Greetings from Turkey, my Kyrgyz brother. In the song, the names of the pre-Islamic gods of all Turkic peoples are sung. (Yel Ana, Yel Ata, Kök Tengri ...)That's why you're right to be proud of this song.
Otyken are an indigenous siberian folk music mixed with EDM and Mongolian throat singing. Altay might be about the Altay or Altai mountain range in Mongolia / Russia
It's Turkic throat singing as it's shared culture with Turks/Mongols and the group is Turkic. Altay refers to the mountain range yes, ancient homeland of Turks.
Genre wise we can say Elctronic. But the Music is Traditional Turkic music and throat singing, mainly been used at Tengrism or Shamanism to release the spirit
I like his style of music. I can listen for hours! I really like this song too! I can even perform some songs myself, although I have no talent for singing! Ummet is the best!
Ummet herself is Turkish, she didn't make a duet for nothing, and the girls are close relatives to the Turks. Since you are Russian, you will empathize a little and get out of Stalin's mind and understand that the ancestors of these women were Turks at the time.
Tengri, kayra ,Erlik, Ülgen, Umay, Ayana, Ayata, bergen, Yelana, Yelata, etc........These are the old gods of Turkish mythology......Ötyken (Ötüken) is also accepted as the name of the place where Turks first existed on earth and from there they dispersed around the world......troath singing is typical altai music.....and Altai is the name of the mountain ranges in the region where the Turks were born in Central Asia.......Turkish language is from the Ural-Altai language family............It is a legendary song...........Russian and Bulgarian friends, you should read some history. While you were not on earth, Turks and Mongols in Siberia were singing songs with vargan and troath singing, drinking koumiss and slaughtering each other.

That strange musical instrument that the girl played has a name - Vargan (Варган) A tongue-shaped self-sounding instrument that appeared in ancient times, It is still used by shamans, and special vibrating sounds are immersed in a trance during meditations. However, it is widely used by professional musicians and beatboxers Thanks for reaction!!!❤

I just have to say I appreciate your reactions greatly. You rarely talk "over" the music and when you do, you don't overpower the music. You pause and discuss relevant information and are articulate in your discussion, rewind a few seconds when you do pause to minimize the flow. You don't "overreact" and give interesting comments.
In short, these are Turks who have preserved their religion - Tengrianism. Before Islam, all Turks had faith in Tengri, faith only in God. If you pay attention, when Ummet sings, he pronounces the words: Tengri is the beginning, the origin, the foundation of the Turks. It was Siberia, Altai. Tengrianism will write in the google search engine it says in detail just like that music is called Altai
Their other video song titled """Phenomenon""" is Absolutely Amazingly Awesome plus another great song titled""Khan Blues""" and the name of the mouth instrument is ""Jaw Harp""🎉🎉🎉🎉
Altay/Altai is an important word and place. I watched a lecture on evolutionary genetics, and it was stated that ~ 20 thousand years ago in Southern Siberia, in Altai, the ancestors of modern Eastern and Western Europeans lived (markers R1a and R1b, respectively). Then all R1 migrated to the west, but initially Altai is the ancestral home of most of the entire white race. It is known from other sources (Dene-Yenisei theory) that other non-R1 Siberian aborigens - the Selkups and Kets are the ancestors of American aborigines (for example, Navajo), aborigines of Japan (Ainu), as well as Finns and Hungarians. Nowadays pure Kets and Selkups are very rare (there is a girl named Hakkaida in the group, probably she?). In recent couple of millennias, they were assimilated by Turkic-speaking nomads, and this is how the Chulyms people arose, who live on the Chulym River (a tributary of the Ob river) in the Krasnoyarsk region. The Chulym people make up the majority of the Otyken group, and most of the group's songs are written in their language. This language belongs to the Turkic language family, which probably explains the invitation of Ummet Ozcan (Turkish musician from the Netherlands). Ummet Ozcan sounds not as indigeniously (natively Siberian) as others but adds a lot of his own flafour and modern international vibe, imo. Consider reactions to their other masterpieces: Phenomenon (my favorite so far), Storm, Genesis, My Wing, Legend, ...
OTYKEN is a Siberian indigenous music group that combines modern pop elements with local folk music by combining traditional instruments, lyrics and languages. 'Otyken' is the Chulym word for a sacred land where warriors laid down their weapons and spoke. The group was founded in 2015 by Andrey Medonos. Dutch-born DJ Ümmet Özcan, of Turkish origin, was born on August 16, 1982. Born in the town of Putten, Gelderland, Netherlands, DJ spent his childhood in this city. After completing his education at a local high school in the Netherlands, he became more actively interested in music. The successful DJ continues to attract the attention of his fans on social media with his colorful personality. Ümmet Özcan's mystical stance, the instruments he plays and his interest in martial arts are known by many people.
So this low bass sound of singing is known as "Mongolian/Tuvan throat singing". It is traditionally sung by the Mongol and Tuvan Turkic peoples native to Mongolia and the Tuvan Republic of the Russian Federation.

