issue 0 to 1... They did have cameos in the movies though.
