Firebox Stove Cooking! Goats & Dogs Backpacking Camping Wilderness Lake Trout Fishing (full trip)

- Good times backpacking and camping with my goats (Lucky Bill & Levi) & dogs (Ash & Juni). I love exploring remote wilderness lakes in search of good trout fishing. I find the harder it is to get there the better it is when I arrive! I love finding somewhere quiet, where I feel completely alone. This trip, not so much. Cowboys are yelling and cursing in the background with their dogs, driving the cattle making quite a raucous. Would have been irritating if it weren't so entertaining. It was very fun watching real cowboys on horses working cattle the old fashion way. Good camping, good food and a general reset before going back to my busy life!
When the goats are three years old they will be able to pack as much as 50lbs each (depending on how big they get 150 - 200 Lb. They can carry 25% of their weight) I bring them now for training. The dogs only carry what they need. The goats don't need much so most of what they carry will be for me or for the dogs.
Many of the products shown in this video (and my other video's) are available on my website www.fireboxsto...

First time watching you. Great by the way, i am just wondering what is the pressure bottle washer type thing you use?
The most beautiful thing here is seeing two trained dogs getting along with two completely different animals, goats. I love this man's life!!!
Thanks!

@@sunchaserw1477 That is awesome!! Thank you!
I have never seen someone hiking with goats!...they're like dogs they follow..wow.
redcinos
Pretty sure every domesticated animals will follow humans around if handled proprely
@@theredbug7092 I personally never seen a cat Follow their owner In the wilderness But Hey There might be
@@yoy58913 I had my cat following me for miles on my fishing trips. Of course he had he's share of the catch ;)
My neighbor had not a goat and a Great Dane. The goat would fetch sticks and the Dane would head but with the goat.
Was the funniest shit ever when swat raided the house across the street. Was talking to them after they wrapped up and they were shocked when they saw my other neighbor let the dog and goat out and they started playing.
Goats love to be with humans
Mine follows me everywhere except when I stop, then she follows the dog
Call the dog back and the goat comes too!
I love the constant affirmation of both dogs and goats. Builds loyalty, strengthens the bonds, ensures greater obedience.
Im a simple man. I see firebox upload, I watch it
I still wonder why you have goats...
That is great to hear, thank you for the continued support.
I have them so I can use them as pack goats in the near future, they will be able to pack up to 50 lbs each so it will keep me hiking into my 70's. Thanks for watching!
@@powertai4831 In case he runs out of steak!

What kind of person are you to dislike a video like this? Just sad what kind of people we live among. Ty for sharing I love your goats they always bring me a smile.
Thank you 😊
Bro..., you got it going on! I’m new to your channel but I have to say this is by far the most relaxing and informative video I seen in a long time. Don’t change a thing your 100% on track !
love your animals, just watching them and seeing how happy they are says a lot about you
Thanks 👍 they are good to me 😊
Being one of your pets is like hitting the lottery!! Hahaha great video man! Love the raw appreciation of nature.

