We had a similar plan and eventual outcome. We had a 4 month epic trip planned to Quebec and back to Southern California through 16 US national parks, 3 Canadian National Parks, and lots of other sites. Mainly we had LOTS of campgrounds booked that each cost us a small fee when canceled, adding up to quite a sum for not getting anything out of it. That doesn't include the DAYS (weeks, months?) we spent making that plan. We too eventually picked up in Durango and had a much shorter 46 day adventure, including camping in Cortez, a couple places in Utah, one in Wyoming, 2 in Idaho, 5 in Oregon, and 4 in California.
Sounds like you were still able to have an awesome trip even though it wasn't what you originally planned. We look forward to the day when we can also spend 46 days on a new adventure.
We did have an adventure and we were happy it was what it was. A four month road trip might have been too much. I did miss out on checking off the remaining 6 states of the 50 I have yet to visit. I’ll get them yet. Our continuing adventures are written up in Tesla3v.blogspot.com . I’m still writing up our last trip sans trailer. We’re heading out again after thanksgiving.
It would be more informative & interesting if you showed & talked more about your experience in using the Safari Condo. How was the experience using the trailer camping?
Enjoyable video. My wife and I are very interested in this trailer. One concern we have; where do you store clothing and other items? There does not seem to be a lot of storage space. Admittedly, I’ve never seen one in person. I look forward to your upcoming videos.
New friends here. 👋🏼. Glad everything worked out. Looking forward to seeing your travels.

Good question! We'll do a trailer tour video soon and talk about how the space works out for this.
Apologies if I missed it, what are these trailers selling for after import fees etc.? Thanks!
Here's a link to the most current info : safaricondo.com/en/caravanes-alto/ Prices have changed since we ordered. Happy browsing!
Do not park your Alto next to a tree during a storm. Lesson learned they attract each other. Doesn’t matter even if the tree is East.
Good tip, thanks! I'm sorry you had to learn this the hard way!
You guys are cute
