  • The Story of Accolade's Rise & Demise and the great computer games they made such as Test Drive and Hardball on the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum and other computers.
Like many people in the 80s and 90s I grew up playing Accolade games. However, Accolade inc has a great storey to tell. from its legendary founders, Bob Whitehead and Alan Miller and the boundaries they broke at Atari and Activision. The highs and lows to the courtroom drama. A lot was was happening between 1984 and 1999. Accolade has a great story to tell.

7:03 Yo, that transition was actually so smooth for the early 80s!

Basically what I can understand from this is
Accolade in 1948 - 1990: yeah we make games just very simple
Accolade in 1990 - 1999: we have too much games we have a new character named Bubsy and crap the owners left *bad games start to flood*
    Accolade is gone
    18 years later
Accolade: I’m back from the dead *hey wait I still own this, well I gotta make more sequels*

8:47 Accolade didn't publish The Dam Busters on the ColecoVision, that version was published by Coleco.

Star control.. loved that game. It was good
Huge universe. And depending on how you played had different paths.

I was so confused to see the amount of views on this video.
I have played *a lot* of the winter olympics game on DOS because I'm Latvian and we really like our winter sports.
And, of course, Grand Prix Circuit. Beep Beep Boop!

I played a lot of Grand Prix Circuit and occasionally some Test Drive, but other than that I never really got into any other Accolade games.

Grand Prix Circuit was a pretty good game. Especially as an F1 fan it had appeal 🏁🏎