Same lmao
LOL ya that could have been bad!
Oh man, this is too funny.
You Sir are the Bob Ross of camp cooking. I love your videos.
What wonderful life you are leading, my friend!
Watching you cook for is so relaxing! I can’t explain it but I can tell you that it is very soothing.
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoy it and I appreciate you watching 🙏
36:00 I was thinking Bob Ross as soon as I saw that!
It's such a picturesque place, and that seemed like the perfect few days of camping. It's a very admirable lifestyle that you're living, keep it up!
Thank you so much for the comment, we are so glad you enjoyed watching!
When he said that, I thought he was speaking about himself in the third person. The Bob Ross of camping.
Goats, Dogs & Bushcraft all in one video!!!👀 👍
Glad you liked it 👍
Not sure how anyone could down vote this. Looks like everyone is having a great time!
I saw that stick thru the log before on a previous video. As always, thanks for sharing and God bless. Ken. This reminds me of our trip out west when we graduated hs in 69. We went to SLC and my friends uncle had a 68 Land Cruiser, 3 speed on the column & the 4wd shifter was mounted on the dash. It was a beast of a vehicle. He took us up in the Unita Mountains and we fished Strawberry Lake using velvetta cheese and salmon eggs. Sure brings back memories.. We even saw 2 cow elk and a heard of sheep. We also fished on the side of the road in a little stream that was not a foot deep, but we caught some delicious rainbows on salmon eggs.
That is awesome!! I am glad you have those memories to hold on to, I know they are some of my best as well. Utah is great for fishing and getting outdoors. Thanks for the comment Ken and have fun out there!
Just Awesome...
I love your videos and can’t get enough of them! You definitely make me better at using my firebox, but I admit the fried hash browns and fresh trout are my favorites. And cleaning my fish is so much easier, since you posted in a video, how you clean and skin your trout. Thank you Steve! Only request more videos with Emma, she reminds me of when I was young and backpacking with my dad. I love all your family trips, your kids and wife are awesome! 👍😃♥️🎣💦
Thank you Claudia, I appreciate that! That meal is my all time favorite as well to be honest. I will be getting out again come Spring here in Utah and we will take trips as a family. Thank you for the support and comment, glad that you have enjoyed the videos.
Very pleasant to watch. Thanks!
Thank you, I appreciate that!
I really would love to do this however I'm on a walker. I'm inspired to keep working hard on getting well in hopes I will one day be able too. Until tyen Thank you for the great video's!!!
I hope you get well soon! 🙏never give up!
You are the Bob Ross of Firebox Stoves fish and rice cooking.
Thank you for watching Pat, glad you enjoyed it!
@@fireboxstove What's funny is that five minutes later (i hadn't finished watching the video), as you were packing out, you came across an idyllic scene, and called it a Bob Ross painting.
The 36:00 mark is picture perfect! Absolutely beautiful scenery
I watch all the time,I have learned a lot even at my age (70) and I have been camping my whole life and still am,just got me a fire box stove, going to use it this next weekend July 28-31-2022really excited, just seen how to clean them, and pots and pans from watching him, love the doggy's and goats what a good idea on packing ,his family is cool,he does the cooking on the fire box's and can fix's so much.thanks for all you post,oh and I always used a knife to skin my fish but I learned and can skin my trout by hand by starting by the fin, thanks for showing that
You are very welcome Joyce and thank you so much for your ongoing support! I really appreciate you! I hope you have a great time with your new Firebox stove!
I think Ash's alternate name should be "Serenity" - she seems to take everything in stride with both dignity and serenity - a lovely companion.
Very nicely said 🙏
Susan, a "Balming" Companion.
I hardly watch TV channels as I prefer RUclips. This is by far the best RUclips clip I have ever watched. One man, two dogs, two goats and a firebox stove, magic and thank you. I live in Scotland I will take my dog, no goats, my hammock tarp and go fishing with a firebox. Thank you for posting and making me smile.
Well thank you so much for your kind words 😊 I'm so glad you enjoy my work 👍
If Utah looked like that right now, (although I would find it equally beautiful cloaked in snow too) I would be packing up my truck and driving West. It does make me itch for Spring, though. Thanks, Steve!
Yes I agree, it is still cold here and I cannot wait until this weather comes back. Thanks for watching and commenting as usual. Cheers!
Thanks for sharing this video, enjoy so much your outdoor adventures.
You are so welcome, thanks for always watching!
Mate you didn’t make me hungry this time I grilled a T bone with garlic tiger prawns 🦐 before pressing play 😂
Lol! 👍 Good strategy!
This guy is literally the goat of cooking on camping trips love the videos!
Thanks 👍
Keep giving us the good videos man great work!
Goats on a camping trip,,you get the award for most unique camping video ever! Loved the views and the trout looked awesome however I personally can't stand undercooked bloody meat but that's just me, very cool video ,thanks!
Thank you, I appreciate that Tommy. I am glad you enjoyed watching.
You don't have fancy drones, you don't have the latest background music or the most elaborate gear. What you've got is closeness to the animals, to the food and to the process of living in the unpredictable. That's why I am addicted. Oh, also such a great product.
Thank you so much for the kind words Jim 🙏
Love the longer videos!
Thank you, glad you enjoy them so much. I try to do them once in a while LOL.
Paisagens lindas e paz de espirito.
Ótimo vídeo!
Thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed it.
"The goats are happy too."

