Now THAT’S how you do a cover! Stay true to the original, with a bit of your own band’s flavor. Top notch.
He's no Mike Patton, but this cover is pretty darn good.
No one can do this song better than Michael Patton! But, if anyone could even come close to doing it any justice at all besides Mr Patton, it's David Draiman. This is my favorite cover they've done thus far!
@Dal Gurak it looks like at least 6 people besides myself beg to differ
Lol wow you took things to a whole other level real quick! I'm pretty sure everyone does, but I'm not here to discuss my personal life with you, so there's that. ✌🏽
@Dal Gurak lol, never thought I would hear that. Mike Patton has insane vocals.
🤘🙌 I agree
Would you hate me if I said this is my favorite faith no more song, but I like the cover more?
After listening many many times- I'd like to admit, they did a phenomenal job with a cover. I grew up with Faith No More's version basically on repeat thanks to Tony Hawk's Underground 2. But damn, Disturbed's cover is more like a remaster. The notes on point, the beat, the minor vocal and rhythm changes, the ending rollout, god. Damn.
Disturbed also had a song on there.
Liberate
@@atomicmatthew3694 yeah it's kind of coincidental that both had songs on their and one would cover the song on the game.
I'm impressed...it takes real balls to try a Mike Patton cover; it takes skill and talent to do it well.
DIdn't think they could top Land of Confusion but this is a perfect cover. They sound just like Faith No More but they sound just like Disturbed too. Smart song choice guys.
Have you heard 'shout' yet? Also a phenomenal cover!!!
Nope. This cover of my favourite FNM tune SUCKS
@Christopher Bingham Worst cover ever.
@Christopher Bingham Fuck off, that one sucked. I love Disturbed but doing the slowed down thing piano thing like the pop singers do now was a horrible choice. Definitely their worst cover, and they rule the cover realm
@@HenritheHorseI agree it’s shit
I love both versions of this song! Grew up on the original but this version sure does give the original a run for its money!
People gotta understand that covers aren't a competition to see who can do a song better. Disturbed were influenced by Faith No More, and this is their tribute to them. David's no Mike Patton (nobody is, for that matter), but he still did the vocals justice.
Best. FNM. Cover. Ever. The love shows so strong.
How did I missed this one??? It's perfect!!! Best cover I've ever heard from Disturbed so far!
Man...they covered The Sound of Silence.....hands down the best I've heard personally
I personally like this and a few other covers more. But some of their other covers I grew up on.
Shout 2000 will always be one of my favorites, but this cover is my favorite
* The Sound of Silence
* Midlife Crisis
* Land of Confusion
You forgot Shout
@@johnborders836 that's because only recently I've been a Disturbed fan and I didn't listen to Shout 2000 back then.
Living after midnight
Midlife crisis
Shout 2000
Land of confusion
Living after midnight
The sound of silence
@@scoobywithadoobie7255 ISHFWILF from U2 as well. A bunch more as well, but those were live I think and aren't on albums.
A well-deserved tribute to a band that is not always sufficiently valued. FNM was the key band for new heavy music in the 90s. Thank you, guys!
Bloody hell - what a voice. Well suited for this song. 🙌👏
He is amazing. Patton too, in a different way
This is both the perfect Disturbed song and perfect Faith No More song at the same time.
[LYRICS]
Go on and wring my neck
Like when a rag gets wet
A little discipline
For my pet genius
My head is like lettuce
Go on, dig your thumbs in
I cannot stop giving
I'm thirty-something
Sense of security like pockets jingling
Midlife crisis
Suck ingenuity
Down through the family tree
You're perfect, yes, it's true
But without me you're only you (you're only you)
Your menstruating heart
It ain't bleedin' enough for two
It's a midlife crisis
It's a midlife crisis...
What an inheritance
The salt and the Kleenex
Morbid self attention
Bending my pinky back
A little discipline
A donor by habit
A little discipline
Rent an opinion
Sense of security
Holding blunt instrument
Midlife crisis
I'm a perfectionist and perfect is a skinned knee
You're perfect, yes, it's true
But without me you're only you
Your menstruating heart
It ain't bleeding enough for two
Midlife Crisis
It's a midlife crisis
It's a midlife crisis...
You're perfect, yes, it's true
But without me you're only you
Your menstruating heart
It ain't bleeding enough for two
You're perfect, yes, it's true
But without me you're only you
