Lung and Heart Transplant for Adrian | Cincinnati Children's

After being diagnosed with Castleman disease, 15-year-old Adrian and his mom, Celia, traveled from their home in Mexico to California. Doctors recommended they come to Cincinnati Children’s for treatment due to the rare inflammatory disease impacting the teen’s organs. Surgeons at Cincinnati Children’s performed a lung-then-heart transplant after the organs were transported thanks to the TransMedics Organ Care System.
