I love how he explains the horse to the people but he never degrades the people he actually connects the horse to the people but it is true that there are some horses that are not for some people
Thanks 🙏
I would love it if you would give updates on some of these horses after 4 or 6 months. Let us know what has happened!
#VictoryTour! 🏆🐎🙌
It amazes me how many people buy green horses when they are very green themselves. I hope this owner will let Ryan work with this horse long enough to make him a safe partner
She sent him to a friend of mine @peartreeranch they’re doing great together 👍
I give mine to my daughter 😂, although I’ve been riding for a long time, I know my limits now, she’s young and brave and agile, puts the miles on. Not sure if she appreciates it, but I don’t think I’m getting my latest purchase back 🤦♀️😂
@@Cathan1856 sounds like her keeping this one is payback for the previous ones shes helped you out with haha
What a great and handsome young horse he is. Very willing and the level of trust with you from the get go tells me he’s going to train well. Sensitive but intelligent and thoughtful, he’ll be a very good riding companion for someone, either her or another, as she decides.👏
The way he kept going to you for pets at the end❤ You can tell how soft and less reactive he gets when he realizes you can give him guidance and direction.
Time and time again it’s not the horse that needs the work it’s the owner
At least she asked for help, nobody is perfect and we can all learn to be better
right, he's not being defensive in the beginning, he just wants her in L eye where he is more comfortable with her there.
Someone is going to be perfect for him he's just beautiful. I have a feeling he's starting to enjoy this session... progress so swiftly so efficiently. Love watching.
I am no means an expert, but in the right hands, I think he is going to be a really cool horse.
Curious, thinks these through, and pretty willing.
I like him!
❤️🌵☀️⛈️🌈☮️🐎
He seems like a really good horse. He was so willing and didn't really give you any problems. I feel like he'll do well.
I am surprised how well his attention to wanting to learn at a young age. Well spent minutes with this young horse.
Definitely
Cute little horse. You give such good advice!
Thank you so much!
I learn so much every time you train a horse. I was bucked off once when the horse I was riding got scared and I landed like a cartoon character not hitting the rocks where hit...thank God!
😮 👍
What a sweet friendly little guy! A couple minutes in, and I wasn't too sure about him being easily calmed. And by the end, he was so different, you could see he'd figured so much out. It was as though he realized "oh, I'm in class and I'm here to learn". His muzzle handshakes with Ryan at the end were adorable.
You're such a good teacher - of humans and horses. Thank you for repeating (basically) a lot of the same information in so many videos - its so helpful to see it play out in different situations. You are so talented and generous to share your knowledge. :)
Thank you 😊
Not a bad colt at all, so far anyway. But, I wouldn't be buy a greenish 3 year unless I were experienced at starting colts, or could hire someone to help me out or train him for me. JMO.
Seems like a sweet natured horse really. Fresh off the pasture and new to the concept of learning or being taught but he let you, someone he bares knows who is not light weight, flop all over him and only seemed mildly concerned by it. I think the main issue is he is still not sure what you want a lot of the time.
That's a nice horse. I'm see she hasnt done more grooming. Just being with him and taking halter walks. That's where the relationship begins. I ground worked my horses 4 to 6 months before riding. They took great care of me!
Nice little gelding!
I think so too!
Lovely little horse, he's going to be a great deal of fun, he looks very honest to me
It's definitely been of benefit to have had most of my riding experience on energetic, spooky, green, uncertain, disrespectful horses. It's taught me queues, patience, grit, persistence. I can also tell the difference between a horse that "knows better" and a horse that's just untrained or untrusting. I've met so many people that have only ever handled dead-broke predictable easy horses, and it's definitely a hindrance to their knowledge. This'll be an awesome experience for her.
When I watch these videos, I relate to my journey. I learned the process with a gentle and well trained horse. I gradually took on a series of horses with less and less training which helped me to improve my skills. Novices are expecting an awful lot to take on development of a totally untrained horse.
Ryan, that was your best training monologue I've seen. Great lessons all the way through. And what a great horse. The owner has a special one there. If he ever needed a home I'd buy him in a minute.
Goodness he just really took to you. I loved his attention and intelligence.
What a sweetie pie! He's Def going to be the right horse for someone
Your verbiage is so valuable --"no blame to either horse or owner " just have to start where they are like you have said. It is so so important to have help in buying a horse in making a good match for owners expectation . . Thanks v
Cool 😎 thanks 👌 Ryan ❤
As usual, well done! Glad you fixed the halter.
He would be good for you Ryan, he looks like he would learn quickly
Definitely
Such a great trainer. I love how he trains people just as much, if not more, than the actual horse. It’s hardly ever about the horse. Wish I could get him up here to Alaska for a clinic!
Love this because it gives so many options on working with a young horse!
Ohh, I like him. For such a green horse he did great.
🤗. The Hobby Horse World really needs people like you.
That’s a smart horse. Just very reactive. I really like how you are doing this. Big difference in him already. Going to
Be a great horse if he continues with getting proper training
I can tell that horse is gonna be a good one, he’s got a really nice mind and is beautiful too.
