Great job .... very thorough and informative.... I had to laugh at his comment about not knowing why people would want paddle shifters. It's similar to driving a manual shifter... and lots of people enjoy shifting. And then he says why would you need a grab bar? Well, not everybody is as young and able as he is..... Im sure he likely realizes that by now.

William Humphrey the electronic shifter might save space but it definitely isn't very good for everyday use
Franklin Whitton have you ever used an electronic shifter? some of these awful shifters the electronic one is wayyyyyy better
Car Counselor I've never owned a car with one but I've been in a MDX and I didn't like it. in that car it tooknup the same amount of space and was still hard to use
Franklin Whitton on certain cars like the MDX I dont see the point but a minivan yes. I mean the MDX is a luxury SUV this is just a minivan that you want to save space and make it useable
The LX Odyssey comes the manual driver seat and a power passenger seat

The 2nd Row Seats in the LX trim level has no armrests anymore. I'm asking why did Honda remove them and, can the 2nd Row Seats Slide manually?

Wow, this thing has A LOT of features! You guys know me I go LX but this is cool for people who want it. The LX doesn't have push start, right?
Hi Dustin! Haha, yes it does have a LOT of features :p It was crazy figuring them all out and explaining them in a simple way! And to answer your question, ALL Odyssey's have push button start. I don't know why smart entry isn't grouped with that, though (guess that's a question for the Honda engineers). Thanks for the comment!!

i can clearly see the sticker price of $38,300 at 23:21, and it must be EX-L. With the sunroof and rear entertainment system, it's a pretty good price. I wonder if soundproofing has been improved in EX.

i meant it's not a bad price tag because i 've seen lots of EX-L with NAV/RES starts from 40k and plus destination fee. Now, I just wonder if soundproofing has been improved in EX (-L).

Can you tell me if the Touring/Elite trims handles any better than the say EX-L (with Nav/Res)? It is any more peppier due to the 10 speed transmission?
I did not drive both transmissions, but considering that they both have the same engine, the difference between 9 and 10 speeds would more than likely be negliable. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!

Hi there! It looks like it is a mix of both paint color and shiny black material (not plastic) to imitate the floating roof design. I know it was very hard to tell on the model we reviewed or to understand exactly I mean, so here's a link to pictures of a white Odyssey.

Car Confections yes, I have a 2017 elite version with one and I love it. The 2018 version seems awesome but I'm hesitant to buy one due to the rear air vents being relocated. I have kids in rear facing car seats and air vents overhead are a must.
Yes, unfortunately Honda did change several things like the position of the vents (probably for cheapness or some engineering flaw). Sorry I couldn't be more helpful about the cool box...

Yes! We actually got word our dealer now has a Si, so we are going to film that very soon!
Do you have to be within range of the vehicle to remote start?
When using the key fob, yes. But you can also remote start the vehicle using the HondaLink app, and with that you can be anywhere. Thanks for watching!
So what is the difference between the Ex-L vs the Touring, driving wise and handling? I know the touring has the 10speed transmission, but how does the EX-L drive? is the touring more peppy around town?
Honestly, I did not drive both models. But considering all trims have the same engine the difference between a 10-speed automatic and 9-speed automatic would likely be negligible. Hope this helps somewhat.

Sorry for the late reply. No Odyssey has any roof rails standard, but you can get optional Cross Rack bars for $195.
It looks like a combination of the 10th gen Civic and the 4th gen Odyssey

Get rid of the rear entertainment system and enlarge the moon roof. Kids rarely want to look up there... they have all their games in their phone and their iPad.
I don't know why but I really hate the looks of some of the Acuras and Hondas usually if your paying more for a car you would expect it to look amazing but not these, don't get me wrong I just think it looks bad but the features are where its at right now.

Don't buy this car! We (taxi company) had a few this year 2018 honda odyssey that transmission broken just after 40,000-miles. because its electronic transmission replacement are very expensive. even Honda don’t know what’s wrong of the transmission...... you better wait another year before you buying this van. a lots electric problems.
Will not buying this american shitty assembling quality from Alabama.
Plus rear end is very ugly!!! Worse than before.
