Awesome footage. I went there to fly my Evo1 this year 2021. Took off right from the parking lot where you video is at the 11:27 mark. I sure can't compete with the DJI Inspire. LOL.
I grew up going to Little Africa, and Long Beach. Boating, fishing, and clamming in the channels there. Seeing all the land marks. The Knox school, the Northport smokestacks. Stonybrook hospital. You even got a glimpse of the Bluff at Kings park and the Nissiquage river. I don't get out much andymore, adn for people like me, these vids are just .... well, thanks again.
+MrTurboturbine Yeah enjoy the area if you can! Just make sure to be wary of the winds because winds can be strong at times on the coast. Best of luck to you
Amazing video! You should share it on www.dronetheworld.com, our new site for global drone footage. You are invited to be one of the first on our fast growing site. You´ll love it.
+Drone The World Thanks for the suggestion. Is www.dronetheworld.com a search engine of sorts used to build up a library of drone footage? What is the uploaded footage used for? I don't see an 'about us' page on your website so It's not clear what exactly www.dronetheworld.com is.
It's a free database, currently non-profit, to provide a platform for drone filmers. We started this project because we felt that RUclips is not sufficient enough to let drone videos stand out from the crowd. As drone owners ourselves, we basically created a platform to encourage others to get into drone filming. We may at some point look into generating profit to cover cost of maintaining this site, however this might be via ads or product sales. Rest assured - we love to keep our data secret, and so we do yours. We're only online since 48 hours, and we're overwhelmed by the responses. Thanks for the question! Feel free to recommend us - we're eager to spread the word!
Very pretty, I've seen a few drone videos of Stony Brook Harbor and I notice that none ever survey the inner harbor.
My grandparents used to live on the beach part just to the right of the fishing pier.
Great video. I plan on launching a kayak from that yacht club and its nice to see everything around there. Thanks for the video.
Nice flight ,what drone did you use? I Don't see you on any of the drone groups. We have quite the community noww.

I remember that Hercules statue not far from the fishing pier
Awesome video man, I need to get my Inspire 1 up there, there aren't many nice places like this in Suffolk that are easy to fly at.

Very cool. Never saw my home town from this vantage point before. Would you mind if I used a little of this for a home movie I'm making for my family?
Thanks austin. Feel free to use as much as you like for your home movie :) cheers
Great! Thanks. This will be a nice addition to the footage I have.
Nice views! About how high were you with the drone at 3:15?
Thank you! Not sure, I don't remember really, but probably between 300-400 feet AGL?

MrMedia4you no, i live there, we have so many trees it is impossible to see the roads from above.
I want to come here, but Suffolk banned drone flying in most shore line.
+KennyLee NYC Oh really? When did they do that? Also is that legal...?
+Daily Drone FPV I read it in RUclips, and he has link too. Let me look for again.
I do it all the time. Jones Beach, Hamptons...
