He's the one who wrote the lines, after all, and he *can* sing. He was the sole male singer in the band before Marko joined and you can hear him on the very first Nightwish albums. He's just.. too introverted, he does not want to bring attention to himself so he stopped it as soon as he got someone else to do it.

She was with them 10 months at this point, and she and Troy had been invited to join Nightwish just before this performance, but they had not officially announced it yet. The way I see this whole show is that everyone is great, but it feels a bit like Floor is demonstrating why they made the right decision because she just crushes every song.

I absolutely loved that you guys noticed relaxed the whole band is while performing. For a guy who has seen Nightwish live about 15 times (duh, i'm finnish after all) i absolutely love how all the band is smiling and enjoying what they do on stage. Smiles all around. Infectious. Just watching a full concert online, at the end, I am so happy. My face hurts from smiling, my eyes are cleansed from crying, my emotions are at a peak high. Been thru a lot in my 73 years on this rock and finding Nightwish 6 weeks ago has made the joy and pain of life more delicious, if that makes sense.
Stage presence because she started singing with After Forever at age 16 and she said she immediately felt relaxed and at home on the stage like she belonged there. I think she absolutely does belong on stage. Peter Pan was mentioned a lot but there was also a reference to Alice as in Alice in Wonderland. "Follow the madness that Alice once did." Next song either "Song Of Myself."
Discussion is not even necessary. The smile ear to ear says more than a trilogy of novels could. And I think this is why I'm liking Nightwish, as I'm pretty new as well. There is such joy everywhere around: the crowd, the band, the reactions, Floor for sure. This is not what I normally come to metal for, but it seems inescapable here. Pure joy and fun. I love it.

The perfect song for her 2nd experience thats exactly how I started out now for # 3 may I suggest "Romanticide" , Henri is falling down the rabbit hole.
One item you may not know about this song. The choir you constantly hear in the background is the London Symphony Orchestra's Children's Choir. The Nightwish Founder has a contract with the LSO and its Adult Choir can be heard on other songs in this concert.
Floor is the whole package. That is what makes her the best singer in the world today. She puts smiles on peoples faces exactly like the ones you had for the full performance. Love watching you two because it takes me back to when I first heard Nightwish. People like you reaffirm that she and Nightwish are everything that is being said about them and more. Thank you for sharing this with me. If I were you, I would show Henri "Song of Myself" from Wacken 2013. But really, you can't go wrong with anything. "Dead Boy's Poem" from Buenos Aires would be good to get a different flavor of Nightwish and you would be well advised to see something with Marko singing, say "Ghost River" from Wacken 2013, "The Islander" from Tampere 2015 (?), or even "High Hopes" from the End of an Era concert. It might be good to see something with Tarja before you do Poet with her, just so she can get the flavor of why Poet was such an important composition for Tuomas. "Wishmaster" is the song I most associate with Tarja, but I also love "Phantom of the Opera" from End of an Era.
Next react together to "The Greatest Show on Earth" Tampere 2015 version. It's really great! Or "Weak Fantasy" Tampere 2015, or "The Phantom of the Opera" Helsinki 2005 with Tarja, (her vocal style is operatic in general), the original female lead vocalist of Nightwish, and Marko, the bassist, as The Phantom. Or, or, or, there are so many good ones to choose from.
With songs like this, I remind myself that at this point Floor was a temp replacement singer for the band, singing Tarja and Annette's songs, and she had no Nightwish songs of her own. But along the way, that evening, she made it clear that really, *every* song is really her song. Great job, ladies! 🤘🤘

Everyone does what is needed without having to be the “star”. Floor may be the front person and perceived as the star but she totally realizes and appreciates that it is the presence of all of them performing together at the very highest level that creates the Nightwish vibe and excellence. @sabina, The whole Wacken 2013 concert is epic. Definitely the Greatest Show on Earth live in Tampere and the Poet and the Pendulum live in Wembley ( I recommend you research the story behind this song beforehand). You would definitely enjoy How’s the Heart acoustic version. But in reality you can’t go wrong with any of their songs. Their catalogue is impressive and vast.Your reactions are very enjoyable to watch.🤟✌️🇨🇦

