  • An acrimonious exchange has marked the first high level meeting between the new US administration and Chinese officials. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken accused China of threatening global stability while China's top diplomat Yang Jiechi accused the US of inciting countries to attack China. The testy exchange came as Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Yang Jiechi in Alaska.
DW spoke with Chinese government advisor and President of the think-tank Center for China and Globalization Wang Huiyao to find out how China sees the accusations leveled against it.

@p qwe roflamo, let's face it, the US offered China a G2 "deal" around 2008 to further American "leadership". China promptly refused like any normal person would, and this sent the US flying and clawing for mora high ground ever since. 13 years later, we arrived at Pompeo crafting tortured indignations and Blinken playing to the cameras. Do you think the world suffers from the same amnesia as you do.

Also, in the past hundred years, how many times has the US invaded it's neighbors Mexico or Canada. Naval wise you could say maybe Cuba but that is in a gray area.
CCP has invaded/fought all of their neighbors in the past 100 years and still harbors intent and invading one.
The US hasn't been stoking nationalism to invade any of it's neighbors currently.
That wasn't for the US, it was to stoke nationalism at home. "Wolf
Warrior" diplomacy actively damages diplomacy and trades it in for
nationalism. The only reason to use it is to gain more support at home.
The fact that CCP is doing this means they are worried about losing control at home.

I love China's confidence. They stand their ground and careless what the US says. The rest of the world world be better off with China in my take because they are there to benefit economically but protect their sovereignty from external powers. China learnt from its history and bowing to the western superpowers is something it must never do. The west almost destroyed China. China must never become weak again. They must gain power to stand their ground against all threats. China must rise as it always had been a world leader for thousands of years.

Blinken could accuse China , with a straight face ,of not following the rules- based order when the US ignored it when the need arises. e.g,US invaded Iraq against the resolution of the UN,ignored resolutions of the UN on Israel, ignored orders of the international court not to aid the rebels in Nicaragua and to lift sanctions on Iran and reneged on the nuclear deal with Iran.China just ignored his nonsense and stood up to the bully.

Blinken's all accusations against China's internal fair of Hongkong, Tainwan, Xinjiang are either based on "i am hearing that..." or "not follow rules of mine" model, while painting its own outrageous factual issues as "imperfectness". We see a lot "perfectness" of US political skills.
Some people said that "it is never be a good bet to bet against America" and Blinkin quote it in this meeting. This seems Blinken forgot where and who this meeting goes with and he seems not yet recover from his other diplomatic activity. China never bet at all, not in favour to nor against to any one, as perhaps others do.
