And another nice one Johnny Strides. Hope you get up this way again. In case you do here are a few points of interest for you. Yonge and John St. The original town of Thornhill. Go 1 block east on John st. Then north to Colbourne St. then west back to Yonge. Nice old historic buildings. Centre St. and Yonge. Go west on Centre. On the North side of Centre is Old Yonge St. A number of historic buildings there. A little further west, on the south side is the Thomas MacDonald House. On up Yonge is Royal Orchard Blvd. On the west side of Yonge is the Holy Trinity Anglican Church Cemetery (very old). And east on Royal Orchard Blvd., at Bay Thorn Dr. (about 2 blocks east) is the Heintzman House. Hope you can check these places out the next time you venture out there.
Also Richmond Hill downtown starts at Major Mackenzie Drive and goes north from there. And the buses you see in the bus lanes are the express buses. They only stop at the major intersections and no stops between Steeles and Finch Subway. The others are locals that stop at all bus stops but still go to Finch station. Incase you haven't found out yet.
A few comments: 1) T&T and Pickle Barrel are at Promenade Mall (Bathurst and Centre Streets). I am not aware of these having ever been at Hillcrest Mall. 2) as bleakie mentioned below, the tracks going under Yonge Street just South of Clark would be freight tracks. I've always seen CN Rail trains and have never seen a GO train there. 3) It seems like the VIVA line express corridor is running quite smoothly now. A few years ago, while they were building it, Yonge Street in Richmond Hill (my last residence in Canada; I permanently settled abroad in 2019) was horribly congested and had these narrow temporary lanes that were squiggly in places. Glad to see that's changed.
Dear Mr. Johnny Strides.... I went to the doctor today and then from there, I went to my Sister's for dinner... I missed the Live Stream.... You gave me a shoutout in the first few minutes.... Two Big Thumbs Up.... Yeah, I live in Richmond Hill.... Great stream and the fact you trucked up all this way from Toronto, people in Thornhill should be happy.... the end... Always in Good Taste... CHEERS!.... Be Supportive and Subscribe
Great stream Johnny! I joined late but at one point in this video I could've yelled out my window and you would've heard me 🤣 33:11 When you're up in Thornhill definitely check out Arnold street West on Yonge.. that area has really nice homes! As you mentioned haha

Seeing the sun in Canada after winter gives a feeling of joy
Oh, is THAT what that strange-looking yellow ball in the sky is? I was wondering about that.
