Yep, they’re a civilian service unlike the USCG. The only “law enforcement” they do is supplying RCMP or DFO officers with a platform to conduct enforcement out of. Only 2 of our coast guard ships are armed but we don’t use them lol. The Navy also conducts maritime law enforcement activities too.
How come no one had a cultural hissy fit about the choice of drumming song? Oh yeah it's comedy.......slightly less volatile than SJW or a cultural appropriation tirade about a baseball supporter action.
