1. Another option against the light down special is an air grab. Easier to get more damage in a jump compared to trying to time the jumping attack. Also leading to better oki. From Sirius707 on reddit.

Your 50% meter reversal is the easiest option. Another catch all for both is a neutral jump into a jumping attack or air throw. And if you want to, the ultimate version of lucilius teleport isn't a mixup so you could react with your light. I broke down some more options in my video on counters for the teleport.