Your menstruating heart
It ain't bleeding enough for two
Go on and wring my neck
Go on and wring my neck
Like when a rag gets wet
Go on and wring my neck.
How are most of us just now hearing this. That tenor in the back is amazing. Can anyone imagine disturbed without David? Yeah ummm no, just no!
He did a good job on this cover. Faith no more has a unique sound and he did a good job at having his own unique sound in this version. Both different but good in their ways
Like the versions of gone away by the offspring and 5FDP version, nothing can top the original but if anyone could come close its Ivan
HELL NO, HE IS DISTURBED!! EVERYTHING HE COVERS USUALLY TURNS OUT BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL ALTHOUGH I LOVE THIS SONG & DAVID, I THINK FNM IS BETTER WITH THIS SONG LIKE HE SAYS "RENT AN OPINION "🤣
@@jennifervaughan307 I actually have to separate with you on this as far as my opinion goes. I love this version so much more than the original but I do understand and respect your answer here!🤘
a cover that respects the original and ads a small amount of your own flare without destroying the orignal
It's like:
Mom can we get both San Andreas and nfsmw?
Disturbed are the cover masters!!!!!
*Disturbed likes to do cover songs. Fixed it.
I was just writing under the original version of FNM how Disturbed IMO do the best covers ever! This one is so close to the original in its vibe And (big loud unashamed cough) the land of confusion and sound of silence covers of Disturbed are far superior to the originals. And those are legendary pop songs.
@@Jo8Nathan > far superior to the originals
Dude...
I agree! I also think Marilyn Manson and Korn are amazing at covering songs!
I really like the sound of the percussion
I never realized the similarities in vocals between them! Wow
Never heard this until now....great cover 10 outta 10
better late than never!! truly great
I seriously thought this WAS Faith No More. Holy shit.
I didn't know I could love a song more than I already have. I used to drive around San Andres just vibing to the original
Disturbed doing Faith No More?.....my faith has been restored
they should make a compilation of the best Faith no More covers
This is the only one I like. Covering old bands is a hard thing. I’m picky with my covers. I like a lot but I also hate a lot. (Some I even hear the cover first. But not this song.)
I wanna hear them sing Epic! 🤣
This deserves to be in my “songs to turn up all the way on my headphones so if I go deaf it’s to something badass” Playlist.
I feel like I'm going through one right now.
Faith no more, really midlife crisis. I'm almost in it 😅🤦🏻♀️
Sweet baby Jebus. I feel like Thor when he goes full elemental on Asgard in Ragnarok.
Disturbed are the masters of cover versions
What a damn good cover. I like it better than their "Sound of Silence" cover tbh.
Same. This is my favorite cover they did.
Sound of Silence was awful, at least they kept the original tempo for this cover
If you told me this song was about Madonna when I was a kid I wouldn't have believed you.
Wow a disturbed song I actually like
And it's faith no more...
This is actually really really impressive!
Sound of Silence and now this masterpiece! God Bless Disturbed ,but I am am not having a midlife crisis.
Other way around
They covered this almost a decade before sound of silence
This was made way before sound of silence cover
His baritone vocals compared to Mike's strong tenor set, especially when Mike hits the highs using falsetto technique, and the extra guitar dubs added, make it unique enough. a good cover
I think it doesn’t really deviate enough from the original. Which is impressive in its own right, that this vocalist can match Mike this well. But it doesn’t have enough of its own identity to make it stand out much. An untrained ear might not even be able to tell the difference between the two until the end.
Mike - hight baritone
Love Disturbed and love the way they keep up My favorite now and forever
I want that intro looped for 90 mins so I could take it to the gym.
Nah. Draiman can't even touch Mike's vocals lol.
Switch it around
@@chunkyjasonplays1631 no way
@Chunky Jason Plays - haha. you drunk? Mike Patton is a vocal god
You mean Papa Meat Fucker?
FAITH NO MORE!!!
Perfeito! Perfect! I loved. Saludos from Brazil 🇧🇷
One of the best covers I've ever heard.
I hear this many much years ago on fm radio till now hardly trying to find this but nothing helped.. thanks to voice searcher by google after long years i got it right now..😍 hardcore metal music😍
Just as good as the original
Wow, now this is epic
No this is midlife crisis lol

