I never saw The X-Files' original run in the 90s and its finale in 2002; but I remember eagerly waiting for its reruns on cable every weeknights in 2004 when I was about 9 years old, and instantly fell in love with Mulder and Scully, the whole mythology, and the Smoking Man (which is my favorite character, to be perfectly honest). So in a way, I could say watching this short documentary is sort of nostalgic for me.
I love the 1st season, but everytime I rewatch it, I keep wondering again on how HUGE the sholderpadding of the suitsjacket were. IT gives a nice effects to scenes like 9:48, but looking at for example 0:34, it's like "what the f@#§" Also a huge collection of awfull prints on neckties we get to see in the first 2 or 3 seasons. It's sometimes hard to believe people, respectable business men included, bought those an tought: "hmm, this looks great on me!" XD But for the rest lots of fun, it's my alltime favorite show and the older the episodes, the better they are!
i was born a few months before the show started airing, so i would have been too young to be able to watch it anyway, but i only just binged the show for the first time this year because the opening used to scare me so much as kid. i used to see it when the show would air in reruns and assume the show itself with a complete gorefest because of the imagery. watching it for the first time, i was actually really pleasantly surprised with how...mundane and funny (intentionally and otherwise lol) the show is. and i mean that in the best way possible considering i was expecting 11 seasons of the fucking saw movies but got the template for what is basically every non-dick wolf related procedural of the last ten years. the show really was and continues to be massively influential, and imo it's one of the only shows i've watched with this big of a reputation that actually lives up to the hype.

That's what fighter pilots say when they experienced ET space flight, its that exhilarating that nothing of the 5 senses comes close to feeling the same again... not even climaxing.
@@siddharthbhoyar9737 Are you able-bodied and capable of physical activity? If so I’d say go and do that instead. If you are unfortunately confined to the house in some capacity then watch them from beginning to end... or until you become bored of them. After that, go and watch a well put together documentary called Idiocracy to see what decades of entertainment as a medium has created in us as a society, and then shed a tear for humanity. Remember TV and other forms of entertainment is ultimately the drug of a nation, use it wisely!
If you go back to other TV shows, you see all they ever were, pretty much, were variations on sitcoms. The idea of something so challenging, that challenged the US Gov, that presented so many ideas, was unique, and actually still is. But I didnt find it scary. Interesting, intriguing, some were funny, some of the monster of the week were truly gross, but nothing was scary - except one. Just one, made me jump and gave me goose bumps and the creeps.
best show ever in humanity
i agree....best tv show ever.
Yes it second best tv show for me my very favorite is Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Damn right it is. 😅
You got that right!
I still don't understand how they made this, it's unbelievable in every way, so real
My daughter was born in 1996. We named her Dana. No coincidence. Love this show. ❤

David Nutter...still talk about it... We still miss them! You should be proud of this show. Each and everyone of you made it so special.
One of the best shows ever made and of the 90s.

Thanks for uploading these. For some ungodly reason, FOX left out the extras discs when converting to the slim cases
If you're looking for original case .. Try book off store on 45th street and 6th Avenue. They still might have original issues.
that 1:23 line - probably my favourite of Mulder's in the whole show!
I’m about to rewatch the entire show just for this series that’s on RUclips
Just finished season 1
@@reach831 did you finish the rest???

Happy 30th anniversary! Best experience ever!
never watched till a couple months ago now I'm on season 5 was hooked from the get in the pilot
I remember watching the 1st season and all the others so vividly
Loved it sooooooo much
Even dreamed of being in an episode as a 16 year old ahah
How old is this documentary ? I mean, not when uploaded on youtube, but, when it was really taken and published ? Looks like same 90's or early 2000's
I believe it was during the 7th season.
+BIOSHOCKFOXX Carter says in the documentary something like 7 years after the pilot, so that would be year 2000, yeah
1997 i guess
I was in 2nd year at college, loved it!

@@siddharthbhoyar9737 No, like everything that you get too much of, it eventually becomes tedious.
