This is my first year putting up a tree and I'm really going all out on the Christmas decorations! My sweet daughters are loving our home made advent calendar. He spends weeks putting lights on basically everything on our home with our neighbor and 50+ people come to watch him begin the season with his fun, dancing Christmas lights. We would make homemade pizza including the dough in the shapes of different christmas things like a tree/snowman/etc. So fun, yummy and i love that its different!
Every year for as long as I can remember my family has lit up my grandparents super long driveway. A couple of days before Christmas my grandparents will fill 160 brown paper bags with sand and a candle. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we will set out the bags to essentially “light up the pathway for Santa.” Now that all of the grandchildren are older we still go over every year to keep the tradition going. Seems different, but with a large family it is so fun! @charwallen

My favourite Christmas tradition: my whole family goes to my grandmas house for dinner, while dinner is cooking we all play road hockey in the street and toboggan down the hill in front of her house. I would also like to mention that I am the youngest in the family (19) and the hill we sled down is so small but we always thought it was so much larger and scarier. My favorite christmas tradition is something we do in Czech Republic (idk if anywhere else) called St. Nicolas: the night of the 5th of december, kids hang stockings on the window, and that night “St Nicolas, an angel and a devil” come to your house, and if you’ve been good they fill your stocking with candy, and if you’ve been bad the put “bad things” like carbon or potatoes. They have a little place where you can get pictures taken where you look like your from the old west. So every year my grandparents, cousins, you name it go and choose a new costume. As small as it may seem, one of my favorite Christmas traditions is the way my family wakes up Christmas morning. Me and my siblings all sleep in the same room on Christmas eve (me and my three slyly siblings even all shared a queen bed one year) we wake up, wake my parents up and wait on the stairs. @yelahcruz My favorite holiday tradition is with my whole family. We all go to Old Town Sacramento where it’s an old train town and the buildings are old, wooden and brick. They have a little place where you can get pictures taken where you look like your from the old west. So every year my grandparents, cousins, you name it go and choose a new costume. It’s really fun way to see how we all have grown up (we’ve been doing it for about 10 years). Happy Holidays!
My favorite holiday tradition is going to my great grandma house on Christmas Eve and opening gifts from all of my grandparents. She makes us a huge dinner and we eat pie and watch each other open gifts... we’ve been doing this tradition for 20+ years and I absolutely love it!! 💗 @shaylearalston

My favorite Christmas tradition is spending the morning celebrating Christmas and then celebrating my Dad's birthday in the afternoon (his birthday is on Christmas). As small as it may seem, one of my favorite Christmas traditions is the way my family wakes up Christmas morning. Me and my siblings all sleep in the same room on Christmas eve (me and my three slyly siblings even all shared a queen bed one year) we wake up, wake my parents up and wait on the stairs. My dad takes our picture from the bottom of the stairs then excuses us to run down. It’s so much fun to look back and see how we’ve all grown throughout the years. @missbhaven00

Ah I have so many holiday traditions! One of my favorite traditions is riding the Macy’s pink pig. They put it up every year during the holidays. It’s technically a little kids ride at the mall but I started the tradition for myself and it’s just something I do 😂 they also give you a sticker with the year on it so I’ve been collecting them since 2015 😎 insta: @steph2style

my favorite holiday tradition is competitively making ginger bread houses and going to see the christmas lights on christmas eve. Mr. Finney (the man who does christmas lights) was on this lil show called the great christmas light fight and he won !! it was crazy that someone from our small lil home town won. it’s so magical and wholesome and the cutest thing to drive through 🥺 he has a donation box and lets you take a picture with him and the trophy 💛
