Elderly Chinese men have a lot of will power to stay this fit at this age. Two of my great grandfathers share this mentality. One of them passed away a couple years ago, the other is living through this pandemic, he is currently in his mid 90s like this man.

He was in a white unit? He may also be a platoon sgt maybe because he was a E-6 in one of the photos.

Wow, what an amazing Asian-American hero he is! Can't believe he is 95 and the mind is sharper than most 65 years old in 🇺🇸
Hats off to the new graduate of 2021 👨🏻‍🎓
    God bless him more!!!

My dad was drafted into the US Army for WW II.He wasn't a citizen at the time. He was able to get here from China since he had a "relative" that could give him a place to live. He never talked much about WW II. He spoke English since his dad taught English in China.

@Alexander Haro Most Americans don't know the contributions the Chinese have made in this country. Chinese have been in America since the Gold Rush, built the western half of the trans-continental railroad, model citizens, doctors, lawyers, scientists, etc., but most Americans view the Chinese as immigrants and a threat to this country. It's to make Chinese inclusive. Hopefully, to dispel some of the Asian Hate. Nothing wrong with calling him a Chinese-American. It's to give credit where credit is due.

Because he's still ethnically Chinese and has undoubtedly faced discrimination in his life because of it.
Yes he's American, but he's also a part of the Chinese American community.

American denotes white American. Gonna be a bit strange if you ask someone what nationality they are and they say American when they don't look like it.

@@rtc5573 Doesn't matter now anyway. America is officially a dumpster fire. Time to move to non-English speaking countries where foreigners can't flock to!

During WW2 my father worked on British merchant marine convoys supplying war materials to England. During 2 separate trips the ships were torpedoed by German submarines. He and some of his other comrades were picked up from their life raft by another ship. After escaping death twice this way, father decided to jump ship in New York. However by coercion he was inducted into the US Army April, 1943 or get sent back to Hong Kong. Father served in Al Levy's unit the 288th (Chinese regiment) Field Artillery Observation Battalion under General Patton.