“Bill I don’t need your help,Go on” 😂😂Bill was hungry for steak to. He was just trying to make sure it was cooked to his perfection.
LOL he is so mischievous!
Dude, your videos have kept me sane for the past 2 winters! I'm not much of a sports or outdoor enthusiast during the winter, spring summer and fall have always been my speed. Thank you for the great outdoor content!
Epic scenery and presentation
And ...
“Teamwork”
Thank you Finn 👍
That was so cool to load the goats and dogs up to go camping.
They are fun, and sometimes a pain LOL. Thanks for watching Deborah!
I must admit I thought you were gonna butcher and eat the goats... but then my heart melted when I saw you gearing them up
Lol they won't be eaten unless push comes to shove one trip......they will haul my gear for me in 2-3 years and that will be great.
Very beautiful place! Thanks!
Thank you for watching!
This man has pet goats that travel with him?!
i think that's his food not pets
that's just so neat, they are all pitching in on the hauling!
Great video. Love the goats. Never seen something like this. Strange the goats don’t wonder of. What’s the name of the spray-pump you are using to clean your dishes please
Thank you for watching, I am glad you enjoyed it. You can find that sprayer here: www.fireboxstove.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=355&search=camp+power. It is our camp power washer. Thanks!
That's the true definition of pets, symbiosis, and the miracle of life. Awesome vid!
No one is going to comment on how much butter was used?
Is it possible to use too much butter?
Butter is good for you..
Promoting firebox outdoor utensils?
Yes... I would prefer olive oil
Always calms me and lowers my blood pressure watching your vids.. thanks man
Love to hear that JJ!
5:55 the goat says "i have bad feelin this time."
Lol 👍
Goats and dogs carrier camping staff original idea simply the best videos of camping and cook I love. This videos congrats
When you still have blood dripping on your meat.........and collect a pool on the side. Wow that is at least 1 brick of butter
I love the dogs, they are so cool carrying stuff. And the goats amazing. Beautiful place.
You're armed, right? If I were part of a traveling buffet there'd be some extra-spicy nuggets on my hip to deter those wanting samples. Peace.
LOL I definitely make sure I have protection with me. In 30 years I have not had any run ins with anything so that is good, knock on wood.
Enjoyed watching your video with the dogs and goats on the trail. Cooking and camping are great. Thanks for sharing this video.
Holy shit, this guy is legit camping with goats . This is so mind blowing, I have been amazed
LOL my plan is to have them be pack goats for me in a couple years so I can hike longer. I am glad you enjoyed watching, thanks for the comment as well.
Thanks for sharing
You have got a next level of aero press everytime you make a fresh coffee no filter! Great 👍
It works great!! Thanks for watching!
So relaxing to watch! Thanks so much!
I never thought goats of all the animals would make the best hiking pets.
Ya they are great and on top of it in 2-3 years they will each carry 50 lbs and help me be able to hike well into my 70's. Thanks for watching!
@@fireboxstove I actually never considered that.
Thank you for sharing your adventures. Fishing, camping, and cooking. These videos are so relaxing to watch.
Thank you for watching, it is appreciated.
Ash and that red coat is just classic. She looks so comfortable in it.
She loves it, her fur is just too thin or something. She gets super cold but Junie does not at all.
LOL sushi rice and trout, that's the good life with the ultimate social distancing! Nice
Thanks!
Those goats are livin their best goat lives

These are the coolest long form non-sales driven infomercials that I have ever seen.... just take the products out into the field and use them while filming your experience. Such a novel concept
Thanks! So glad you like it as much as I do 👍🙏
Outside of a few John Wayne movies and my first reading of the Book of Mormon, This was one of the most badass videos I've ever seen. Life done right.
Well, I got hooked on your videos today, it’s been my all day intertainment . I love them all. I really enjoy your kids, they are so sweet.
That is great to hear, we are happy to have ya along for the journey!
Looks peaceful and fun
Yes!
I've seen pack horses, mules, burrows, but never pack goats! I love your videos and your animals. You could never get away with hiking in sandals in my place in the Deep South swamp. Love your products thank you.
Thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed it. Ya we imagine sandals in the Deep South swamp would not work very well.
