Editor's Note: My edits were all made to keep the video on one, central topic by editing together relevant commentary from many parts of Hasan's streams to create a storyline that is still followable by the viewer. I also edited in commentary of my own in places, in addition to relevant external information that improves the viewing experience. A lot of edits were made for comedy purposes, or to enhance the comedic timing of certain beats, but never to misrepresent Hasan's point of view.

I did not had this notion that people forgot about this. I thought if you'd be interested in any country, you'd learn a bit about its broader history. And a Japan has a very violent history. Even if you like samurai or ninjas or stuff like that, in actual real terms, they were absolutely awful to regular people.

Something which is very off-base is how so many anglos compare the bombings of Hiroshima & Nagasaki to the Bombing of Dresden. Both were bombings, both were unnecessary, but the sorta "great atrocity" for Germany wasn't Dresden by any stretch of the imagination, it was the ethnic cleansing of millions of non-slavs, even including some slavs like the ethnic category of Masurians who were deemed not Polish enough, from east of the current German border between 1945-54 thereabouts. Yet for some reason Dresden is hyped up across the political spectrum & the other event treated as a taboo topic.

I do not understand why that video finishes by saying "at the far left is anarchy, instability and violence" when the entire history he just went over was leftists being forcibly carried out of parliament at the behest of war criminals so that votes could be done without them, the peaceful protesters were brutalized by right wing counter protesters followed by the police, then the socialist candidate was assassinated. He then talks about how the extreme right offered peace and stability. His position at the end of the video is completely at odds with everything he just went over.
Yes I know Hasan says this is not in the context of right vs left that chatters are used to, however that doesn't change the fact this guy just presented forcibly suppressing, beating, then murdering your opposition as a path towards stability. It's also fundamentally wrong, because it only works thanks to the threat of violence on the part of the state, and I have a very hard time calling that "stable".

The way leftists talk about Japan is kinda f'd sometimes
Like the war crime that was done BY "Japan" was NOT done by its ppl (civilians)
The war crime that was done TO Japan was on its ppl (civilians)
Anime is also made by the Japanese ppl (civilians)
The reason to empathize with Japan for anime (art) and the war crime done to them IS the right response
That empathy CANNOT be "netted off" with the war crime done BY Japan, bcos the war crime was NOT done by the ppl
It's to me racist bcos leftists can see how weird is it how guilty Germans are made to feel about the atrocities done back then
But leftists will act like there's smth inherent about the Japanese ppl that they want to hide their power levels or smth
Or like the Japanese ppl have smth to apologize for and feel guilty about
And not instead it's government and ppl in power back then and now
If anything Germans voted in the ppl who did the stuff
On some level it WAS representative of the common person
But I still think it IS weird to be made to feel guilty
And inb4 you want to counter with "uh white guilt much?" Hasan has said MANY times how weird it is how guilty Germans are made to feel
But yea, in that aspect the common Japanese person has INFINITELY LESS reason to be guilty or apologetic than the common German person

@@keceti9606 the fetishization or orientalism surrounding anime in western circles is a separate matter. Anime isn't some 5head move by the governing class to manipulate the view of Japan and it's war crimes in the eyes of westerners
That's not only a very anglo-centric view, but also like qAnon levels of conspiracy crafting