Hi ladies. 😊 Don't know if you knew about this, but Floor was recovering from burnout when she accepted the mission of filling in for Anette in 2012. This concert, 10 months later, was the 3rd to last in their Imaginaerum World Tour and you see the end result of the love, the energy, the band and the crew's acceptance of her as a person and singer, but most of all it was the welcome and love from the fans and the positive vibes she received from them that gave her the confidence to find herself again and put her fears and insecurities away for good. She has a God given gift, and everyone that's withing distance of her voice will acknowledge that. The fans sure did. Thank you for the video, reaction and comments. Stay safe and stay blessed. 😊❤🤘🙏
There were two more after this one, first the Alcatraz festival in Belgium on the 10th (a week after this) and the last being M'era Luna the following day at Hildesheim, the 11th August 2013. That was also the first hint the fans got that Floor would be staying (although many had guessed), as when they were thanking everyone and introducing the "Last Ride Of The Tour" Floor said that after 10 months it was going to be difficult to have it come to an end, and Marco said that she may be staying around a bit longer. But yes, Floor said herself that if she'd had the call a month earlier, she would not have felt able to accept (she had just returned to studio work and completed the recording of her 2nd album with her own band, ReVamp), so she and Nightwish rescued each other, fought through the difficulties of a mid-tour lead vocalist change together, and emerged stronger than ever. Both Floor and the rest of the band later described her arrival in Nightwish as a homecoming. Her ReVamp album was released just after the tour, following which she and Troy were announced as permanent members of Nightwish on the 9th of October.
During this tour videos of the crowd chanting Floor, Floor, Floor.. is so satisfying... Makes me feel proud Nightwish made her a permanent member of the band.
The single good thing that has come about because of the covid shutdown is people have watched more RUclips reaction videos and discovering bands like Nightwish....that they probably would never have heard otherwise.
I am trying to put my finger on why your NW reaction videos have been my favourite reaction videos I have seen (and I have watched plenty). It is your joy. The wonder, excitement, amazement. Your positive energy. The expression of how I feel about the band that I see on your face, freshly placed there. you should look into Marco's vocals as well he has such a talent. Songs like while your lips are still red and the islander which more delicate. Other songs like High hopes and Phantom of the opera are so good as well.

I'd like to recommend a few other Nightwish songs to share with Henri : The Islander, live at Tampere; Yours Is an Empty Hope (I don't know which is the best live version, but I'm sure a good one will be top of the list in a RUclips search!); Phantom of the Opera, the duet between Marko and Tarja (this would be maybe 2004 or 2005); And Sleeping Sun, which is a long-time favourite of mine, and shows a different side to Tuomas's songwriting.

@sabina, The whole Wacken 2013 concert is epic. Definitely the Greatest Show on Earth live in Tampere and the Poet and the Pendulum live in Wembley ( I recommend you research the story behind this song beforehand). You would definitely enjoy How’s the Heart acoustic version. But in reality you can’t go wrong with any of their songs. Their catalogue is impressive and vast.Your reactions are very enjoyable to watch.🤟✌️🇨🇦

Don't know if you knew about this, but Floor was recovering from burnout when she accepted the mission of filling in for Anette in 2012. This concert, 10 months later, was the 3rd to last in their Imaginaerum World Tour and you see the end result of the love, the energy, the band and the crew's acceptance of her as a person and singer, but most of all it was the welcome and love from the fans and the positive vibes she received from them that gave her the confidence to find herself again and put her fears and insecurities away for good.
She has a God given gift, and everyone that's withing distance of her voice will acknowledge that. The fans sure did.

There were two more after this one, first the Alcatraz festival in Belgium on the 10th (a week after this) and the last being M'era Luna the following day at Hildesheim, the 11th August 2013.
That was also the first hint the fans got that Floor would be staying (although many had guessed), as when they were thanking everyone and introducing the "Last Ride Of The Tour" Floor said that after 10 months it was going to be difficult to have it come to an end, and Marco said that she may be staying around a bit longer.
But yes, Floor said herself that if she'd had the call a month earlier, she would not have felt able to accept (she had just returned to studio work and completed the recording of her 2nd album with her own band, ReVamp), so she and Nightwish rescued each other, fought through the difficulties of a mid-tour lead vocalist change together, and emerged stronger than ever. Both Floor and the rest of the band later described her arrival in Nightwish as a homecoming.
Her ReVamp album was released just after the tour, following which she and Troy were announced as permanent members of Nightwish on the 9th of October.

The single good thing that has come about because of the covid shutdown is people have watched more RUclips reaction videos and discovering bands like Nightwish....that they probably would never have heard otherwise.
I am trying to put my finger on why your NW reaction videos have been my favourite reaction videos I have seen (and I have watched plenty). It is your joy. The wonder, excitement, amazement. Your positive energy. The expression of how I feel about the band that I see on your face, freshly placed there. You are a little like the innocence that Tuomas Holopainen writes about in most of his poetical songs, brought to life and shown a canvas of wonders. Love your reactions. Keep them going. :)

But if you do that please show her the version from Tampere 2015, you did the Wembly indoor version i think, Tampere is an outdoor Conzert, for me and many others "The greatest show on earth" from this conzert is the best version, because they can do things outdoor they couldn't do indoor, if you see it you know what i mean.
