yea, that area where your wanted dead or alive will not let you pass, you have to get past chapter 6 to go there, just so you know... also, if you go to any train station or post office, you can pay those bounties you've accumulated & stop them from chasing you all the time.
kendall if you want to explore the big area of the map you need to complete all of the story missions some of them are sad but it pays off to explore the area
