The Air Gait is that one moment in lacrosse like other moments in sports that has everyone trying to replicate it. Such an iconic and influential goal in lacrosse
@@LaxWeekly Don’t forget that Gary did the Air Gait twice in that game. The Orange needed it since they won the game (vs University of Pennsylvania) by one goal. I was in the Carrier Dome for that game. The Orange went on to win the National Championship two days later against Cornell.
Wesley Berg around the world 5 hole deserves way more credit. Edit: a Gary Gait goal, but not a single Powell brother goal? Check out some Mikey Powell compilations if you haven't already. Not seeing him here is a crime.
@@Dustyblue42 ruclips.net/video/T6z08GLGxyg/видео.html Tom Schreiber's net-ripping-lefty-on-the-run-shot with the perfect camera angle should also at least be an honorable mention
Honorable mention, say what! This is the BEST GOAL OF ALL TIME. Never seen this done ever. I can only imagine the humiliation the Cornell goalie felt of being scored on by the Albany goalie. I watched it on live TV too.
Replace wolf's empty netter with Blaze's goal against cornell and we good. Just dont think an empty net goal should crack the list. Everything else is great!
Pretty good picks, was surprised by your #1 only because it was so long ago. Was at the game, it was indeed an incredible moment, just blew you away and spun your head for a second....then he did it again. Just crazy. Nims goal in the '09 NC game really was beyond belief too. Still can't talk to a Cornell fan about that game today without them turning a little pale and gagging a little. Unbelievable.
Mikey Powell, another Syracuse great, had several incredible goals, which you can see in videos on RUclips. He was very fast, quick and hard to cover. He and Lyle Thompson are my picks for most dominant players. When they were on the field they seemed to play at a higher level than everyone else. I think it's fitting that they are the only players to win the Tewaaraton trophy twice.
As a proud SU alum, Class of 1991, watching Gary Gait do things no one ever even thought to TRY, he tried and succeeded-many National Championships to show for it. Very happy to see Air Gait!🍊🇺🇸
I’ve been gone for a while and it feels so good to see you posting and looking good Thanks for all your videos that I’ve watched, they were all awesome P.s it’s AWESOME TO HAVE YOU BACK
One thing that sticks out about the Gait goal is that the Goalie actually went for the save. Instead of just standing there thinking WTF he actually recognised it and almost got a piece of it. If he saved it, it'd be one of the best saves ever. How do you save a shot that no-ones ever seen before?
Great picks and solid reasoning, this video was great! Pat Spencer are you not entertained has gotta be HM. Also that one Army OT winner where the guy was like get off me little man and then went bar down… savage
Honorable mentions were definitely better then 9 and 10 Ok watching the rest of the video made me realize it was better then most the other ranked goals, these rankings were horrible
I pretty much agree with most of your list but I would have put Blaze Riordan's coast to coast goal up there and Lyle Thompson's famous backhand diving from x.
connell vs syracuse yes they do still think of it my cousin was number 4 on Cornell at the time but i don’t know if he was playing because he had a knee injury
YESSSSS Ive been waiting for this vid, totally forgot about that Mark Matthews clean toe drag def has a spot on this list, for me Id have to add Lyle Thompsons first goal against Notre Dame in the NCAA Tourney where he comes from behind goal towards his off hand side but stings it top corner with a backhand shot I get chills every time I see that goal. Some other cool video ideas you could do could be Best/Most Dominant College lacrosse teams of all time, or like best individual performances in the NCAA Tournament so like Perkovics 5 goal game against Denver, Chris Cloutier getting 7 against Loyola than winning the championship against Maryland etc. But also a video I really want to see is a retelling of Maryland vs. UNC Championship kind of like what you did for Albany vs. Notre Dame
In the realm of trick shots I saw Ryan Powell score two goals on the Dome turf behind the back bouncing the ball halfway between him and the cage to the upper corners. I think it was his freshman season. Would love to see the footage of those if it exists.
Great list. Enjoyed it. I saw a bunch of these live. Great memories. Can you do a best attack trio of all time… ie. Princeton’s Hess, Massey, and Hubbard 🤔
Sergio's goal against Denver is number one, change my mind. And I hate ND.. but that goal will live rent-free in my head forever (this comment was written after I paused the video during the sergio goal).
i was honestly surprised you didnt put Blaze Riorden’s Goal up there cus its not everyday that a big guy goalie runs it all the way up and scores especially at D1 Level
UAlbany GOALIE Blaze Riorden 2015 NCAA First Round at Cornell: causes turnover by intercepting pass, runs length of the field, spins between a double team, high-level shot fake, then fires a laser.
Zach Greer 2007 against Cornell in the final four with like 3 seconds remaining. Defenders draped all over him, still catches it and buries it past the goalie
How do you put a number 10 spot as a guy with a open net because he was faster. Then the honorable mentions has a around the world falling down and also that sick back hand shot.
I was at the 'cuse/Albany game in 2009. That was one of the most epic games I've ever had the pleasure of witnessing. I'm a bit surprised that there wasn't a single Mike Powell goal in here. He definitely had a few that made these look easy.

