The seven promises given to St Bridget of Sweden for those who devote themselves to her Seven Sorrows.
    1. I will grant peace to their families.
    2. They will be enlightened about the Divine Mysteries.
    3. I will console them in their pains, and I will accompany them in their work.
    4. I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of my Divine Son or the sanctification of their souls.
    5. I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives.
    6. I will visibly help them at the moment of their death-they will see the face of their mother.
    7. I have obtained this grace from my divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to my tears and dolors will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness, since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son and I will be their eternal consolation and joy.

I went through RCIA 2013-14 and the instructor, who had an excellent reputation, taught us to receive in the hand. One of the students questioned "we're allowed to receive on the tongue, kneeling if we want, right?" He gave an annoyed look and said "they're trying to move away from that."

"What needs to be addressed?" Perhaps these issues NEED to be ADDRESSED: Only the Traditional, Extraordinary Form OF CELEBRATING THE EUCHARIST; Communion ONLY on the tongue. Never again in a person's hands; Receive the Eucharist kneeling at the altar; NO one touches the Eucharist save of the priest/consecrated hands. NO "eucharist ministers." And more proper, correct conditions. ~Dr. Philip

I remember receiving only on the tongue, only by a priest, over a gold plate held by the altar boy, only while kneeling. The church herself changed everything. The priests need to return to their role as shepherds that actually lead their flock, who actually teach the congregation how to revere our Lord, how to love and honor our Lord, and the holy Eucharist With all due respect, where are the priests? They went away, they’re not there for us, to guide us through these dark times. They disappeared during the pandemic, they’re invisible, hiding behind fear, and the sick issues we face today. The decor, the Tabernacle placement in front, less talking and modesty in attire show our respect for Christ. There’s much more that can be done to promote reverence.
Many Churches lack reverence for Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Absolutely my fav video.. . 100% of everything said is what I believe & want & pray for! 66 years old...remember all if this as a growing child & was so sad when it all was taken from me....about 6 years ago I chose a black lace veil similar to one I wore back then & placed it in my head at Mass, kneeled down on floor to receive My Lord & My God once again on my tongue. I approach with hands in praying position & say the Hail Mary while in line to ask Her & St
Joseph & Guardian Angel ti help me receive reverently & protect Jesus & crumbs from falling....I was a l9ner for few years but now several veil & more are finally returning to knees & tongue praised be to God! But still so many look like they've no clue as to Whom they are receiving or even why
..just kind of following the crowd. All you'e talked about are THE reasons people don't come any more...they seem to feel nothing . We must somehow awaken them & as Father Calloway well noted...we begin with catechesis on sin, Confession, The Eucharist, what actually occurs if you receive in mortal sin, postures, etc. Staying after church & being in prayer & thanksgiving while Jesus is still present in our soul, & heart. Aaaaawesome job to all 3 of you...Thank you so much & God help us all to fight to bring this about.
Ps..kudos to the Holy Priest in FL who , in order to protect our Lord thought to bite this selfish, demanding angry & violent woman! I am sure if confronted with any threat this Priest would give his life to preserve our Lord & King!❤

Father Calloway, hit the nail on the head! Being a mother of small children who will be making their first communion soon, I wish we could start to instill these traditions back into our masses. I wish there was a way to ever so kindly get our priests on board. There is so many young families longing for this spiritual growth with the beauty of reverence and piety. We want to be taught doctrine, our catechism and not just sugar coat everything with love. If we get back to tradition and the basics of teaching our faith behind the podium people would be able to understand our faith and truly live it out. I feel this is why the TLM is growing so rapidly.

Exactly! I honestly think there’s a huge population of Catholics that don’t fully understand what “worthy reception” of the Eucharist means.

Assuming that there are consecrated hosts in the tabernacle, and the tabernacle is behind the altar, when the priest says Mass facing the people, he is literally turning his back to Jesus.

I agree with EVERYTHING presented in this podcast. I especially like the information on the true interpretation of the the Vtican 11 documents. I am a music minister, this experiment in bad liturgical music has been a disaster. At certain feast days I will sing a piece of Holy Classical music in Latin, Italian, some French and Spanish. If done well people love it even young children! We must give our best to Jesus every Mass. He gave His best to us.

Yes, same here. And it should never be seen as a 'performance' or entertainment, as music ministers are there (or should be there) to inspire people to focus on Jesus and the Mass, not ourselves.

Yes! Bring back the communion rail and trained altar boys! Communion kneeling on the tongue as the norm a must too. We show by our actions what we believe🙏 More confession opportunities before Mass as well. St. Michael prayer after every Mass.❤️ Jesus we trust in You!

Thank you Fathers and Doug. Much needed talk. My 88yr old grandfather still knelt all through Mass - pre VII. One thing that totally makes me crazy during NO Mass is that 'sign of peace' - people all busy hi-fiving etc all the while Father is fractioning the host and they don't even notice the Agnes Dei starting. I hate that!

Hey guys, this was an excellent talk. Could listen even more on this topic! I started taking communion on the tongue 2 wks ago. Felt the Lord calling me to this due to listening to 2 talks on the topic, which came up on my yt feed, "out of nowhere" & I prayed about it. I prayed for courage. I honestly forgot that I had prayed about it & when in line for reception of the Holy Eucharist I had this "pop up" inspiration reminder as if to say "hey do you remember you were going to take Jesus on the tongue the next time you were at mass?" & I had 2 people in front of me & no time to "overthink" it. I won't do it any other way now. God is so good.

Excellent program with three excellent men. Everything you stated is very important and would immediately change what people believe about the Eucharist. At most Masses there really is no worship-we need to dress properly, address the Lord properly and be able to give a proper thanksgiving after receiving the Holy Eucharist.

Thanks Fr. Heilman, Fr. Calloway, & Doug for this special discussion on the Holy Eucharist. If we had communion rails, I think everyone would love to kneel and receive on the tongue. Our bishop sent a degree that we are to receive in the hand. They will not refuse us on the tongue, but they do not like it. I have received on the tongue for most of my live, but have received in the hand for the last few years. I always look at my hands as soon as I receive. We must have a special host as I have never seen a crumb or speck of Host on my hand. After all the Hosts are distributed, the priest will sit in silence for a good 10 or 12 min. This is so nice as we who have received have already been in meditation for a good 10min. and then with the priest 10min it equals 20min to talk directly to Jesus in the Host we have just received. I love being Catholic and having the Holy Eucharist. ❤🙏🙏🙏

I think one reason for the 70% who don't believe is that many people associate the sacredness of the Eucharist with the holiness of the priest. Given the scandals of the past decades many find it hard to believe. We need better catechesis and we desperately need better priests.
