Nice treat Mike ! ...Bonus That it's behind the best locomotive type ever made . Sad that you didn't get much time at the seaside though. Thanks for a really great share of your day ! ...Andy ps the meals looked great !!
great record of the day I hope the delays did not spoil it too much for you. some cracking shots of good old Yorkshire included Certainly brought the crowds out let's hope we see more of this loco up North cheers
Cheers Gaz, that shot at Tame bridge with the sun so bright was the only thing I could do to get something on film. It made a nice change for me to spend time with my wife on a train.
Hey man....Seems we have some competition !! Two of you on a table for four...Very good and roomy. Nice to see you having a crack at a tour and filming the event. June and I really enjoyed it.
Come on Keith I'm no competition when It comes to this type of travelling on trains, you are the master but we were very lucky that we had a table for four. I m pleased we entertained you and June with our day out but my wife Sue was disappoint with our very short time at the seaside.
Oh good, pleased that satisfied your love of diesel hydraulic Mike, there is a number of videos with hydraulic locos covered in my SVR gala videos, Regards Mike.
Very good video of your day out with Mom. Pity about the delays and lack of time in Scarborough but hopefully the excellent service and food made up for that.
Awesome video Mike. Pity you had only 40 minutes at Scarborough but at least you managed a swift half at Weatherspoons. Thanks for sharing your great day out, it's a like from me. cheers...Bill
So thats what you look like Mike Ha Ha.Always nice to see what some friends look like who you haven't seen.Sorry there were a few problems on the trip but it still looked like you and your wife enjoyed the day.Really enjoyed your video and a like from me.Regards....Trevor.''
Your breakfast and evening meal weren't problems ~ how the other half live !! Filmed the train off Blackroot bridge ~ very atmospheric through low fog about an hour late. Sound superb
Yes Its nice to treat yourself sometimes, I have been watch peoples footage of the train, and will watch yours if you upload it. Thank you for your comment and watching my video.
What a great idea. Was this actually run on Xmas day or some other (but near) time. It always amazes me that so many people turn out to photograph and video every commemorative train. And the food looked good too!!!
An eventful excursion there Mike, but Pathfinder seemed to cope very well with everything thrown at them and the food looked fantastic. A shame your time in Scarborough was cut short, but it was probably a bit too cold for a dip in the sea anyway! Hope you have a good Christmas.
Hello Darren, my wife was disappointed we had that short time in Scarborough but the main reason for me was to spend the day on the train with my wife and treat here to some first class service from the catering crew which we got, and to do the Wetherspoons pub which was number 660. Merry Christmas to you too Darren.
A very enjoyable 20 mins plus well edited and looks like you and the Mrs enjoyed it.One thing I do find disturbing is that you turned down a bowl of porridge, shame on you Mike
Hello Richard, yes mate we both enjoyed the day apart from the rushed stay at Scarborough, and yes of course that was a spoons pub which was the main reason to go on that tour apart from the Western.
Details seem to be sketchy at the moment. I received this info from someone in NR control from someone on the train. The DTG seem to be playing it down at the moment. See- www.westernchampion.co.uk/ I hope we are proved wrong and its not as serious as first thought.
And just to contradict my last post I see on another video from the same tour, a comment was written that said the loco would be out of traffic until atleast mid 2017 so who knows!

Andy it was a very good day out for us, thanks for your comment on our day. Regards Mike.
Nice footage of the day
Thanks Kevo, made a change to ride on a charter instead of being line side.
what a wonderful video what a sensation to view the tour pass through my home town bridlington on the day thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed my day out Andrew, thanks for viewing and your comment Andrew. Regards Mike.
Possibly the best thrashing action that has been to the Yorkshire Coast for quite a while to be honest. Cracking video and Season Greetings!!!
Yes Ricky you are right with your comment. Thank you for your interest in me video, and you also have a great Christmas.
antman09ful1 Thanks. Is it true that the engine blew the following day on D1015?
Very good video Mike and I'm pleased both you and Lady Sue had a wonderful day :-)
Lady Sue, well I'm lost for words.............
great record of the day I hope the delays did not spoil it too much for you.
some cracking shots of good old Yorkshire included
Certainly brought the crowds out let's hope we see more of this loco up North
cheers
It certainly did get the crowds out all along the line, specially after leaving Sheffield. Thank you for taking a look at my video.
I bet that's when the sun came out it was just starting to get above the mist 5 mins later and my shot would have been directly into the sun
Table service and good cooked food on a train is such a civilised way to travel. Definitely worth paying for :-)
It certainly is but it has to be on the right tours at that price. Thank you for taking a interest in this video.
Mike - enjoyable footage of the days journey. Liked the opening shot of the Wessie thru the mist at Tame Bridge too.
Cheers Gaz, that shot at Tame bridge with the sun so bright was the only thing I could do to get something on film. It made a nice change for me to spend time with my wife on a train.

No trains run on Christmas day, this was filmed on 17/12/16.
Odd. Even the airlines run on Christmas day!!
An eventful excursion there Mike, but Pathfinder seemed to cope very well with everything thrown at them and the food looked fantastic. A shame your time in Scarborough was cut short, but it was probably a bit too cold for a dip in the sea anyway! Hope you have a good Christmas.

Yes syrup is acceptable have a good one mate
To Craig and Owain, I like porridge but I would have to have loads of sugar on it which I can't have. Syrup would send me to a early grave.
Nice footage :-)
Thank you for taking a look ay 76
Looks like you had a good day on the wizzo Mike.
We did Tom, what a great loco it is.
Looks like you had a nice day mike , could have done with a bit longer in Scarborough but you still managed to get to the pub, was it weatherspoons 👍🍺
Hello Richard, yes mate we both enjoyed the day apart from the rushed stay at Scarborough, and yes of course that was a spoons pub which was the main reason to go on that tour apart from the Western.
So you dealt with the delay and managed to get some shots then, few of us saw the train at water Orton and needed that 56 number.
Yes Tom I did what I could but was more of a day to sit down and watch guys like yourself filming the great loco.
And to top it all off, the loco has also put a rod through the side of the block on one of the Maybach power units!
Thanks for this information can you tell me where this happen please. Thank you for watching. Mike.

Well Pathfinder have another tour with it on 25/02/17 so if true they will not be to happy about that. Thank you for the updates.
Trainporn and breakfast porn !! Nice shooting (Rifleman,,,,, I'll get my coat ! ) . a merry maybach to all.
