- Hey everyone! I originally planned to release this at the end of the month as usual, but when they dropped it in episode 5 of Rings of Power last night, I just had to click the 'post' button early! I thought this song was so lovely and putting it together was an absolute joy. The soundtrack feels so reminiscent of Middle Earth while bringing so much new material with it as well. I have so many theories as the show goes on! (Come debate with me in the Discord server!)

Hi Rachel, this is a beautiful version of the song! We are so pleased everyone is liking the song in the show! Just wanted to pop in and say that This Wandering Day song credits should be: lyrics by JD Payne and music by Janet Roddick, David Donaldson, Steve Roche and David Long. The arrangement in LOTR - TROP was by Bear McCreary and his soundtrack is incredible. Megan Richards sings it beautifully as the Harfoot character Poppy and that is me (Janet) singing over the end credits. David, Steve, David and I also wrote Misty Mountains in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (not Howard Shore), and some of the songs and cultural music in the LOTR trilogy by Peter Jackson.
