Unfortunately, this is the sound as recorded from the television tapes. Due to being such an early performance, the high harmony on the beginning of the chorus actually wasn’t there! Buck and Don instead switched between lead and a lower harmony (as you can hear) during the earliest performances of these songs. Don’s best-known harmony on this song didn’t come about until later!
