    I had the great honor of having the Tele-Gib for a week at home after I played with Seymour at a few gigs on a trip up through New England some years ago. Those pics of me playing that guitar while sitting in my living room will be in my inside coat pocket when I cross over.

      John Gagne You got to play the Tele-Gib, too? That’s awesome. I got to play it for a few hours once at a mutual friend’s house of Seymour and I. I wish I had thought to take pictures.

      It looks like an amazing guitar. I’m a fan of Fender type guitars with humbuckers. It can actually sound amazing with good vintage style pickups

    What a legend. and a legendary guitar.
    I've met Seymour briefly a couple of times, and got to hear him play this guitar, and he rips it up!
    Great and tasteful player, as well as a super talented technician, of course. Inspiring and generous man.

    @frishdawgs Jason is being a professional and allowing Seymour Duncan to speak freely; he listens to what Duncan has to say and asks follow up questions based on the information that Duncan gives.

    @knikk77 Tell me about it!!! I mean, their microphones are turned on for every bit of bs about some new product of some company where we even don't get a demo of it but when one of the most unique guys in the industry talks about a part of the rock n' roll history, it's off...Then again, it was a revelation to finally get the confirmation that JB stood actually for an abbreviation of Jeff Beck :O

      I think some credit has to be given to people like Seth Lover, who actually invented the pickups Seymour’s models are based on

    Great idea leaving the adjustment wheels off of the TOM, that eliminates the need for shims in the neck pocket to compensate the difference in height between the TOM and original Tele bridge, I'm definitely going to be building one of these they are too cool! This guy is such a brilliant craftsman and engineer!

    Anyone have any idea what scale this is? Did he add the tuneomatic and place it lower than the tele bridge converting it to 24 3/4? I can't find any info on it.

    • @tommack9395
      @tommack9395 10 лет назад +1

      Just eyeballing it... Let's look close...
      The string-thru holes are behind the tuneomatic, so the bridge is where the original saddles used to be... and the HB is where the old tele plate holding the bridge and housing the treble pup used to be...
      Then the neck and the placement in the body and judging the first and 7th fret distance ....
      To me it looks like it's still 25-1/2.
      Oh, btw I think I know where you're going with this... only a luthier or a estranged gear-head like me ;) knows that scale (string tenson) colours a lot of tone outside the pups, etc...

      All the frets would be in the wrong places if he put the bridge saddles anywhere other than where they were!

    Everthing is awsome, except that I would have liked it more to listen to the guitar, instead of 7 minutes of just a guy talking.
