I didn't even know this penalty existed

Have you ever heard of a head slap penalty that isn't leverage? Me neither. Well, the Cowboys accepted it despite making a 64 yarder against the Texans and ended up turning it over on downs

Actually that penalty was enacted in the late u0's. (77 maybe 78?) If you've ever played and have been on the receiving end of one of these moves that has been delivered by someone who knows how to do it, well let just say it brings new meaning to "getting your bell rung." Guys like Deacon Jones from the Rams used it with tremendous results. Problem is a couple of these attention getters can leave the recipient with hearing damage and possibly neck injuries. But damn it was fun to watch Deacon smacking guys around back in the day. RUclips Deacon Jones highlights and that penalty will make a bit more sense😂
