It's a beauty. I have a correction on the engine possibilities. For 1970, the only choices were a 400 or a 455. The other engines had been dropped from the line.
With that nice comfy rear seat I’d take a guess it’s a surviving civvy Catalina done up to look like a police car. I wonder how many of these got wrecked in the movies in car chases?
Hey, Mick! It's often hard to tell...I know many civilian cars are converted...but many are the real thing. I have the feeling that this is the real thing. It was much more typical for Chevy, Ford and Plymouth cars to be chosen for the police fleet...certain features had to be included like a speedometer that was certified accurate. As for the Chargers in the Dukes of Hazzard, probably over 300 were destroyed! Thanks! :) Jack
Awesome paint! The car looks like it's brand new! 😀
Hey, guys! It's definitely a first class paint job on a very interesting car! Thanks! :) Jack
I like these big Pontiacs.
Hope you have a Merry Christmas Jack 🎅 🎄
Hey, Gary! Pontiac had it all....great style and great design! I hope you have a Merry Christmas too! Thanks! :) Jack
cool❤❤❤
Hey, Michael! As neat as this car is, I'd hate to see it in my rear view mirror with its lights on! :D Thanks! :D Jack
THIS IS A NEAT CAR ✨✨✨
Hey, Dee! Just what you expect from Pontiac! Foremost in styling and powertrains! Thanks! :) Jack

Thanks for the correction! You can see that the emphasis was on displacement at this point! :) Jack