The instrument she’s using is either called a “Jew Harp” (nothing to do with the religion) or “Jaw Harp” There are a few different names for it but those 2 come up the most when I tried to look up the name. Either way it sounds awesome and love the way she dances when playing it 😊
That song depicts all things from Turkic culture and shamanism. All their instruments are representing it. Ummet Ozcan is a Turkish DJ. And Otyken is part of Turkic people living in Siberia. In lyrics, Ummet Ozcan is chanting the names of gods from Turkich Pantheon such as Tengri , Kayra etc. They are deities from Tengrism which was the religion of Turks.
I love the throat singing! Check out the Hu. They are a mix of traditional Mongoluan throat singing and instruments with metal music. Their videos are epic and they have been around a while. So cool! I love the song Wolf Totem.
I LOVE The Hu…Wolf Totem is amazing!! Also the song they do w Lizzy Hale- Woman’s Song…just awesome. Ummet of course I also love now, Otkyen is now on my list of faves. The singer is also GORGEOUS!!
Every time I read a comment relating Otyken to the Vikings I get extremely annoyed lol. Otyken are Siberian indigenous Turkic, they are Chulym Tatar which makes them a lot closer linked to Kazakh, Mongol or Central Asian peoples. Vikings are Western European Scandinavians which are pretty far removed geographically.
The instrument is a jaw harp. The genre of signing Ummet Ozcan uses is called throat singing.
The genre of music Otyken are playing is classified as shamanic ritual music.
This instrument is called a Vargan.
Vargan (possibly from Old Slavonic varga - mouth or Greek όργανον, organon - instrument) is a musical instrument in the form of a tongue freely oscillating in the opening of a frame, set in motion by a finger or pulling a thread.
The instrument is placed in the mouth area. The oral cavity and pharynx, as well as the nasal cavity and lower respiratory tract, serve as a resonator that increases volume.
By controlling the work of the articulatory apparatus and breathing, they change the timbre of the jew's Vargan's sound by enhancing certain overtones in its sound spectrum, while the main tone sounds in a constant burdon.
Slavs call it vargan but Turkic people call it temir kopuz, komuz, kobız etc. İts origin is Asia. They call it jaw's harp or Jew's harp in the west. They are not singing Slavic are they?

For me OTYKEN is NO2 after Diana Ankudinova! 🎉❤
100%
Genre wise we can say Elctronic. But the Music is Traditional Turkic music and throat singing, mainly been used at Tengrism or Shamanism to release the spirit
I like his style of music. I can listen for hours! I really like this song too!
I can even perform some songs myself, although I have no talent for singing! Ummet is the best!
Ummet herself is Turkish, she didn't make a duet for nothing, and the girls are close relatives to the Turks. Since you are Russian, you will empathize a little and get out of Stalin's mind and understand that the ancestors of these women were Turks at the time.

