When can we Get More Extended Fighting short films from you?
Jinzhou is the capital of the region which had been protected by Jue, the dragon, it's sentinel.
Jue acts as the guardian and guide of civilization in the region and rescued and assigned Jinhsi as the magistrate, the leader of the city
The region has a history of war harboring an essentially endless army at it's doorstep. Yet as a battle looms once more, Jué is nowhere to be found.
Due to this Jinhsi left to find Jué, while the player and other character defended against the threat once more and emerging victorious.
We have been told by an unreliable villain that Jinhsi is fated to fight Jué and it very heavily seems that will happen but we don't know what is happening to Jué or why this would happen.
Jinhsi has followed Jué to the snow region of Mt. Firmament and it seems in the next patch (28th) we will follow after. The region seems to be suffering from time shenanigans.(Jué is also called the sentinel of time, able to control it in some way).
As for the open hand, it might represent is the player. Each resonator has a mark on their body, through which their power is unleashed and for the player, it's their right hand.
The player also has the ability to "eat" powerful creatures and their powers with their hand.
Curious enough both the new character Jinhsi and Changli use swords yet don't hold them in their hand. (Changli likely trained Jinhsi)
Another video just released today, you might want to watch the first half of it, with some more cinematic of the region and the new characters. (the 2nd half is all gameplay additions to the game)
The warm toned scenes where from when she was inaugurated as a magistrate, before the story started. The cold scenes are present day and it seems to be a trip down memory lane into what I'm sure she is dreading and is going to have to do.
more like resign to her fate, Jue raised her to be the majistrate not really her own choice.
One thing that I appreciate with WuWa so far is that the story is dark and they show, not just tell, that its dark. People died during this war and they don't shy away from showing it, not for shock value, but to add weight and consequence to you, the player, and your actions as the story unfolds to help end these tragedies.
Wuthering waves is made using unreal engine so the quality is top notch ingame too

Ok so kinda spoilers ahead, if you didn't play the game and plan to:
The child at the beginning is Jinhsi, she gets saved by Jue (the dragon). The dragon is a kind of guardian deity of the land and can predict future. Which is why she was chosen as the Magistrate. As for the whole "fate" part and is why at the end of the cinematic, Jinhsi replies to the "As fate has decreed." with "Jinhsi, will serve your will." Because Jue prophesied that Jinhsi will end up fighting Jue. That's also why they do the whole lightning for dramatic effect on that last shot as well as the focus on her sword before that. (Basically she'll be fighting her adoptive parent in a way)
The warm part is shortly after the Battle beneath the Crescent which is kind of in Jiyan's story (The green dude with the dragon and spear, I believe you watched his trailer), when she got inaugurated as the Magistrate. In current in game timeline the battle happened 3 years ago.
Her name before the inauguration was Hsi, became *Jin* -hsi after becoming the Magistrate of *Jin* -zhou.
The icy island is the area where next part of the story will happen. Supposedly this cinematic happens during early part of the story where Jinhsi can't meet us for 3 days because she went somewhere.
The young girl who we don't see later, people say is Changli (the girl that later hands Jinhsi the ceremonial cloak). Personally I don't see it but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
P.S. I didn't really pay attention to the story so I might be missing some key details or misinterpreting stuff.
Most of the important lore is integrated into their cinematics with game favoring the action half of the story. Only lore in game that’s not in the cinematics is the facility creating a thing that resembled the goddess in the first cutscene, the retroact rain manifesting past events, and rover having a little gremlin that was referenced by baizi in the first few chapters as resembling a “mini dimension” Before it’s full reveal. Oh yeah and the ovathrax IS NOT the dreamless or crownless to my knowledge it is its own thing.

