Oh it’s definitely Billy that drops big money on his family . Bill worked hard and did absolutely set both kids up racing but isn’t that what we are supposed to do as parents? Introduce your kids to something we love and support them while teaching them how to be good people as well as perfecting a skill that both boys have and inherited as well as refined there skill behind the wheel and also at least with Billy ( Tommy according to what I understand wasnt interested on the mechanical side but is now learning) helped refine his mechanical ability and understanding of suspension and tuning! Billy is definitely giving back … people are so jealous of others who succeed… god job family !

I have a 69camaro that i cruised street raced bracket raced and took my sons in all around Pennsylvania where we live and now as the Camaro just sits the boys don't even remember all the great times we all had in it. So for all that Billy thank you for that. I've been watching your channel i think since the beginning and your brothers and father's channels as well and I must say that i am a hugr fan as it feels like I'm watching my life unfold right in front of me as i to work on carburetors and race engines for people all over my area ad well as snowmobile and motorcycles as well. Shot, 9inch with 3.50s, on 28 x 14.50s Hoosier Quick Time Pros!), my older brother ( still has a 1973 nova, with a 327, 3.73s, and a 3,600 tq. converter ). But my Dad lived far away, and passed before we could be together. It always seemed, we would say one day this will happen, until it didnt happen😢. Time is short on earth, and if we dont do it know, it might not ever happen!? Love your family, and friends everyday we have on earth, like its your last, because it just might be, ❤️ you all!

I cannot begin to express the joy and excitement of seeing the OG Nova in the shop receiv9ng some much needed attention. To be able to see the happiness, excitement, love and pride that he has for Billy and Tommy in general. But seeing that wonderful look and smile as he watches his sons not just work on the car, but the incredible memories and joy that they bring as they revive the OG. As they were rolling the old girl towards the garage, and watching Billy reminisce, then topping it off by saying that it felt awesome to finally being able to do this for his dad... that was just awesome. I can't wait to see what the SBE SBC will take. This is what I was going to do with my car. I have an all cast SBE standard bore 350 with a set of cast flat tops, .032 ring gap, Performer RPM heads, solid roller cam, fuel injected and a 107mm turbo. In my car now. But have an all forged 383 rotating assembly as well. Trying to decide if I want to leave the 350 in it for now.

Hey Guys , I have to say I like this build, I have owned my 1972 Nova SS since 1993 it was my daily driver all through my 20's if I hadn't blew my money on drugs and alcohol, it would way nicer than it is , then I quit all that stuff but got married and had kids I still have the Nova but it's sitting in the garage, I started building a destroaked 350 small block, it's a 331 now it has a 327 large journal crank , connecting rods from the guy that the machining, don't remember what brand , arp bolts and .030 327 pistons , got the rings set up for boost , always wanted turbos on it . I'm down to cam selection and what timing set up I want, the 350 in it now has a Pete Jackson gear drive. But your Dad's Nova is cool , God Bless y'all . Oh I also have a set of world products sportsman 2's that are from 1994 they are in really good shape

Bill I'm crippled and diabetic on ssi I have one foot left in the mid 90s I had a big block chevelle I now have kids and a 11 year old son who loves drag racing and looks up to me any idea's how I can get back into drag racing I am a master tech in automotive and a body man I'm just in a wheelchair now. Any ideas would be great I love your story about your family and how you started with a budget I would love to be just like you!
I don’t know what to tell you as I have no experience with being disabled, but a good friend of mine lost a leg years ago and he had hand controls made. That may be an option. Best of luck to you and I hope you can get back in the car.
@The Old Man’s Garage I can drive normally now I have alot of talent my problem is ssi don't pay crap I just figured that you are creative and intelligent and maybe you can give me some ideas on what I can do to make side money 💰 People aren't willing to give a man a chance because I am missing a foot like I said I can do alot bodywork,engines, transmissions I can weld it just figuring out how to sell myself. Nobody wants to be a failure in their kids eyes and I was hurt in a drag car and being diabetic my foot wouldn't heal I still love the sport and you inspire me to want to put a car together again it's the only addiction I have. I guess my only other chance I might have would be to buy some more of the merchandise and maybe win that beautiful mustang you have 😆

Damn man I wish you guys where closer . I have a stock tank out of my 68 that’s sumped and narrowed for mini tubs . It’s 16 gallons . Car has a cell now . My old combo was a 355 stock 1970 LT1 block and crank , eagle rods and some forged pistons , afr 220’s and an F-1 car went best of 9.18 in the 1/4 and hurt itself when I bumped the limiter on 2-3 shift an 18 lbs . Car ran 9.40’s all day on like 12 -14 on c-16 with a blow through . First pass out on the cast iron motor with a baby p600 it went 10.5 . Less go 10.0’s
First car was a all motor 1969 nova with a 396 and a 4 speed. Loved that car. Owned a few other cars since then but never enjoyed them as much as the Nova. I'm excited to see it back in action. God Bless you guys. Thanks for the memories.