My lacrosse coach was a goalie in college and he blocked the air gait
Like the Odell catch
I was at the air Gait game
Honorable mentions - 4 goals that take extreme accuracy and skill. Number 10 - this guy runs fast
haha facts

Couldn’t agree more. The only thing I would change is putting Blaze Riordens coast to coast goal in the honorable mentions.
I was about to comment the same... also the Hopkins dude that ripped the net like 9 squares with a straight heater...you just dont see that ever
Honorable mention, say what! This is the BEST GOAL OF ALL TIME. Never seen this done ever. I can only imagine the humiliation the Cornell goalie felt of being scored on by the Albany goalie. I watched it on live TV too.
Blaaaaaaze!!!
Do top ten best lacrosse saves of all time
Would be awesome
kyle bernlohr butt end save vs. hopkins 2016
denvers save 3 days ago has to be up there lol

That sergio shot gotta be top 10 its just 2 damn pretty
Soooo smooth

Zed Williams: “Am I a joke to you?”
HAHAHAHAH
Honerable mentions better than the top 10. That goal from that Sergei dude may be best goal I’ve ever seen tbh

Your Tucker Durkin vid just hit my recommended and got me to sub. There is a serious lack of defense talk out there...would love to see more.
I need to find someone who knows more about defense...I'm mostly an O guy!
the kenny nims goal to send syracuse to OT vs Cornell is the SINGLE BEST lacrosse moment of all time. no questions asked
Surprised Mike Powell isn't in this! He had some of the best goals of all time.
Totally agree with #1-as a huge Gary Gait fan!!❤️🥍
Dang! That last one earned that #1 spot
Why does he only have 9.5k subs he should have at least a million
Great video, I Probably watch Mark Matthews highlight reel every year getting hype for college lax

Can you make a video analyzing the PLL Entry Draft ?
No Mike Powell finaliser?
Honorable mentions were better than the top 10
I love coming home from school and seeing a new lax weekly video
my guy!
Only one goal from one of the Thompson’s? You should do a top ten Thompson’s
Not gonna lie the honorable mentions should be on the list
matt rambo had a corner snipe that was sick i forget who they were facing
Against UNC in the national championship
Great list
A good video would be top 10 all time college teams, like Jeff Teat and Rob Pannel on the same attack together.
ah gotchu that would be fun! like sowers and schreiber
Zach Greer 2007 against Cornell in the final four with like 3 seconds remaining. Defenders draped all over him, still catches it and buries it past the goalie
Legendary shot
No Powells? The Lacrosse G-ds are not pleased.
The honorable mentions were all better than the number 10 goal

How do you put a number 10 spot as a guy with a open net because he was faster. Then the honorable mentions has a around the world falling down and also that sick back hand shot.
true not my best logic maybe
Yeah but still a great vid!
