Plain and simple. Gives me renewed energy for doing my differential which is exactly the same as this one. This is the exact video I was looking for, but I noticed something about YT. When you type in a detailed subject YT seems to find everything but what you need. Hey! Is that a Factory Highboy in the background?
Bill Di Giacomo The tractors are standard model G tractors....that’s my guess at what you meant by high boy. WORD OF CAUTION!!!! I reassembled the bearings backwards and didn’t realize it until I had everything back together and on the truck. The largest bearing is intuitive, but the smaller one installs backwards of how I would’ve thought.
Remove hub first invert it to drum use a long pry bar for seal Remove bearing move outside bearing race enough to remove snap ring
@10:50 "If anybody knows any better way to do this.."
Flip it over, use a long brass drift, and drive it out with the bearing. Quick and painless
And that's what you did! lol. Good job. Seal removes are garbage.
Nice
Definitely a helpful video. Thank ya.
did the snap ring ever come out?
Do you happen to have the part number for those rotors?

Joe, I am referring to the Ford pick up. In the 70s ford made pick ups with factory lift kit. They were called a “factory highboy”.
Bill Di Giacomo No the only Fords he has there are both 2wd.
What disc brake kit did you purchase?
Lugnut 4x4 kit from ebay. Guy is actually local to me I found out.
Joe lugnut 4x4 is local to me too where are you located ?
I can smell the PB Blaster from here.... I might have to get some of those Channellocks because like you said, the Kobalt ones are crap.