Great idea Billy. I love the idea of getting it running and driving then you can upgrade the brakes and suspension while you're driving it. Run it this summer and worry about the paint next winter. You boys give me hope for your generation.

This is what I’ve been waiting for !! I knew that once Bill started racing regularly again it wouldn’t be long ! Billy your Dad is going to be jacked I hope … it could go sideways because I know he wants to basically go through the entire car ! But hopefully getting it running and racing again it will re kindle his desire to do it right but still play with it while doing the work!
I'm a HARDCORE turbo guy and I'm putting together a drag and drive turbo street right now, but I would argue that a blower is the most FUN combo for the street. INSTANT boost and no bottle to fill. If you just want insane throttle response and instant wheel spin whenever you want it, a supercharger is hard to beat for fun factor.

I can't wait to see what the SBE SBC will take. This is what I was going to do with my car. I have an all cast SBE standard bore 350 with a set of cast flat tops, .032 ring gap, Performer RPM heads, solid roller cam, fuel injected and a 107mm turbo. In my car now. But have an all forged 383 rotating assembly as well. Trying to decide if I want to leave the 350 in it for now.
Great job I bet your dad is very proud of you guys I have a 71 myself I took it apart 30 years ago I'm just now starting to put it back together so me and my son can enjoy it

Hey Guys , I have to say I like this build, I have owned my 1972 Nova SS since 1993 it was my daily driver all through my 20's if I hadn't blew my money on drugs and alcohol, it would way nicer than it is , then I quit all that stuff but got married and had kids I still have the Nova but it's sitting in the garage, I started building a destroaked 350 small block, it's a 331 now it has a 327 large journal crank , connecting rods from the guy that the machining, don't remember what brand , arp bolts and .030 327 pistons , got the rings set up for boost , always wanted turbos on it . I'm down to cam selection and what timing set up I want, the 350 in it now has a Pete Jackson gear drive. But your Dad's Nova is cool , God Bless y'all . Oh I also have a set of world products sportsman 2's that are from 1994 they are in really good shape

Bill I'm crippled and diabetic on ssi I have one foot left in the mid 90s I had a big block chevelle I now have kids and a 11 year old son who loves drag racing and looks up to me any idea's how I can get back into drag racing I am a master tech in automotive and a body man I'm just in a wheelchair now. Any ideas would be great I love your story about your family and how you started with a budget I would love to be just like you!
I don’t know what to tell you as I have no experience with being disabled, but a good friend of mine lost a leg years ago and he had hand controls made. That may be an option. Best of luck to you and I hope you can get back in the car.
@The Old Man’s Garage I can drive normally now I have alot of talent my problem is ssi don't pay crap I just figured that you are creative and intelligent and maybe you can give me some ideas on what I can do to make side money 💰 People aren't willing to give a man a chance because I am missing a foot like I said I can do alot bodywork,engines, transmissions I can weld it just figuring out how to sell myself. Nobody wants to be a failure in their kids eyes and I was hurt in a drag car and being diabetic my foot wouldn't heal I still love the sport and you inspire me to want to put a car together again it's the only addiction I have. I guess my only other chance I might have would be to buy some more of the merchandise and maybe win that beautiful mustang you have 😆

Damn man I wish you guys where closer . I have a stock tank out of my 68 that’s sumped and narrowed for mini tubs . It’s 16 gallons . Car has a cell now . My old combo was a 355 stock 1970 LT1 block and crank , eagle rods and some forged pistons , afr 220’s and an F-1 car went best of 9.18 in the 1/4 and hurt itself when I bumped the limiter on 2-3 shift an 18 lbs . Car ran 9.40’s all day on like 12 -14 on c-16 with a blow through . First pass out on the cast iron motor with a baby p600 it went 10.5 . Less go 10.0’s
First car was a all motor 1969 nova with a 396 and a 4 speed. Loved that car. Owned a few other cars since then but never enjoyed them as much as the Nova. I'm excited to see it back in action. God Bless you guys. Thanks for the memories.

Great idea Billy. I love the idea of getting it running and driving then you can upgrade the brakes and suspension while you're driving it. Run it this summer and worry about the paint next winter. You boys give me hope for your generation.

This is what I’ve been waiting for !! I knew that once Bill started racing regularly again it wouldn’t be long ! Billy your Dad is going to be jacked I hope … it could go sideways because I know he wants to basically go through the entire car ! But hopefully getting it running and racing again it will re kindle his desire to do it right but still play with it while doing the work!
I'm a HARDCORE turbo guy and I'm putting together a drag and drive turbo street right now, but I would argue that a blower is the most FUN combo for the street. INSTANT boost and no bottle to fill. If you just want insane throttle response and instant wheel spin whenever you want it, a supercharger is hard to beat for fun factor.
