Thank you very much for sharing this video. I had heard about "noh" many years ago; I had never attended a performance, and a couple of days ago I have remembered about this phenomenon of Japanese culture, and I have decided to find out something about it. The best way to respect is knowledge, and the best way to knowledge is respect.
Great video. I've read a lot of Noh plays, but have never been able to see one live, I've only seen clips here on RUclips. I'm designing a set for a (fictional, for a Master's class) production of The Bacchae which is set in Asia and is an amalgamation of Greek theatre, Japanese Noh and Kabuki theatre, and Chinese Opera. This has provided a great look at the set design and is really helpful.
Thank you for posting this fascinating overview. I'm about to audition for a production of Mishima's "Lady Aoi" which will be influenced by Noh, so a little background knowledge is a wonderful confidence-booster, many thanks!
Thanks for this very informative video. I came across Noh drama when reading-up on Akira Kurosawa's film Throne of Blood where stylistic elements are drawn from Noh drama.
Thanks for the video! Very useful!Btw, I will go to osaka and kyoto next week for filming of a tv programe, how can I contact the noh performers for shooting? Do you have any idea?

A very fine introduction.
I was looking for a good explanation of this art, thank you.