This is one of my favorite songs and they covered it beautifully \m/
It sounds very close to FNM but maybe more polished which makes it different live. Well done...
GO ON AND MAKE MY EGGS!
great cover tbh
going frickin hard
Had no idea anyone, let alone Disturbed covered this song O_O
Sounds great !!!!!
I was glad when the lost children came out to hear this cover. It’s my favorite they’ve done
Normally hate this band. But they actually do a fine job with this one.
Just beautiful.
Firm hold on the original melody. I like it
This has a better ending
A song so good you wanna rescue your daughter from the Vicious Overlords of Rampant Entropy.
This is a fkn great cover. Holy shit
Disturbed ..... ahhh masterpiece
I think it's too similar to the original, but I think that's kinda unavoidable when you realize how much Disturbed took from Faith No More.
Not a reflection on their inspiration then a changing cover.
Very nice! Not even a fan passed the second record (I just grew out of them). But this is a jam for sure!
Im glad they did a faith no more cover. I like it! It may not be as good as Patton's version, but it is pretty good
Holy shit how did I not know about this?! Amazing cover!
Manso cover culiah!!! 🤘
there's a big difference between a lark and a mockingbird....stay woke kids

Space And Time 1
Very strong cover
Really good cover for faith no more greatest song of all time
Well... This was a surprise. I waa just listening to Midlife Crisis. By Faith No More. Then this played. I thought something weird happened. I look at my phone and Disturbed is covering it. Interesting. Well done, Disturbed!!!
I'm actually quite surprised how good of a cover this is, however compared to the original it lacks a tiny bit of the energy and dynamics, still very good performance just a tiny bit more sterile.
Ok…this is good
Now this is a damn-good cover
great cover. super ballsey for them to even attempt, but David pulled it off.
Can anyone tell me if this was in a game any before. Or am I simply mistaken? Just feeling like I have before. ( specifically this version)
The original was featured in the Tony hawk's underground 2 playlist.
The Faith No More Version was in GTA San Andreas.
Yeah, original version remix was in gta san andreas in radio x.
Faith no more? A pleasant surprise!
Tag The Big Billboard
Hell yeah haha! Heavy thug2 vibes because of Both Disturbed and FNM
Big tribute Again by disturbed 🤘🔥😍
Top de mais! 👏👏👏👏
LOVE DISTURBED!!!!!!!
The mindfulness book "30 Days to Overcome a Midlife Crisis" by Harper Daniels has been helpful. It's all in the mind.
And I thought faith no more sounded cool but disturbed impressed me
I love it, but lacking the higher guitar tones, just seems off. Bass is much crisper, which is awesome. 8/10
It's a great cover. Shut the fuck up, you picky bastard.

Having heard some other bands attempt to pull off a FNM cover (Atreyu? jesus...); pretty sure this is as good as it can possibly get...
Atreyu did an FNM cover? Searching for that monstrosity immediately lol
@Kirk Walker for the love of God save yourself!
Wow

Wow.
The ending is what I dislike its too Disturbed after a solid cover.
Great cover two thumbs up

Holy shit,..
I am suprised, cool :)
I really like this cover, and I only discovered it by searching for the original by FNM. Now don't give me hate, but I do not feel it's their best cover. Land of Confusion rocked and Sound of Silence was f'ing awesome!! Is this better than those two? I don't think so, but still a very good cover. Nothing less than what Disturbed delivers every time.
HATE their cover of Sound of Silence. LOVE this.
I HATE you.
Is it possible to not be a fan of this band and their original stuff , like I really don’t like it but… their covers are so damn good!!!