One thing to note at the end of the cinematic, Jué dialogue is what it says when they hold the ceremony, the “As fate has decreed” part too. It’s not what Jué says in the present time of the cinematic.
So yeah, just imagine Jinhsi is saying “Jinhsi, will serve your will” without any pretense at present time.
pretty sure this cinematic is after the fight with Scar, she received the prophecy from Scar and went looking for Jue expecting a fight. thats why she draw her weapon at the end scene

The dragon is Sentinel Jue. Sentinel is god that protect a certain region. Jue is sentinel of Jinzhou that took form as loong (Chinese dragon). Hsi (then given name Jinhsi) is Jinzhou's magistrate/ruler choosen by Jue itself.
In game lore, Jue is known by its prophecy. And it's confirmed by 1.1 sneak peak that Jue has control over flow of time or fate itself.
With that information, what I LOVE from this story telling is, that part when we see Jue's shadow over Jinhsi and her flashback (her mother dying protecting her). It gives a sense that human's life and death, past and present, is soo small in front of Jue. But what if Jue itself chooses you? Jue who has power over time and fate, from all possibilities, chooses you (Hsi). And then we see Jue bring Hsi (as child) on top of mountain.
Then, we see Jinhsi stepping on the stairs of Jinzhou, in front of all its people. And we also see Jinhsi climbing the same snowy mountain. We can see that, from the child who was choosen by fate, now taking the fate on her hand, walking on her own feet, and bring the fate of her beloved Jinzhou and its people forward.
With the story of 1.0 so far, Jue said that there's a time when Jinhsi has to fight it. And it heavily implied in 1.1 that we will fight Jue, the embodiment of Jinzhou's fate itself.
This, I see as a beautiful symbolic behind the stairs and climbing the mountain. From choosen by the fate (taking by Jue), to make your own fate (climbing the stairs/snowy mountain and facing Jue)
That's why I can't wait to see 1.1 story

It's not really implied anymore, they've basically confirmed that we're going to fight Jue in 1.1 because we're getting it as a 4 cost echo (probably a weekly boss like Dreamless)
@@winxwin4790 They also said that it'll be new boss in the patch notes. Plus we already knew we were going to fight Jue from story. And it's definitely weekly boss (you need it's materials for Jinhsi and Changli skills)
One interesting thing I that the trailerin japonise is actually named past and future, and it mentions to reflect that jinshi journey to find Jue (the dragon) send her to a moment of rediscovering herself and her relationship with jue.

Jue, the Dragon, is basically the Guardian of Jinzhou, during the 1.0 story it's mentioned that Jue sees the future and has been constantly changing it. Jinhsi becoming Magistrate, their face-off at the summit, all of it was Jue already saw.

I love that the story is dark and actually show casualties and it's hardships. It's really appealing and rare for a gacha game to go that 'reallity' route.
And the quality is amazing!
13:30 there is some animation mistake here, as you can see she is in the middle of the stairs then after the transition she suddenly in the right side of the stairs

I was waiting for your reaction since this cinematic first released. Thank you for your video insight, you’re also one of little the reactors who realize that it’s was Jinhsi past. Idk, it really itches me when they didn’t even realize that it was her past, even though it’s very tell tale given she just literally said “past” in her dialogue. It’s quite obvious imo.
The Dragon is like a guide for the city and has the power of foresight. It would choose a magistrate and grant the person some of its power. Jinshi is the leader of the city and acts as an intermediary between the dragon and the people. Until the dragon disappeared leaving behind a premonition that the dragon and Jinshi will fight over the fate of the city.
This trailer is showing breif moments of her life and rise into power and the inevitable conflict between her and the dragon who saved her life. It isn't exactly a conflict between enemies, but still a fight for the future of the city's survival and prosperity.
My speculation is that the bad guys did something to the dragon to cause it to endanger the city and Jinshi will need to break the dragon free by beating it in battle.

I don't think so, the past reminisced here was when Jinhsi is still a baby. She's the baby saved by Jué.
Have to ignore the timeline like I said, the young girl child and the young girl look like the same person
My interpretation of it was she was seeing a potential future that mirrored her past which is why you see the same child from her inauguration in the "flash back"@MattScoot

@@twitzmixx8374 only other possibility is that while time was frozen on mount firmament, she was taken off the island and began to age much faster than that child shown.
