I was absolutely mesmerised by this song when I first saw it performed on the BBC Glastonbury footage. It wasn't just the Indian/Babymetal does Bollywood aspect of it but the sheer loveliness of the choreography. I commented then on the feminine elegance of the dance. It was as if, all of a sudden, Babymetal had grown up in front of my eyes. These were not little girls anymore but beautiful self confident women and the dance reflected their mature femininity with just a cheeky nod to their kawaii childhood behind them. I still expect them to announce a big Asian tour sometime in 2020 with all the new Asian influences in their new work. See you at the Eventim Apollo in February! :)

I love how each new music video has it's own "effect theme" - firey hot summer, distorted elevator, and the colorful kaleidoscope eye of the fox god. SSS is probably my new favorite dance routine because it's perhaps the bravest they've done since Karate. So I think I prefer the Glastonbury live video more because it showcased more of the dancing but this is certainly a fun trip, hey?

I got mine a few years back when they were inexpensive,($10-15 each) I saw them for sale on Amazon when I was pre ordering the Metal Galaxy album. They now go for at least $40-80 dollars each,and are not available from the original Pop manufacturer. You can only get them on E Bay or Amazon now,and I saw some at $100 each,and one complete set for $250. I know that Su and Moa are considered "core"members,but I got mine(All three) when Yui was still in the group.That's crazy money. You know your going places when your Pop is going for outrageous money. Most other rock Pop figures are still only going for $10-20 bucks. Sorry, Lemme and Metallica,lol PS; Momoka did a really great job in Yui's spot in Boston.She's a Pro and was very good!

Callie you will be beside yourself when you witness Pa Pa Ya live. Shanti is my favorite song off Metal Galaxy so far, and furthermore possibly my favorite BABYMETAL song ever. However, the energy and sheer awesome force that is Pa Pa Ya live will consume you. It was the showstopper in NYC. Enjoy!!!
Shanti is on the list of songs on the live DVD included with The One edition (it's a Legend M digest), so we will definitely have a pro live version soon. I am also pretty sure the WOWOW broadcast of Yokohama (this concert) will include Shanti Shanti Shanti.
Understanding that they were just starting their tour and may not have have the time to make a more official MV, It was still a fun video even though the choreography wasn't full shown over the kaleidoscope effects. That was a little odd to me but like you said hearing Moa's vocals and all the other little things compared to the Glastonbury video was great. The last couple week's wait..ugh 😄

I’ve just seen them a couple of weeks ago and Moa seen me😭😭😭btw I have been waiting for this song to come out for about 2 months and it is my favorite song on the album so far
I honestly didn't think they would survive the two departures so far, small groups rarely survive losing one member, but they also lost a very prevalent member in the support units when Mikio fell from that platform. That double blow left very little chance of recovery. I'm pleasantly surprised their composer pulled songs like this, it will be what saves them from the same fate as predecessors in the industry like Kalafina.
There's quite a bit missing from the Glastonbury version due to technical difficulties the sound engineers were having including Moa's mic cutting out randomly.

I've only ever liked one "India" type of song: The Beatles-Love You To. Then...April of this year, I began my journey down The Fox Hole. And WHA-BAM! Nice reaction. Obviously you have to mute the video to avoid copyright but a count in would be useful. Trying to sync without is really difficult. It makes me smile when people despair of BM not doing more theatrical videos for their songs but then when others react to the older ones they are almost universally told that they should watch live videos to hear the songs as they should be heard. Obviously the answer would be for Amuse to release two video versions of each song but I can't see them stretching to that somehow!
I would be pleased as can be if they made some proper MVs (with them actually in it, not just the 7 actors) when they have some more time to do that, and had two official versions for each (1 theatrical, 1 live). :)

I just saw BabyMetal this past Tuesday in Dallas, Texas and hearing this song live was incredible!! I just about cried. I can't not dance along when I hear this song. In my opinion, I like SSS more than Pa Pa Ya though.
I think Pa Pa Ya, Elevator Girl and Shanti, videos are all studio audio over live video and effects. My view this was done because the final mix for Metal Galaxy was only decided upon this year when BabyMetal were already touring so it has not been possible to make music videos. Another example how live versions are better than the studio version. The Glastonbury version even with the BBC sound issues is better for me. The dance moves are so good as you point out Callie. You are so fortunate to have seen BabyMetal and I think you are seeing them again next year several times? Still sad not to see Yui in the background.
I love the vid but have two gripes, for one they cut away from the choreo completely during the instrumental breakdown and go too crazy with the kaleidoscope effects. This song has great choreography and that part is especially cool. My other gripe is how they kind of wimped-out the guitars especially during that particular part. If you listen to Glastonbury right after this you will really realize it.

It's possible that she's just too busy in Japan already. :D
She is extremely busy actually, if I remember correctly doing 2 or even 3 new choreographies a week, she is also involved in commercials for example.
When she has any spare time, she creates choreography for her own troupe, elevenplay.

I love the vid but have two gripes, for one they cut away from the choreo completely during the instrumental breakdown and go too crazy with the kaleidoscope effects. This song has great choreography and that part is especially cool. My other gripe is how they kind of wimped-out the guitars especially during that particular part. If you listen to Glastonbury right after this you will really realize it.
