Thank you so much, I’ve been dealing with issue for YEARS and lots of money wasted at a repair shop that couldn’t figure out the problem. Such an easy fix to a perplexing problem!

Good that you found the problem and that it was a easyish fix😎👍 now get out and ride it🤣😉 hope that you and your bunch had a great Christmas 😁 keep well and have fun mate😉🍺
I am skeptical of your assessment that some pressure from a kinked hose caused or contributed to valve cover o-rings. You do note later on that failed o-rings is a known issue. I would not even call it an “issue,” but rather that people put so few miles on these often a valve adjustment and new o-rings have not been done in close to 20 years. So, yeah, the o-rings flatten and oil starts to leak. Both of my 2005 xt225 had these leaks from covers. I also don’t see how pinched hose would contribute to oil leakage.
Hey, Brently, by "stripped" do you mean the head of the bolt is rounded off? If so, I'll link to a video here that has some tips. I'd probably apply heat to the outer area of the case to help it expand, then do the cold chisel method, where you hammer the chisel on the head in the direction of the loosening rotation. Hammer and create a little notch in the head of the bolt with the chisel and then hit with more force in the direction of rotation. Hopefully the video makes sense. But if you're not talking about it being rounded off, hit me up again and we'll try to figure it out. Good luck! ruclips.net/video/R5d0Bgvjmlk/видео.html
Hey, Denver, the pegs were already on the bike when I bought it but I've since determined they are from DMO Specialties, found online. They're great pegs - highly recommended!

Keep 'em coming Jimmy. Had my 92 about six weeks and very pleased with it.
Thanks for all the great videos. You have helped me restore my xt to a good running bike.
Thanks Jim! Nice video. I'm having fun with my XT225.

I have a XT225 , Goat Bike
thinking about getting one of these, i appreciate your vids, did you rejet your carb? do the 2.5 turns out on your fuel screw?
Thanks! Yes, the fuel screw is 2.5 turns out and that's the only engine mod. Starting, idling, and throttle response are all spot-on!
@@jimmytmoto thank jimmy. Your videos are great, helped me make my choice in getting a XT225 👍
Hey jimmy, any tip on getting out a stuck, almost stripped oil pan bolt? Iam binging a 1992 back to life. Thanks

You may find you need to use vice grips to remove it or even file down the flats of the bolt head and use a smaller wrench or socket.
Hello,
Where did you source the oversized foot pegs for the xt225. Thank you!

Did u ride your bike for a while with the hose kinked ?
Just re route hose straight out ! block hole in air box, you will find engine even runs better !
Wasn’t using that much oil looks like a minor weep