This is now a favorite video of mine. I feel like a learned a lot. The first horse I ever owned was a dream and would do anything I asked with little to no hesitation and I worry about getting a new horse because I was so young and inexperienced back then and I want to make sure I do things properly next time in case the next horse isnt as forgiving as my first horse hahaha
Thanks
Never judge a book by its cover! A very smart horse.
What a beautiful horse, and very correct conformationaly. I also like his attitude, forward but reasonable.
Related note: who's his breeder?
He's nice! He knew you are the man, Ryan!
Would love to see his progress.
Now that will be a really fun horse to ride in the long run when hes more tame and confident, I suspect he will be one of those really well balances of both woe and go!
Ryan Rose, you really are a fantastic horseman. Hat tip.
Lovely horse just needs time and education 🥰
Ryan your presence, grace, choice of position & all horse work. Is absolutely top line.. PLS DONT WASTE A SINGLE SECOND.. having to defend a single action.....asking, suggesting, empathising, putting energy on the important point for You. Just dont engage. End Of..
What a nice horse
This is a nice horse! A good thinker!
Answer: That all depends on her.
Wow, we agree! 😂
He is a wonderful horse! Very smart.
Thank you ☺️
I’m a big fan of your videos, love your work however I do have a really big pet peeve with horse training and that’s where the halter is sitting on the horse. I believe this is the second video of yours I’ve seen where the halter is pretty low on the horses nose, just something to keep in mind in the future.
This horse is the EXACT SAME as my 3 yr old!! Like, if you painted him buckskin and put him in my paddock I don't think I would notice.
My boy is hyper when you first get him out (I give 1, he gives 1,000) then he gets sticky just like that. My boy is fine with everything people do around him but is sensitive to tools. AND he is a little head shy with tools too.
It's crazy. I feel like I found his American twin.
I think he's a good boy, has a good temperament and will learn fast
Not a horse owner but enjoy it. The only thing I do not like about these vids is no follow up . She kept him etc?
Challenge accepted, I’ll work on doing follow up videos 👍
yes please @@ryanrosehorsemanship
I love these plants
Cute little fella, but you gotta fix that halter, not where I’d want to have it. Owner is on the right track, give yourself more credit. Watch more videos of Ryan’s and just take it slow, you will get there.
I always think it is funny that people give their animals bad-ass names and are surprised when they act all bad-ass.
I feel very sorry for this young horse having to endure that halter so low on his face for most of that encounter. I can't imagine how much that must have hurt. 😪
Indeed you to train my horse to ride and another horse to keep trotting
i haven't even watched this video..only 2 minutes in - bht the answer is NO this is NOT THE RIGHT HORSE FOR HER!! She is needs a seasoned, broke, super broke 12 year old (not that that is even a guarantee) I wish people would realize it costs the same to take care of, feed, & vet a horse that works for you as it does to keep one that doesn't work for you..Being 52 years old, the last thing I need to buy is an unbroke 3 year old..
He sure is long backed.
What is the saying green n green you get black and blue
how can I create a strong and sincere bond with total trust with my 1 year and almost 9 month old horse??
Pls tell me something😅
I've been breaking colts close to 40 years anywhere from 65 to 100 colts a year race horses though. For one thing you're just starting him . One thing the round pen is to big . Colts once they learn a bad habit that son-of-a-gun to get rid of and three to four days acting I can have him lunge in both directions without a without a lunge line make the circle that way he don't have much room to do all that crazy stuff
Ryan, what exactly do you mean when you talk about being sneaky or not sneaky?
Imo he needs to get his bangs cut! Then he would see better and wouldn't be surprised as much about movement .
His forelock isn’t the problem, it’s his inexperience which is to be expected in a young, green horse.
horses are supposed to have forelocks . . .if the wild ones can survive with them I'm sure a domesticated colt can handle it lol
Gorgeous horse, lovely and sensitive….perfect horse for someone with a bit more knowledge. I think the lady’s intentions are right, but he isn’t the horse for her.
I can't quite picture the lady jumping up onto his back.
Hey Ryan for your own peace of mind & soul. Imagine humans are the same, But reverse it. You know this move.......With any of them Listen & give at the right time to determine your own personal space!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! out of YOUR space....till they ask for connection.....You now the rest....
Some multi media morons will use the platform to always step there shoulders' In !!!!!and create an aggressive BS solution....
Nice small Mustang. Makes good little kid horse......
❤
It bothers me that people who don’t understand horses feel that they can train a young horse. They should stick to an older, trained horse.
I think its an Left brained introvert... : sticky bit lazy, down to earth but when he gets the moment he could be playfull. I dont see any right brain in him
He’s a great horse but I don’t think the right one for her.
Am I the only one who gets annoyed when horses hair is in their face n eyes? Lol like no wonder they get worried. They can't see.
that's not how that works lol. They're supposed to have long forelocks for bugs
Anybody heard of SLOW....and grooming....hmmm 🤔...???
