Granted Intellivision sports games were great, they were 2 player only. I knew a guy in college who would play baseball with himself using a controller in each hand! It was pretty funny to watch! 🤣

On one occasion, I managed to disable the Alien with a net and kill it with a harpoon gun. There is an Armoury Room with weapons. If you arm your crew (I don't think there is enough weapons though), they can fend off the Alien. Yet, that rarely did any damage to the Alien, just stopped an attack until the next attack. Most of the time, I would 'run' for the Cat box and then walk around aimlessly hoping to catch Jones. It was so random, and the Alien too efficient. I never defeated the Alien before it wasted half my crew. It's possible to move around in the ventilation/air-conditioning ducts, but I never figured out if that was more quick or not.

So many hours spent playing "Crimewave" and "Countdown" -- IMHO their best titles. I'm surprised they weren't mentioned in the vid! Access were really on top of their game (pardon the pun) in the PC realm. With "Realsound", they established sampled sounds on the PC way before the first soundcards became available. The digitised cutscenes were also a novelty at the time.

The Atari Graphic are crap next to this system. They really rubbed it in with these ads.

As a German, I'm a little sad that Commodore didn't do any TV advertising in Germany. Nevertheless, they were very successful here.

If i rememeber correctly, not only is thos mod a masrerclass in audio compression for its time, but its also triggering the video by utilising undocumented, unused Pro Tracker commands, hence the timing is so tight\between video and audio.

I bought this game years ago and it’s been sitting on the shelf for years. It was my birthday the other day so I thought I would spend the day and learn how to play it. Well that Alton had been an epic battle to get me head around it and I’m slowly working my way through it, fortunately I put a Pause and RCA mod kits in one of my 2600 so I’ve been able to pause the game to get me head around the next sequence of events. Your video has come in handy to help with my journey as I get my head around this game and hopefully complete the mission. Thanks for the great video you made, cheers from Tasmania.

Did getting low grades so your parents would by you a computer, ever actually work for anybody? Nowadays grades don't matter because they're aren't any jobs anyway, so that would have been a smart move for a kid back then, if that actually worked. Of course, back then that $500 scholarship probably paid for a year of college, but nowadays that won't even buy enough gas to get there.
