Hi Mark, I have a few flights under my belt, it's an absolute pleasurable beast to fly, climbs over 1000fpm, 55mph in the cruise and no real vices in slow flight. Bring on the better weather.
Okay you got me Giles.... After seeing you fly this beautiful machine at Sun n Fun I'm back here to learn more. I'm definately a Vittorazi Cosmos guy because of my experience with the other engine. I'm impressed with how small it folds down to save hanger space. I was blown away with the performance of the aircraft. You flew beautifully in some windy conditions herte in Florida! I could really see myself flying one of these in the not too distant future.
Hi Rick, coming from you that really means a lot. Flexwing, weight shift or trike, have really taken over for me. You have some beautiful areas to fly over and I can finally say I've flown a trike in Florida. You appear in today's video as well.
Great to see you pick upo your new toy and the service you got. Not keen on the start up (chock on start, shut down get out, chock off, back in and start), I think I would have to find a way to turn the chock on and off from the seat (or at least off). I do think the liquid cooled engine set up is good for a hard working small 2 stroke, for UK flying.
Hi Algy, it is a lovely machine and I can't wait to share the adventures. I have just fitted the remote choke system, I just need to test it. Keeping this engine warm on long descents is interesting.
@@GolfFoxtrot22 bit envious you’ve seen my trike and I’ve only seen pics but c’est la vie. 😊 Ben’s told me the wing has let Ukraine 🇺🇦 and is in transit. Really looking forward to firing up the 303.
Interested to learn more about the additional sail support & the venting. You will enjoy the liquid cooled fun. More CC's and a smaller wing = zoom zoom. Looking forward to updates on your new toy. 😊😎
@@GolfFoxtrot22 6.6 gallons in American. 😂 Nice 👍. Should have pretty good range. Hopefully the weather is good enough for a maiden this weekend. I expect video next week. 😄

I hate carburetors, I have a Polini 130 which i did the jetting, needle height and float height chase with the help of an experienced flyer/mechanic Robinson. It now runs smooth uses little fuel and starts most times first go. All that said Vittoratzi has a fuel injected engine this will be my next engine. Fuel injection is what has made all modern cars reliable, and that's a good word for flying 🙂👍
Hi Blue, good to see you again. I do like the EFI engine but at the price they are putting it out for, humm, I'll wait. I've just tweeted my 303, and that did start nicely after a week, straight away in the button. It's like to be a flier on the lighter end of flying, you do need to be a mechanic as well.
I love big boxes with airplanes in them! Thanks for the great video, this looks like a wonderful machine. Is the yellow band over the radiator to help limit cooling during the winter? I have a Polini 250 (I know there are some differences such as a different carb) and I hardly use the choke at all, even when it's fairly cool. I have both pull and electric start. What I do is make sure there's gas up to the carb, pull the recoil start several times gently with the ignition off, turn on the ignition and fire it up with either the electric start or pull start.
Hi Stone, thank you and I always appreciate your comments. Yes the yellow band is to keep the radiator blanked, it cools down too well as the NINE flies faster than paratrikes. I have had more success with the pull start from cold but I do like the option for electric start. What do you fly?
@@GolfFoxtrot22 For the last four seasons I've been flying an Aeros ANT with a Fox TL13 wing. When I was looking to purchase a light trike here in the States I liked the Flylight product but there weren't very many here, so I went with the Aeros. I'm really looking at a NINE (twenty five years ago I was going to build a Chaser, had plans and everything, but it was too much work). With a NINE wing I want some wind protection. I have an Aeros Pod for my trike, it's a thing of beauty, light as a feather, but there's not much wind protection...only your feet. About two months ago I wrote to Aeros and asked them about a windshield for their pod. Sergey wrote back and told me they were working on it ... he even sent a couple of photos... I was quite impressed with their responsiveness. I'm sort of waiting to see how their testing goes. On my Polini 250 (it's a Black model) it doesn't seem like I need to block part of the radiator. I have the factory installed thermostat, and that seems to keep the temp. in the good range, even if I fly in the cold...which I don't fly in very often. However, one thing that's different...my radiator is underneath...down low and under the engine ...I would imagine this could make a difference... plus I fly way slower then the NINE🙂
@@stone8597 it's amazing how different designs cater for and influence the cooling systems. I've been told the NINE is a bit of a chaser beater. I've never had the privilege of flying one.
@GolfFoxtrot22 I saw the ANT trike frame on the Aeros site and wondered what the pros/cons are to the new FlyLight Nine Trike frame, and why you got the latter? ANT frame seems very light. Anyway just curious. Great videos.
Hi Greg, I'd actually known about the NiNE project for quite a while before the wing was released and actually wanted a trike to go places and carry kit, eg camping kit etc. I'm actually editing a video atm where a friend and I go fly camping and intake my NiNE trike, there isn't any space to safely store anything on an ANT trike and I hadn't really considered it as an option if I'm honest. I hope that helps. Glad you are enjoying the videos.
@@greghauptmann I have filled the tank to the most I can get in it, 23litres, and I haven't really noticed any issues. The MTOW is 250kgs, so I don't think I'm close to that. This week's video is myself and Paul going fly camping with full fuel and camping kit as well.
@@GolfFoxtrot22 I’ll keep my eyes peeled for it. I’m thinking 18L whilst ok most days, it would be better to have the 25L (like the Nine frame) available so when you want to do a longer flight you have more.
Is the Nine a whole new trike/ wing combo or is it a Peabee with a bigger motor and a smaller wing? Because I don't see any Nine trike or wing listed on their website.
It's a whole new Combination. The trike is the same sub chassis but completely different fairing design with the bigger screen, and you'll see in a more recent video, an instrument binnacle. The wing is on a whole new level.
Can’t wait to see it in flight. That should have a rapid climb rate! What prop are you using? Would this benefit from E-prop ground adjustable prop? ( I know…More expense!) 🙄

Hi Ed, I hope you are well? The biggest issue in the UK with aircraft with more than one seat is it has to go through a certification process called Section S approval, this takes a long time and lots of money. The new DeltaJet 500 is the only one that's been approved in years. I do know where you are coming from.
