VoicePlay has done a lot of cool songs, often with fun costumes, but this one is probably their best to date.
Best Voiceplay costume ever is imho "Hall of the Mountain King", its also one of the most hilarious Videos from Voiceplay
For the gamers in the audience, VoicePlay has 3 or 4 songs that are must-listen-to's: the Halo theme, The Dragonborn Comes (Skyrim), Enemy feat. Alexa (Arcane/League of Legends), and Warriors (League of Legends)
Their covers or Nothing Else Matters and Oogie Boogie are absolutely fantastic, you have to watch them and they will be right up your street!
Nothing Else Matters was incredible. Grammy worthy arrangement on that one.
Oogie Boogie. You seriously need to do that one pretty early, because the changes between it and this on (one of their most recent) are really noticable.
Voiceplay is just the best!! I have to remind myself every time that J does not coming crashing through an old wooden creaky door on rusty hinges, that's all Layne!!
I will recommend their covers of Metallica's Nothing Else Matters next. They don't always go all out with costumes, set, props and makeup. When they don't, it's still wonderful!! And they have a new one coming out in a week or so. Be prepared!
I love how you can still tell this is a Miracle of Sound track, while they also make it their own. (if you haven't, totally listen to the original)
Geoff and Eli are my faves out of all their members. I'd love to hear them do a duet.

Voiceplay are just so amazing, it's incredible what they do every time they put a new song out. I think you'd really enjoy their renditions of nothing else matters, Hoist the Colours, dream on, and the dragonborn comes from skyrim, if you haven't already seen them 😂 💜 they also do another viking themed one called my mother told me, and it's kind of like the first part to this song 😂 it's a bit older but still great.
because of them being Viking related, I treat this and My Mother Told Me as being like bookends, they hold up , so well together

VoicePlay doesn't just show up.....they show out. They are going to put on a full blown performance every time!
A capella does mean without instruments, it's all done with voice though some sounds such as foot stomping, body slapping, finger clicking, can be added at times. Though a couple of times VoicePlay have added a violin into the mix, in Warrirors and Nothing Else Matters.
They out do themselves every time! I cannot stop watching this, it is amazing!! Geoff hits 3 B0's! Eli has become the Asgardian god of rock, Layne is a beatboxing god, Cesar has become a Berserker, and J None has shown us that rap indeed belongs in acapella! And Miracle of Sound gave this 10 out of 10 raised ale horns!! Great reaction! This from the Assasins Creed Valhalla video game, but that rap is all J None!!

Voiceplay has done another Viking song--"My Mother Told Me" from the Vikings tv show. "Dragonborn" from Skyrim is awesome. "Halo" was awesome. They have a couple of Halloween classics--"Oogie Boogie Song" and "This is Halloween". Geoff has done a couple of Halloween songs on his own. Another acapella group you might enjoy would be "Home Free". Their bass is Tim Faust and I love his voice also.
Thank you for the intro for people new to a capella - so many folks don't realize there are no instruments! Voiceplay has used violin in two songs, but made it very clear there was an instrument each time. Other than those? Yes that's all them.
There is a Acapella metal group called van canto. I was amazed by them the first time I listened to them.
Welcome to voice play. The rabbit hole old is deep and extensive. You should totally check out their cover to nothing else matters, in my room and golden hour for some exquisite harmonies. For a fun time I would recommend, the little mermaid medley, we don't talk about Bruno, friends from the other side, and if I were a rich man/ girl. If you wanna get lost in the fantasy I would recommend over the misty mountains cold by geoff solo, the rains of castamere also a solo piece, hoist the colors, anc the dragonborn comes. And to see them just be wacky butter, and bang. And the list goes on. Lol can't wait to see what you react to next

The big names: Pentatonix, VoicePlay and Home Free all were on the show the Sing Off. That show had a lot of talented groups, and ranging a bunch of various styles from old school barber shop quartet, to rock, to Broadway, to choir, to Disney, to rap, hip hop and country. Three recommended from that would be The Dartmouth Aires cover of "Higher Ground," Urban Method's cover of "Here I Go Again," and The Tufts Beelzebubs cover of "Come Sail Away."

The Dragonbron Comes is a great cover by Voiceplay. Its from the game Elder Scrolls: Skyrim and has a similar feel to this. EPIC! ❤

I find it funny how I still haven't listened to any Home Free cover of any kind despite learning about them when watching those early Pentatonix (contest era) videos. It guess it may be worth trying something for me.
If you like VoicePlay then I'd recommend Home Free, one of my favorites of theirs is "Man of Constant Sorrow"

VoicePlay is just so amazing - you will have lots of fun doing reactions on them. Another one by them with a slight Fantasy/RPG-touch is "My mother told me".
And their newest release "Seven Nation Army" imho is also a "must listen to".
See that little smile as Geoff sings... he knows. He knows that 9 out of 10 who listen will stop for a second listening to him. He knows he has the power. We are still wanting VP to make a cover of Be Prepared... he will make a terrifying Scar.

To echo everyone else, Voice Play have really been really upping their game.. Every video gets better and better. If you're looking for other acapella groups, there are two other groups that make up the 'Trifecta of Acapella' - Pentatonix and Home Free. Each group has there own style and are equally amazing. A few more acapella groups have been starting to come on strong and keep getting better and better. Check out THE BASS GANG - a quartet made up of 4 basses, who each have incredible ranges, and Citizen Queen - all female group that are incredible as well.

Geoff, Eli and Caesar had to take a few days off to give their voices a rest after the recording session wrapped up... especially Geoff, because it took him close to five hours to get his vocal tracks 'just right'.
Imagine how difficult filming this was for the guys, the AC was broken the whole time they were filming in that insane Florida sunny summer heat. All that makes me appreciate this song that much more.
I personally think as far as groups Homefree and Voiceplay are at the top of the Acapella scene. So you should probably check out some Homefree Stuff 😉. You will like Tim Fousts Low Bass and 5 Octave range as well. Check out "Brothers in Arms".

Home Free is a great follow-up a capella group. Geoff actually states that the bass of HomeFree (Tim (Foust) is the master of the growl notes).
Oogie Boogie's Song is another great song, although really any song of Voiceplay IMO is a hit.

It’s ok to be informal with Geoff, he’s super easy going and informal himself. (So, completely opposite of the character here, lol).
Others here did a good job on VP songs, but I’d also push you towards Geoff’s solo version of Sound of Silence.
VoicePlay has so many amazing songs it's hard to even come up with a reclist, but I'll take a shot at it: My Mother Told Me (the prequel to this video,) Hoist the Colours, Nothing Else Matters, We Don't Talk About Bruno, In The Hall Of The Mountain King, Dream On, Carry On Wayward Son, Queen in Five Minutes, and Just Sing!
I would suggest for other Acapella check out Citizen Queen, all women Acapella
One of the Colored guys in this video sure looks like an actor in Brooklyn 99 when jake goes to class reunion and everyone thinks he told the teachers about shit. So he got bullied because of that. One guy was in the fotboll team and looks exactly like the the rapper in this video. Hmm.