Yoooooo I literally saw this yesterday and thought you would like it. I was gonna suggest it but looks like you already got it 😁
I've never seen you before and haven't watched a reaction video in years but wow i LOVED your reaction to this your awesome. 😎
Türkiye Hungary Azerbaycan Kazakistan Kırgızistan Türkmenistan Ozbekistan Tataristan Gagavuzya and the others we all Turkic brothers. Tengri biz menen
That strange musical instrument that the girl played has a name - Vargan (Варган)
A tongue-shaped self-sounding instrument that appeared in ancient times, It is still used by shamans, and special vibrating sounds are immersed in a trance during meditations. However, it is widely used by professional musicians and beatboxers
Thanks for reaction!!!❤
Also referred to in the West as a "Mouth Harp".
That instrument you noted never used by shamans, for some reason you dont understand who shamans were. Just check it out bro.
haha, i loved your reaction and your inputs... and like you say, this music is mesmerizing.. lots of greetings from Argentina!
I just have to say I appreciate your reactions greatly. You rarely talk "over" the music and when you do, you don't overpower the music. You pause and discuss relevant information and are articulate in your discussion, rewind a few seconds when you do pause to minimize the flow. You don't "overreact" and give interesting comments.
song and dance in tribute to the mountains, valleys, and rivers...❤
The instrument the girl in the back is plucking is called a jaw harp. It was used sometime in the peanuts cartoons played by snoopy.
OTUKEN Russian group from a remote province, but they are great, they took the wing themselves
OTYKEN is the sibirian Dead Can Dance.
@@svenrechburg4364 Funny! 🤣
Tribal Rave!
The instrument there is the mouth harp. Traditional Turkish-Mongolian instrument. It was usually played in before wars.

If you like EDM, then you'll love Ummet Ozcan's song called 'Xanadu'.
Hello, my name is Dmitry, I'm from Russia. Otyken in the Altai video play Vargan. This is the lip instrument of shamans. That's why you liked it)))))
OTYKEN is a Siberian indigenous music group that combines modern pop elements with local folk music by combining traditional instruments, lyrics and languages.
Siberian folk with jaw harp & throat singing. Women are mimicking hawk sounds with their singing. Very tribal.
So this low bass sound of singing is known as "Mongolian/Tuvan throat singing". It is traditionally sung by the Mongol and Tuvan Turkic peoples native to Mongolia and the Tuvan Republic of the Russian Federation.
I'd call this folk music. That's usually where stuff that's way off the grid ends up for me. 2:47

This song makes me cry, and I don't cry...normally. I don't understand why
The instrument she’s using is either called a “Jew Harp” (nothing to do with the religion) or “Jaw Harp” There are a few different names for it but those 2 come up the most when I tried to look up the name. Either way it sounds awesome and love the way she dances when playing it 😊
OZGAN CAN THROAT SINGING AND HE IS A TURK AND A GREAT DJ
That song depicts all things from Turkic culture and shamanism. All their instruments are representing it. Ummet Ozcan is a Turkish DJ. And Otyken is part of Turkic people living in Siberia. In lyrics, Ummet Ozcan is chanting the names of gods from Turkich Pantheon such as Tengri , Kayra etc. They are deities from Tengrism which was the religion of Turks.
The instrument she is playing is known as many different things but the simplest names are mouth harp, juce harp or vargan
Genre-Tribal. aka: World Music
OTYKEN SUPPER!
I luv cats and ur kitty's purring is therapy for the soul
The instrument she is playing in her mouth, is a Jules Harp.
6:33 this is "Jew's harp" national siberian musical instrument
I love the throat singing! Check out the Hu. They are a mix of traditional Mongoluan throat singing and instruments with metal music. Their videos are epic and they have been around a while. So cool! I love the song Wolf Totem.
Their cover of Metallica's Sad But True is also great, with a great message that they carried through into their latest video, Sell The World
I LOVE The Hu…Wolf Totem is amazing!! Also the song they do w Lizzy Hale- Woman’s Song…just awesome. Ummet of course I also love now, Otkyen is now on my list of faves. The singer is also GORGEOUS!!
What a genre... - This is a folk throat singing of the peoples of the north of Russia.
The instrument the girl plays is called Khomus or Vargan
The instrument that girl was using is mouth-komuz (sometimes lips-komus)
This felt like something I'd hear in Vikings. Beautiful, spiritual, soul moving music.
