    I'm very grateful for your brake it down series. I had a feeling I may have known how you made some items but was shocked that it was different items on some of it. The space is also really adorable in real life. Its amazing to see a builder like you over NA as I feel like a lot of the really detailed builders tend to be in EU. The space was amazing though I wish I would have been able to build something in some of my apartments. While it also gives me some new ideas for my Medium. With Altitus I have many an apartment/FC room to build.

    Just stumbled upon your guys channel, and IT'S SO AWESOME! I just got into Heavensward, and I finally was able to afford an apartment. All the amazing houses in your channel is BLOWING MY MIND! I'd love to customize my apartment, but I just can't stand glitching items to move them up in the air. I hope SE can give us more tools to allow us to customize our homes without wanting to PUNCH MY FIST THRU MY MONITOR XP

    First time house builder here. When you place all these items on top of each other and thru the floor, does that means the basement is completely unused full of pieces and bits coming thru the ceiling? Or are you still able to use both upper and lower floors of your house with these methods?

    • @HGXIV
      @HGXIV  2 года назад +2

      Welcome to housing! Most of the time you'll find the basement is unused because the slot limit is used up on creating details on the main floor. Though, sometimes people get creative and use lowered ceilings with rugs and lofts etc to hide some of the bits that are peeking through!

    I have a very beginner question .. when designers let stuff peak out from the bottom, like 3:55 the table .. do you do the woodenloft trick from below? How do you know where to put it, so it peaks out at the correct position? I was going absolutly crazy when doing this, always had to adjust and start over and over to find the correct position. Or can u glitch stuff "downwards"?

    • @HGXIV

      Sorry for the slow reply Jennifer! The basket ontop of the fireplace is the Starlight Donuts - all eaten up! Since its from a past holiday event, its only available on the FFXIV Store now, but there is a similar but smaller version in game called the Sandwich Basket! It's just as cute and also dyable!

    1:19 how did you flush that cracked window before the Phasma? I'm trying to do it but it gets stuck on the wall behind the Phasma. Did you flush back the Phasma or did you flush forward the window?

    • @HGXIV
      @HGXIV  2 года назад

      That will largely depend on your set up. If you are working close to the natural wall, then you'll want something like a Stage Panel behind it to stop the Cracked Arch Window snapping backwards to the natural wall. If you're not near the natural wall, then you can just use the Wall Float Glitch to detach it from a partition, remove the partition and save a slot, and the window will stay suspended in the air.

      We try to include items needed for some of the smaller furniture Break It Downs videos, but for a full large house build it would be a list of 400 items. During these walkthrough-style Break It Downs, Ashen is pointing out the items as she goes.

      Do you mean above the window next to the kitchen backsplash at 3:24? Or the kitchen cupboard on the left at 4:02? I'm not 100% which paneling you mean, unless you mean the backsplash itself.

    It looks Amazing, but as the owner of a medium, an apartment, and FC-room and my partners small, I will never fathom having a Large and making it look like the size of a shoe-box.

    • @HGXIV
      @HGXIV  2 года назад +1

      We can promise you it's larger than a shoe box lol. But packing this much detail into a design means a compromise elsewhere. 400 slots doesnt go as far as people think! Larges are the least slot efficient homes in the game for slot vs size. Thats also the best part about housing though - people can create a space however they like - different strokes for different folks!

  • @mariaadams4284
    @mariaadams4284 2 года назад

    I so wish that the kitchen didn't need those damned iceboxes. The damaged Icebox pieces needed to craft it goes for upwards of 850, 000 gil on my server. I just don't have that kind of cash flow!

    • @HGXIV
      @HGXIV  2 года назад +1

      It doesnt *need* them! You can come up with a budget friendly alternative, like Hingan Bookshelves, Wood Slats and a White Rect Partition or Stage Panel for example.

    • @mariaadams4284
      @mariaadams4284 2 года назад

      @@HGXIV it doesn't "need" them but for the particular look there's only that item available in game. Much like the new lofts made of stoneflag, yes, there's other things you can use. But it really sucks for new players in particular that don't have the gold reserves that these items are gated behind submarine missions etc and are so expensive. I hope this explains my comment!

    • @HGXIV
      @HGXIV  2 года назад +1

      @@mariaadams4284 It sure does! Unfortunately new items that aren't sold by vendors (and with that said there are also extremely expensive vendor items for housing too) are always going to be expensive, there's no way around gil for new players other than saving every penny until you can afford it (or having a rich friend).
      Subs is a tricky one. Without items like housing stuff etc subs would be a completely irrelevant part of the game - which a lot of people enjoy since they don't bring back much else except lumber and ore. I do wish subs were more accessible to more players, but there was a recent Japanese blog by the SE team that said they hope to one day let subs be available to personal housing too, still wont be great for new players, but typically no end-game systems (in any game) are new player friendly. In MMOs especially, there's always a grind to get there.
