At world's end felt like a ending for will and elizabeth but on stranger tides feels like a ending for jack and barbossa but dead men tell no tales ruined it
Verily. On the side, I think a way to do a Pirates story WITHOUT the main cast would be to focus on the world-building, particularly the Golden Age of Piracy and its prehistory (the days before Calypso was bound).
For unknown reasons, Disney decided to make changes to the production staff for the next film; mainly the scrip writers, the director, the cinematograph and the music composer, and thus, the final product left so much to desire. On Stranger Tides still retained the same production staff (except for the director) from the original trilogy, thats why this scene has the same vive as with the previous films. Dead Men Tell No Tales was total disappointment for me, because, from my point of view, it had a truly remarkable potential for being the best POTC film since At World’s End.
"All hands! Ply to windward! Get cracking, ye bloomin' cockroaches! The Crown served me well. But now, by the Gods of sea and sky! Make way for Tortuga!" --Hector Barbossa
Indeed. Geoffrey Rush who portrays Barbossa is coming back for the 5th movie, not to mention Orlando Bloom. It gets me so excited just thinking about it. The Dutchmen, Black Pearl, and Queen Anne's Revenge appearing in the fifth installment.
Gotta say Barbossa cleaned up rather well over the course of the series, appearance wise. And I must say that Barbossa was probably the smartest character in the series, next to Jack and Will, which is probably why he lived as long as he did. And he was also one of the oldest characters in the series. Just going by his appearance, it's safe to assume he's at least 10 years older than Jack, and if Jack was around say 40 in the first film, then that means Barbossa was 50 mathematically, and given the curse he was under, physically he and Jack would've been about the same age. And given that William's son was a young man of around 20 years old in the fifth film, that means Barbossa would've been at least 70, though with the stamina of a 60 year old. (Though none of that encompasses how hard life was back then, and how all that hard work, not to mention the living conditions, injuries, and alike would prematurely age a person.)
I think blackbeard kept the hat as a trophy when he attacked the pearl as for the clothes of course Barbossa would keep his pirate outfit . Dont know where he had it the whole time that's a little confusing I agree
Honestly if i was Blackbeard, and had captured the ship and effects of the Pirate Lord who became immortal, died, came back, willingly went to Davy Jones' locker and returned, and helped bring down Davy Jones and Lord Beckett, i'd keep it as a trophy too
True enough, but as you saw at the end of this video, Barbossa controls the wind, allowing his ship to go at (at the time) remarkable speeds that only the fastest ships (The Interceptor, The Black Pearl, and The Flying Dutchman, as well as other notoriously quick ships) can manage. However I will admit that predicting where The Dutchman will come up is a hard task, though not impossible.
I'll just pretend the fourth one never happened. This was the perfect ending. Barbossa won it all. Jack got his ship back and remained on rather good terms with Blackbeard. Will and Elizabeth's story remained poetic and tragic. The fifth one took a huge dump on all of it.
He slaughtered their captain in front of them and 5 minutes later they were laughing and cheering for him. That shows you how much they hated Blackbeard lol

+frankiewashere Don't forget Elizabeth is King of the brethren court as well, talk about successful career development they all made!
+Freeyful Riiiight Elizabeth has Sao Fang's ship, now it'll definitely be a battle of captains.
0:50 is the Hector I know :p
F*ck yeah Barbossa! :)
0:48 Captain Hector Barbossa: All Hands Ply the windward get cracking ye blooming cockroaches (Laughing) the crown served be well but now by the Gods of sea and sky make way for Tortuga.
I love barbossa, best character in the series. Great acting by Geoffrey Rush. He knows how to play an alpha pirate.
The fact that the writers were so bitter that they had to kill Barbossa just because Geoffrey Rush didn't want to play the role anymore
"All hands! Ply to windward! Get cracking, ye bloomin' cockroaches! The Crown served me well. But now, by the Gods of sea and sky! Make way for Tortuga!"
--Hector Barbossa
Finally Barbosa and I can stop fighting who’s CAPTAIN of the Black Pearl
Barbossa is my favorite character. He's a far better capt'n than jack.
Man I wish we could have seen more of this in Pirates 4 & 5.. In the films it seems like Barbossa had the _Revenge_ for like 10 seconds
Barbossa's a badass..
Hell yeah.😎 I can't wait for the next one
+Fighthedead Fearthelivin I think this may be the last we see of him.
Jack will die in potc 5 by berbosa
If that happen i will give you my soul
Hahahaha why? So that barbossa can own two powerful ships?
never seen anyone wear a hat with so much swag!! ever
my FAVE pirate of all time!!
best scene in the whole movie; best scene in the whole series, in my opinion. barbossa is such a badass!
Captain Barbosa is back bitches!!
Indeed. Geoffrey Rush who portrays Barbossa is coming back for the 5th movie, not to mention Orlando Bloom. It gets me so excited just thinking about it. The Dutchmen, Black Pearl, and Queen Anne's Revenge appearing in the fifth installment.
+kungfumaster51 that is awesome! It's all coming together!!
Hector Barbossa is such a fun character! His dialect is what makes him hahaha
Me throughout this entire scene: Thats gotta be the best pirate i've ever seen
Barbossa is basically a pirate version of Loki
I love the way he says Tortuga
Barbossa is my favorite character and he deserves that ship and that bad ass hat
Agreed.
I love this scene. It's one of my favourites in the whole movie!
And then the 5th movie came and destroyed it all
Who thinks there should have been a spinoff film featuring Barbosa and his adventures as the captain of the Queen Anne's Revenge?
One of the best Hector Barbossa's moments.
If only they featured this ship longer in the movie
Love his laugh XD
That laugh is what makes this scene so good
Anyone else love the little nod to Barbosa’s theme at 0:24 ?
Why didn’t he just bring The Queen Anne’s Revenge with him alongside The Black Pearl to fight Salazar? That ship is a beast. It would’ve been helpful.
Did you even watch the 5th movie, he abandoned the Revenge to lead Salazar to Jack or else he dies
Tbh Barbossa looks so much better as captain of the Queen Anne's Revenge then Blackbeard ever did
This scene is awesome, but if the monkey was here that will be 100× more cool
I like Jack but can't deny Hector is my favorite.
Once a pirate, Always a pirate... that's a neat ending for this pirate.
This never gets old
Atlast
Make way to Tortuga 💯😈💗
Tbh, he is the best pirate actor
This is one of my favourite scenes in this one
The moment u realise by revenge he both means the ship and his vengeance against black beard
I need a compilation of Barbossa yelling insults at his crew
Wait, how come they even found Barbossa's hat under Blackbeard's ship ?
And why did Barbossa change his clothes into the EXACT outfit from years ago ?
You mean fifth right?
@@amp8295 Yeah, don't know what that's about.
@@cameronjosephvideos5942 You've confused Dead Men Tell No Tales with Stranger Shores.
I first saw this I was like "Captain Barbossa is back, man!!"
Barbossas laugh is legendary
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
